Justin was very nice and personable. He had advice on hairstyling tips that no one else has offered me before. He did a great job of communicating what he was doing and why. If you're working towards a hairstyle, he's determined to get you where you want to be. The entire shop seems to truly care about their customers. I'd definitely recommend scheduling an appointment for their shop. Great quality of care and friendly staff all for a good price.

I'd been recently fussing over my hair and she persuaded me to give Chris a visit. I was delighted to be able to schedule my appointment online. You can select your appointment time from half hour increments when Chris is available. He does have 2 barber chairs but currently he's the only one holding down the fort. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly as was his current customer getting his hair done. It's a wee place but cozy and comfortable. $25 for a haircut, less for kids cuts and beard trims. Chris is very good at what he does and he worked with me to come up with a style I would be happy with, and could grow into if I wanted to change it. (I brought photos of what I was looking for) He also told me that I have great hair and could pretty much do whatever I wanted with it---and no hair stylist has ever told me that. I am part SubSaharan (despite people trying to say to me otherwise) and so because of that my hair has a tendency to snarl since it gets into tightly wound curls. I had asked my stylist (Angie) to do a long layered cut and to do a "Protective hairstyle." Somehow, I felt like the vibes were off. Although it no doubt looked amazing the first day, not even a week later my hair is tangling the same exact way as before I had gone to her to get it fixed. Say what you think, but the last photo is immediately after the appointment and these other three are the photos of what she had done to my hair a couple of days after my appointment. (My hair is definitely not made for applying heavy heat like that!)

I decided to try them again and booked with their online booking process. The night before after hours I get an email they cancelled the appointment because I wrote a bad review several years ago. No attempt was ever made to make things right or go through with the appointment and put their best foot forward and get a great review. I don't think the owner can take constructive criticism at all. Even if they are great at what they do, the attitude is vey poor.
