There are picnic tables under the gazebo connected to the restrooms. There is a children's play area and the path also runs alongside a property that has beautiful horses. The path is connected to several local communities....lucky them! Definitely a park that you can come exercise or come do some reading, relaxing or even "Work from home"! One note: there's a lady with a neck fan who dominates the small-dog portion of the dog park. And she is there ever. Single. Day. She acts like she runs the place and she has a mean little dog who terrorizes most pups who try to enter. She will lazily call, "oh, he jut wants to play!" As her horrible dog tries to menace your pets, then rolls her eyes and eventually strolls over when the horrid thing gets actively violent. I think she likes having the park to herself, and she gets there super early, so everyone else just sort of avoids her spot. The good news is that she's usually gone by 10 or 11 AM, but she's a menace.

True to its name, it runs parallel to Salem Creek. I have no idea what the previous two reviews are about. Appears to be for some store but all of the pictures are of the Salem Creek Greenway. I think the other reviewers are freaking confused. This is a decent paved trail for walking or biking. If you are walking, keep in mind that someone on a bike can run up on you pretty quick so stay to the right. Dogs are welcome and it is a great trail for walking your dogs. The trail runs past a few parks including Washington park. You can also catch the Strollway to Old Salem and downtown if you wish. They have done a lot of improvements in 2017 on parts of the Greenway which has made it a lot nicer.

It has kids play area, for adults there is a big field for sports and courts for pickle ball and tennis. Across the street are short trails that run by a creek and goes about a mile. The trail goes straight with a few ways to branch off. There is a short bridge that goes over the creek and ends near the Silas Creek area. Along that trail is an open field and a small stand of bamboo trees to seek a little shade. The main trail ends at a busy road and there is another trail on the other side of this road. If you get tired there are a few benches scattered in different parts of the trail for resting, reading or enjoying the surroundings. The benches have plaques dedicated to family loved ones but my fave is the bench plaque that simply says "Pay it Forward"..... Food for thought while sitting there.

There are a few child care places that will swing by and flood the play areas, but you can pretty much play in the water area by yourself for a good hour or so.
