I won an Instagram contest which included a free new pair of shoes! I had never stopped in here before because I thought they had more gear for triathletes (which I'm not). I am a distance runner and have run multiple marathons, including the Boston Marathon. I stopped in and was really impressed with the store - everyone is super helpful and friendly and they offer some running gear that isn't always offered at a running store. I came back and bought another pair of shoes for distance running - I was so impressed! I also bought a pair of shorts - they are having a great sale right now! I was extremely disappointed with the service and communication at Blue Sky Endurance. I initially brought my bike in when no mechanic was available, so I was told someone would follow up with me. On August 10, a mechanic inspected the bike and quoted me the following: Rear derailleur: $35, plus $40 for installation New chain: $20, plus $20 for installation One bent spoke: $40 for repair and installation I was told the work would take approximately one week. However, I did not hear from Aiden, the manager, until August 18--more than a week later. At that point, he gave me an entirely different estimate of approximately $400 and suggested I might need to purchase a new bicycle. The lack of consistency between employees was concerning. The drastic increase in price, combined with the delayed communication, left me feeling as though I was being upsold rather than receiving a clear and reliable assessment. I declined the service, picked up my bike, and took it to Trek Bicycle in Mount Pleasant at Oakland Plantation. They had three mechanics working and immediately placed my bike on a stand to evaluate it. By the time I arrived home, they had sent me a professional work order, a courteous text update, and a total quote of $173.54. The mechanic also told me the bike would be completed by the end of the day. The difference in professionalism, communication, price, and turnaround time was remarkable. If you are looking for dependable service, fair pricing, and clear communication, I recommend exploring one of the other bicycle shops in North Mount Pleasant. read more

Hey I stumbled upon this high performance running, cycling, hiking store off of Coleman in Mt Pleasant, SC and it did not disappoint! I was looking for better than average waterproof shoes for my son. Most of the traditional brands are very heavy weight wise. This staff is very knowledgeable and was able to help us decide on the brand which are ON that are Swiss made! I recently had my bike stolen and I was in the market to find a replacement. I had previously stopped into blue sky endurance, spoken with Jon about bikes, accessories, and etc so I decide to stop back in recently to see if they had any options. He was fantastic, he went over the bike they had, looked up other bike options for me for them to potentially order and even said he would reach out to their bike rep for me to see if they had specific colors I wanted that weren't on the site. He reached out to me when one came in a few days later that I might be interested in and I loved it. He got everything setup on my new bike for me and went above and beyond. Blue Sky Endurance is a new triathlon store in Mt. Pleasant, and if you run, bike, or swim (or do all three!), you should check it out. I visited Blue Sky Endurance for a group run and guest speaker, and I was pretty impressed with the store. It is locally owned and operated by triathletes and runners, and all of the staff members are athletes and ready to help with your needs. They sell everything from running shoes and biking shoes to tri suits, singlets, and various fueling options for endurance athletes. I saw different brands of shoes here like ON, Pearl Izumi, Newton, and Skechers Performance, which are harder to find in other sporting goods stores. The store also has an indoor pool inside the store, which is perfect if you are buying a wetsuit, as you can test it out before you buy. There is also a swim coach who provides stroke analysis on certain days of the week and times (I don't swim so I'm not sure what they are). The store offers a free group ride and group run each week and caters to all abilities. It is a no-drop ride. Also, they have inspirational quotes up and strive to be an overall positive place toward all athletes, whether you are a first-timer or seasoned veteran. The location is great for the rides and runs because you're so close to the Old Village, Sullivan's Island, and IOP. Blue Sky Endurance is a great addition to the active community of Charleston. Blue Sky Endurance is the perfect place to find all of your tri- needs ... i am nowhere near a triathlon but needed new running shoes for the days that I wake up feeling like "today might be the day " ( haha) . Many times I'm intimated to walk in a place like this but they were as friendly as they were knowledgeable ... they have all the technology to insure a good fit and comfy run ( if there is such a thing ) ... they put me in some "neutral" test shoes , videotaped me running on their treadmill , analyzed the video and offered up several best options! I ended up with a great pair of TOPO shoes among other things .. now I'm feeling really motivated - so much so that on National Fried Chicken day I may go for grilled , wash it down with a sport energizer beverage , and try out those new shoes ! If you are in need of running shoes, extremely fashionable bike kits ( if you ride you'll know what that is ) , cycling shoes , running shoes and any related accessory literally "run" over to Coleman Blvd & check them out ... you will not be disappointed! read more

Having been out of running for nearly 15 years, I decided to start again. Much in the science of running has changed, so I decided to visit Blue Sky to help me out. Upon entering, I noticed the store is geared toward the serious athlete! However, both employees were very helpful in getting me started with some new kicks. After a round of brief questions, some trial shoes were picked out and I was on the treadmill for an evaluation. They filmed my run in slow motion and showed some areas for improvement in my form and were able to narrow down shoes that would be good for me. After a few visits to the treadmill with different shoes, I narrowed down my choice. I was also helped with some running apparel. While this store is geared towards the serious runner, they were more than happy to accommodate an amateur. Never did they push more expensive options, which is common in specialty store. I felt welcome the entire time and am thankful for their service! Blue Sky will be my stop for running equipment in the future. read more

Highly recommend Blue Sky Endurance! I needed a tune up for my bike, emailed them to understand the turn around time. Catherine got back to me that afternoon and set clear expectations on the turn around time for a tune up. I had asked for the Deluxe Tune Up and got a call from the technician that was working on my bike asking me why I preferred the Deluxe, rather than the Standard tune up. My bike is less than 6 months old and didn't need a lot of work. The technician had recommended that I get the Standard tune up because my bike didn't need it. And it was cheaper. I thought that was very admirable. The bike continues to work great and I'm very pleased with their service. read more

Was visiting from out of town and needed some swim equipment for an upcoming race. The staff here is extremely friendly and hyper-knowledgable about running, biking, swimming, and more. I didn't have a chance to try the "pool mill", which is like a treadmill where they provide stroke analysis, but it looks awesome. Two big thumbs up! read more

My son was running his first triathlon on June 17th in Charleston and I had called Blue Sky about shipping his bike about two weeks before the race. After some discussion, I ended up renting a bike or the race from Blue Sky. We discussed the possibility of bringing the bike to and from the race as he would be flying in for the event and headed back on the 17th. They could not accommodate transporting the bike so we planned on picking it up the day before. A few days before the race, I called to confirm and again discuss the possibility of taking the bike after the race. They confirmed the reservation and that they could not bring the bike back. The day before the race, my son shows up to pick up the bike and they inform him that they DO NOT HAVE A BIKE FOR HIM. First triathlon flying in the day before and no bike. They noted that they had written down the 19th as opposed to the 17th. I never mentioned the 19th and they acknowledge that it was their mistake. After some aggravation they were able to arrange for a rental from Afford a Bike. While this was the least they could do, I do recognize they did something (hence one star) but the fact that we called multiple times and had lengthy discussions about the rental and then not have a bike for the race they are the sponsor leads me to believe that they are either incompetent or just don't give a hoot. Needless to say, we won't be visiting Blue Sky again. I don't know what else we could have done and they didn't seem all that troubled by the situation. If you are doing business with them, checking twice is obviously not enough. Be aware. read more
