Then, at 6:30 pm, you have four lanes devoted for lap swimming, however, two of these lanes are issued to a high school team which is supervised by a coach. So the truth is that from 6:30 pm to 8pm you offer 2 lanes for city lap swimming; unfortunately, that's not all. I spoke with David this evening who identified himself as the supervisor for the pool area; he is a respectful and a friendly young man. I explained to him that in the two lanes offered for lap swimming there are people doing calisthenics and jogging today but last week there were snorkeling. He explained, he meant to have his lifeguards enforce lap swimming but he has not done it yet. So in fact the Los Altos Pool offers the citizens of Albuquerque one lane of lap swimming on Friday from 6:30pm to 8 pm. I hope they update the description of what is actually happening so adults driving here are not surprised every week.

I live close by in the North Valley and my dog and I walk down here at least twice a week, make the loop and walk back up the Albuquerque Drain Trail home. What a great facility. It's the terminus of the "jewel in the crown" ABQ Open Space Bike trail, has an excellent parking lot and you can walk or bike from here in four directions on trails that take you all over the Alameda and Corrales Rio Grande Open Space. the trees, the plants, the two ponds and the trails are excellent. My dog, Sophie, also gives it a five-star rating as well. I last week photographed fruit blossoms there and have photographed birds as well. Love it here!

In my experience, it's been a great spot for enjoy enjoying the beautiful weather and taking a brisk walk with friends. I do recommend being cautious about your surroundings and staying in the more populated areas as I've done a few volunteer cleanups in the area and as you get into the brush, you never know what you'll find. The views of the mountains are absolutely gorgeous and the wildlife are very entertaining to watch.

We didn't make it to the 3rd one. The catch ponds are supposed to be stocked. Can't say for sure because we weren't fishing today. Just a nice leisurely puppy walk along the trail. Adults can enjoy the activities too, but this space is designed for kids of all ages. During peak weekend hours, letting children take the lead makes the experience better for everyone. Only took one star because I wish there was more staff interaction- for times with children are not always kind & parents who are not paying attention. It's not ok for a stranger to get involved, so it would be nice if staff monitored just a little more. Still wondering if this is a museum dig or community parenting issue. We had a lot of fun doing the "Escape the 80's" themed room. We visited right after Christmas, so…read moremy daughter was excited to do this room as it was right in the middle of the last season of Stanger Things which she loves & since it is set in the 80's it worked out perfectly. All of the puzzles they had set up worked well with the theme of the room, some of the puzzles were obviously easier than others but they all were exciting to complete. There were six of us in total & there were enough puzzles for all of us to be able to work on something whether it was alone or with a partner to escape the room faster. We think they did a great job with decorating the room to feel like it was straight out of the 80's, we had two party members who were teens in the 80's, two who were born in 89/91 and two in the 2000's so it was a great experience for the different ages. If we were to visit Albuquerque again, we would visit again to do one of their other rooms.

This room was rated at a 7/10 difficulty, but we both like zombies, so we gave it a shot. The staff was friendly when we checked in, gave us a quick run-down of the process and what to expect, and we got to solving. We got stuck a couple of times and were able to easily get a hint, and then after we ran out of time, they showed us a big surprise we were almost able to solve. I am sure there are a lot of escape room options, but I recommend this one for sure. The next time I am in town, I will try out another one of their rooms.
