There was only ONE food item I tried that was worth consuming, except you can't really take it with you - the hot fudge on the ice cream! Please sell this in jars, the taste rivals Sanders! But, everything else I tried? Barely edible. Sampled 4 ice cream flavors , just because I was trying to find one that was palatable, settled on vanilla because I felt bad sampling more flavors...the ice cream is very poor quality. Being a Michigan company, I am surprised that they don't have Guernsey ice cream? That would be a welcome improvement for sure! Purchased 3-4 chocolates to go, I think one with cherries, another with maple, maybe a coconut, and a Buckeye. Some of the best hot chocolates I've ever had are from chocolate shops (makes sense) so I had high hopes. The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.

During busy times on Middlebelt it can be a little difficult if you are heading south but there is an entry further north in the shopping plaza that you can use that makes it better. The store is unique as there are 'robots' displayed around the room above the food displays. They are easy to miss if you don't look up! I believe the robots would sell very well also but they don't seem to be for sale. I have never seen anything like them anywhere else. This location is great for packaged and bulk candy but I am reluctant with the powdered items. The powdered items are separated in two groups but I don't know why they were split up. In any case the same situation applies to the cereals. They appear to be of good quality but the manner in which they are stored gives me question. The place is well lit and the staff is friendly. The floors could use a sweeping, mop and polish! Great place for savings and quality candy and some baking needs.

Kitchen Creations is the Margie's of Farmington Hills! They're closed Sunday and Mondays, but it doesn't really pose a problem to me since most of my orders aren't due until Friday-Sunday anyways. Plus, since I know they're business hours I can plan accordingly. It really makes life that much easier. They have everything I need - boxes, boards, foil, icing color, sweetex, cookie cutters, candy molds...they have it all. The only thing they don't carry are the scalloped edge gold round cake boards that I would normally buy at Margie's. It saved on having to buy foil to cover a board when doing a birthday cake, but it's just a minor inconvenience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Huge selection for whatever your craft is! Do beware on the parking lot though. There's a dance studio next door that tends to fill up parking spots. Plus people tend to drive a little fast thru the adjoining parking lot & Firestone - just be a defensive driver when it's busy!
