Great experience. We wanted to rent electric bikes to tour the area and they were super helpful in getting us up & running. The owner told us we should cross over the bridge and take the bikes and ride them on the beach. We're glad we listened because it was a blast. We also toured some neighborhoods and felt like we got to see 'real' neighborhoods while riding around. The bikes were easy to manage and a lot of fun to ride, especially when hitting the throttle for an extra boost. The owner gave us a map to show us some highlights of places to go, that was helpful. Of course you can just ride around, but having a destination suggested by a local is a bonus. The owner was super chill & nice - I'd definitely recommend. read more

We took this bike tour for something to do on our weekend trip to Charleston. I'm recovering from ACL surgery and figured it would be a fun trip and an easy bike ride. The bike ride itself was easy, however I am only giving this trip 4 stars because of two reasons. The first reason- we were expecting to see more historical stops on the trip, like Rainbow Row or something, and we did not. We saw some historical sites, but they just weren't ones we thought we'd see. Second- the roads where we were told would have little to no traffic, still had a lot of traffic. I didn't understand the throttle on the bike apparently and fell behind the group. The tour guide who was supposed to be behind me, was not, and instead I had a few big trucks on several occasions behind me which made the ride a bit less enjoyable. We have taken other bike tours in the past, and maybe I am just just more used to rural routes, but for me this route was a bit unsafe. The guides were very nice, so I don't want people to think it's a bad tour, it just wasn't one of my favorites. read more

This E-Bike tour of Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms was the highlight of our stay in the Mount Pleasant section of Charleston SC. We booked a two hour tour early in the morning to be first out on the back roads riding past historic homes , Fort Moultrie, the old fort bunkers on the beach now converted into beach front homes and over Hunley Bridge were the Confederate armor-clad submarine H.L. Hunley made regular deployments through Breach Inlet. The tour guide Thomas A Jones ( a fourth generation resident ) is a history major with full knowledge surrounding his home town. You can also book self guided tours but you may not find the tree Edger Allen Poe contemplated under whilst enlisted in the army 1828. Thank you Thomas . read more

Two bikes and a map We called at the last minute and all the tours were booked. Teddy suggested we rent a couple bikes and they would give us a map. It turned out a Fantastic choice ! We rode thru Sullivan Island to Isle of Palms. Past all the beautiful houses and even rode a couple miles on the beach. I'm sure the guided tour is great, but the "self guided" tour was a perfect choice for us. We will do it again read more

My wife's cousin introduced my wife to e-bikes, via Rebellion Roads. What an awesome way to cover more ground faster, something that I also did with one of my sons today. Ty met us at 9, gave us a lesson in how to use them, and provided a google maps path for us to follow. An awesome experience. He also introduced us to Relive, an app that recorded our path, associated photos taken along the way with points on the way, and created a video tying it all together, which we were then able to share with family and friends. read more

My wife and I rented 2 E-Bikes for 2 days and they were great. It is a much better way to get around Charleston than a car. The bikes were delivered to our hotel, with helmets, locks, and chargers. The batteries charge in your room overnight. We left the bikes at the hotel and they came and picked them up. The bikes new and very up to date. No cheap old bikes. Um, Yeah, If you are tired of walking up and down the Historic district and want to roll around Sullivan Island and Old Mt Pleasant on an awesome ebike, this is your place!!! So much fun!!! Their crew are all ebike geniuses and can set you up on the proper bike. I am 6'2" and they set me up on one of the larger bikes. They also had great tips on where to go and what to see. My husband & I had a great time today on the Shores EBike tour (11/12/2022). All the employees were very friendly & helpful. I felt very comfortable hitting the road after a short tutorial on how to operate the bike & a few laps around the parking lot. The views were amazing throughout the entire tour, but my favorite was riding the bikes up Sullivan's Island beach. Our tour guide, Dylan, was the best- very knowledgeable about historical details & funny. We had the best time & would recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area. read more

Must do e-bike tour for Outer Banks show fans! My 15-year-old daughter and I came to SC specifically to see Netflix's Outer Banks show filming locations, and our tour guide Thomas more than delivered. If you are fortunate to have him, you will learn so much about this beautiful area, where he grew up. We saw so many other sites from the show while enjoying the beauty of this town, learning some history AND getting some exercise that was more fun than work.
