Instead of being guided, I was met with punitive responses and a tone that felt condescending and, at times, outright disrespectful. The dynamic felt less like supervision and more like control. There continues to be resistance and lack of follow-through regarding my hours, with arbitrary distinctions being made such as dismissing valid observation and training, despite those being standard components of practicum learning. What's most concerning is the lack of accountability. Nancy from HR has not followed up after our meeting, and my attempts to escalate concerns to higher leadership have gone unanswered. That silence speaks volumes. This experience has continued to impact me even after leaving, which says a lot about how poorly it was handled. If you are a student, protect yourself, get everything in writing and be cautious. What should have been a supportive clinical training environment instead felt controlling, inconsistent, and unnecessarily stressful due to poor leadership and lack of integrity in follow-through, even my program took my side in the behavior I experienced reflected poor supervision practices, lack of accountability, and a concerning disregard for the role of a clinical training environment.
