Called Richard's RV Repair service, he came to our site and inspected the situation. We had a busted brake spring. It had just happened so no damage to the trailer. But Richard was very detailed with the inspection and offered to repair the broken spring or do a complete replacement of the brake. We had him do a replacement and he wanted to inspect the other brake on the remaining tire for a precaution. Richard was very professional and knowledgeable about our problem. We had an issue with our Thor RV power awning repeatedly blowing fuses. I've had it to the dealer 3…read moretimes to get troubleshot and fixed; every time the issue came back. The latest time was at San Clemente, after we had fully extended the awning, which left me with the option of getting up on a ladder and manually retracting it. I noticed Scout RV's (Tyler) truck at our campground, and called to see if he could come take a look. Tyler went through the troubleshooting steps, tested the motor, checked continuity, and finally after crawling around underneath found the wires to the awning laying on top of the driveshaft, where they had chafed through and shorted (!) Three trips to the dealer, never fixed, once they even ran our generator for forty hours and burned 3/4 of a tank of our gas but never really fixed our awning. I was more than happy to pay Tyler's hourly rate to finally, properly troubleshoot the problem...he's a good guy. Professional, efficient, and trustworthy. He'll be our go-to from now on!

We called Larry's RV service and left a message. Larry got back to us pretty quickly. I described our problem and over the phone Larry walked me through what to look for and sure enough it was what he thought...fins frozen...an hour or so of defrost and it was good as new. This does not seem like a big deal...but so many businesses would have sent a person out and charged you for a service call just to tell you the same thing. Unfortunately my elder mom and dad are getting the same run around from the Service Department. As…read moreothers have stated on Yelp and Google, the sell went fine and they were offered that ANYTHING goes wrong under warranty they promised to put a person on the repairs right away. Well that is not the experience she got when she called to make an appointment to drop in for repairs to the door, the water tank, toilet, floor, etc. They happen to be in that part of the country on a certain date and they live in the unit. The promise to drop everything to fix the trailer was a lie and they knew that when they sold it. I wish she would have looked at these Yelp reviews BEFORE buying from these people. When she called in to get help with the broken things believed to be under warranty they got the ole dog and pony show and what seemed like pushback and delays. They wanted to make an appointment that is not convenient to their schedule, they want them to leave with them for some weeks, blah blah blah, etc., etc., etc., Just like the other reviews. So, instead of getting things fixed there at the dealer and under warranty, they are just gonna eat the cost of fixing these things themselves. Which I am sure is what they are wanting. Look elsewhere folks. Dont even try this place.

He drove all over, took apart the hub, figured out what parts we needed, drove all over to get them, got us fixed enough to get into town and unload. I had been stranded in Deming, NM for 4 weeks trying to find an air spring for a 38 foot diesel RV…read more Firestone kept pull shipping dates out of the air, until they finally admitted the spring is not even in production, and they don't know when they will make it again...what the FLUFF?! I called Johnny Barnes Co to see if they would come to Deming from Las Cruces, and, if they could work on an RV chassis. Mike (Johnny's brother) assured me he could-he showed up with a full work truck, tool boxes, air compressor, jacks rated for loads bigger than my RV and a 'can do' attitude. The springs the engineers at Reyco-Granning said would work didn't fit. Mike took the blown air bag with him to El Paso the next day and managed to source an almost EXACT fit at Wofford. He then drove back to the state park I was at and installed it in about an hour & half. He had to re-seat the leveling jack foot pad that got knocked off, but he completed that in about 15 minutes of muscling it onl. He arrived both days, focused on the task at hand, unlike the first mechanic in Deming I called that showed up with a pickup with some tools, no way to lift the RV, and kept calling his girl friend to bring him more stuff from home. This company works on the suspension and engines, lighting systems of commercial trucks at the roadside, quickly, to get you going again. Their rates for trip charge and labor were reasonable and he gave me the invoice for the air bag he purchased. I bought a second airbag to replace the other side later. To recap: call these guys for anything related to the drive train, engine, suspension, etc.. If you need RV 'house' things repaired, go to Jimmie's in Deming

We needed quick repairs and other diesel repair shops had longer waiting list. This diesel repair shop not only fixed everything to my husbands satisfaction, who happens to be an auto-mechanic but didn't have the tools to fix everything on our list.
