The crew: Did not speak or understand English...apparently. I asked them to close the gate to the…read moredogs yard several times; they didn't and I had to chase down loose dogs. I asked them to avoid my flower gardens with the roof debris; they destroyed them and their fences (rabbit guard fencing). They piled debris in front of both back and front doors and 'locked' me in my home until I could push enough out of the way (20 minutes [lucky they didn't start a fire]). They removed a piece of SS siding from the side of the house and an 18' piece of flashing; they weren't replaced or refunded. They failed to properly seal the shingles causing leaks that have damaged ceilings, walls and floors. Prior to replacing a piece of plywood, they swept about 10 pounds of loose asphalt onto the brand new wood panel ceiling causing it to separate and sag. When it cracked, a friend helped me pull it down and all the asphalt came down on us; at first I thought it was black mold. I opted for ridge venting. What a hack job...literally. They used hatchets to cut the plywood and left the storage attic full of splintered wood. The (allegedly capped) gutter crew was rude and failed to resolve the issue with rushing water coming down over the back door. Their first answer was a 4"x18" piece of metal. Yeah, the door is 32". I said they needed a wider gutter and a longer piece of metal. They refused to put up a wider gutter but added a foot of metal. That gutter has bowed, center up, and the piece of metal has been ineffective at blocking rainwater or ice melt. I say allegedly capped gutters as I'm afraid of going above two rungs (several falls) on a ladder and can't see. I brush the gutters off but still can't tell. We've had so few hard rains and very little snow from install (May '22) until January 2025 so I didn't realize the issue. When that snow melted it created an 'ice bridge' that caused leakage under the unsealed shingles. I called for repairs; I never received a reply. It happened again in early December 2025; I had to set up buckets. I called; no reply. The management: The estimator, Doug, came out in March. I had daffodils and tulips blooming. I had the lilies fenced off with rabbit guard fence. There are/were yews along the front of the house with hostas in front of them. Doug did not note them as he was supposed to. By the time they did the roof, lilies, hostas, gladiolas and daylilies were emerging. They were damaged for the season and some permanently. Jeff was the 'project manager'. Very glassy-eyed. Denied everything and then wouldn't answer my calls. In summary: I checked their reviews and they were decent; I felt OK using them. They were unprofessional, did shoddy work, failed to replace removed pieces of the house, damaged property, placed my dogs in harms way and failed to take responsibility.

While we were looking at other businesses, we greatly appreciated Colton's knowledge. We also wanted to support a local business, and we were impressed that they did their own work rather than hire contractors. In the end, we decided to go with Crown Exteriors. We asked about the timeline, and we were told that once they measured and placed the window order, we would have windows by mid-May at the latest. We received a text letting us know that the windows showed up May 2nd, and Colton told us that they'd schedule us after their carpenter caught up on a few things. After that, any communication was initiated by me. I reached out on 5/22/24, 1/19/24, and 8/5/24. Colton responded each time, but it was unnerving to have to reach out so often because we weren't given any updates. Finally, at the end of August 2024, I received a call from Colton asking if we wanted the windows installed the next day (8/29). Because we'd waited so long, we agreed. The next day, contractors showed up, which upset us because we had hoped to have someone on staff do the installation. The install went as smoothly as it could go, and it took about three days. However, two days after the windows were installed we noticed some issues. First, they installed our doors the wrong way, flipping the handle from the right to the left side of the door. Thats minor, but we were confused as to why they'd make the change. Next, the sliding glass doors accumulated water at the bottom. Outside water accumulation makes sense, but there shouldn't have been water on the inside. Lastly, a couple windows wouldn't open, and we couldn't figure out why. We contacted Colton, and he said he'd need to circle back to the contractors to look at it. This response was given on September 9th. Since then, we've called Colton (who let us know he didn't work there anymore and gave us the owner's contact information), the owner, and the business number on the website. We've left messages as well. We have yet to be contacted. The install was approximately $20,000, and we are not a super well-off family, so we really counted on this to be done well. And yet, we've been ignored and left with broken windows. I didn't want to leave this review because I'd hoped to work it out with them, but I'm hoping that they might be more willing to talk to us with this review posted.

A 2 day install turned into 2 weeks with lots of no shows from the installer and an extra $1,400 in cash given to him for things he claimed were extra. Getting ahold of the owner was not easy but once we did get ahold of him, he did apologize and seemed like he was going to make sure everything was made right. He took $700 off our final bill. Once the installer was done, we had to call to ask about getting all the cabinets adjusted aka straight. They did come out and do that. After about a week, we noticed the pull out trash can was hitting the pantry door next to it. Luther sent a guy out to "fix" it. The "fix" worked for another couple weeks until it gave and started hitting again. Then it l came off the track. We obviously haven't been able to use it since (so after just a few weeks). You can see in the picture below that it's crooked. Getting ahold of them was extremely difficult but when we did, Luther told us it sounded like a spacer wasn't installed between the two. We kept hearing they would get back to us. Eventually they stopped answering our calls. Before the holidays, months after the issue and not being able to use the trash can, my husband got the idea to call from his work phone. They of course answered, not knowing it was him and told him they were looking into a solution. Again, we were ghosted for months. My husband stopped in last week to give them another chance to make this right and Luther Falls was far from professional and wanted nothing to do with working towards a solution. He called my husband awful names and told him to "F our cabinets," while walking away from him to avoid a conversation. I then made a Facebook post to let all my friends and family know about our situation and the terrible treatment we had received. Luther commented saying we were liars and that we broke it and didn't notify them until 6 months later. Obviously that is not the case. We are honest, hard working people who tried to give a company chance after chance to make it right. We never dreamed that we would be treated this way. We've remodeled 3 homes now and never had any issues with anyone we've worked with! Also, we aren't 100% sure our bottom cabinets are even the color we ordered. We picked charcoal grey and our receipt says that but these are navy blue. We never even had the chance to bring this up to the company because it's been the least of our worries.

Home repairs can be exceptionally frustrating. Contractors never show up on time and/or do shoddy…read morework. About 20 years ago we discovered Jackson Quality Construction located about two miles from our home. We started with a small project of removing wooden paneling in our basement so the floor could be waterproofed. Since then Jackson has done several projects around our house always when promised and always perfect. They built a new deck for us last year that visually looked much better than our old one and is very solid. More recently they patched a roof leak that the roofer could not seem to correct even after two visits and a few hundred dollars. Their crew also is genuinely friendly. What we appreciate most is that they will keep at it until we are completely satisfied. There's no just walking away after we pay. However, be prepared that Jackson is quite expensive. Be prepared to pay top dollar. We think it's worth the expense to get it done right without stress and worry. Many of our neighbors have used Jackson and have been highly satisfied. In fact, that's how we learned about them.

First of they charge $140 per hour for service calls…read more Second when a unit that they install breaks and is covered by warranty, they still charge you $140 per hour to the fix unit. Yea great you don't charge me for the part but most other company's charge around $60 to $70 per hour and if part is under warranty they charge the company that made the unit for their time.
