    Last spring, my husband and I brought our dryer to Bragg Used Appliance for a repair. It wasn't…read moregetting hot. So we loaded it and dropped it off. After more than 6 weeks, and nothing but excuses and poor customer service, and after we threatened to simply pick up them up, they called and said they were done. I picked up myself because I knew delivery would be a nightmare. We then PCS'd to Fort Riley. My husband then left for training and was gone for 4 months. While he was gone, I noticed the dryer was making absolutely no lint. NONE. Then, I noticed that it had a bad burning smell. At that point, I quit using the dryer and took my clothes to the laundromat. With 3 kids. My husband got back and my honey do list was figure out what the hell is up with our dryer. So he just took it apart, and I'm FUMING MAD because the "technicians" who "repaired" my dryer FAILED TO PUT THE DRYER VENT DUCT LEADING FROM THE DRYER TO THE EXHAUST HOSE BACK IN PLACE. Seriously! There was singed and charred lint all over the inside of the dryer. THIS COMPANY IS A RIPOFF. we called and they could care less. We aren't even in the area. I've contacted Better Business Bureau so we will see. Do they even CARE that they are putting MILITARY FAMILIES in DANGER? THOUSANDS OF HOUSE FIRES ARE CAUSED EACH YEAR BY CLOGGED DRYER VENTS. My husband has served 22 years in the military, we've been stationed at 8 places, and NEVER have we experienced such shoddy customer service and downright fleecing as we have by this company. Bragg Used Appliance should be on the BLACKLIST. It will take them starting a house fire and killing a family for that to happen, but BUYER BEWARE. You get what you pay for. The outside might look shiny and nice, but if the insides are junk, you may not just be out the couple of hundred dollars. You are putting your family at risk!

    This was a great experience and we now keep their business card on the fridge for future reference…read more Shortly after moving into our new home, our gas oven was filling the kitchen with gas, which prompted our neighborhood to then fill with emergency vehicles - quite a way to meet the neighbors. We feared that we would need to replace a $2500 appliance. I stopped by Moore Appliance to see if this is something they could take a look at. They set me up with an appointment for the next day "between 12 and 5." The technician called at 12:00 to let us know he was on the way, and he arrived about 10 minutes later. He immediately determined the previous occupants used oven cleaner, which clogged the burner and the gas intake. He explained you should not use oven cleaner on a gas over for this reason. He cleaned it out, tested the oven several times, and answered all of our questions. Super helpful, very professional, and much cheaper and easier than replacing the oven.

    I decided to purchase a cook top from Major Appliance, because I wanted to support a local business…read moreand because they claim to provide superior customer service compared to the big box stores. Another reason I went with them was because they also say they provide repair work for the products that they sell. I went to their store on the 15th of May and talked with one of the salesmen who showed me several cook tops that met my needs. He printed out some pages for me to take home and show my wife after she got home from work that evening. They had showroom hours posted on their door stating they were open on Saturday so the plan was for me to consult my wife that Friday evening and return to make the purchase on Saturday. I returned on Saturday only to find a paper note posted on the door stating they were only open for appointments so my Saturday morning was wasted. I returned on Monday morning and when I inquired about what had happened on Saturday I was told one of the salesmen had taken ill and the other didn't want to open by themselves. I made my purchase and was told my item was in stock and would be delivered to the store later that week. Come Friday I hadn't heard a word from them and it was now the Memorial Day weekend. I waited and still hadn't heard a word from Major Appliance and I finally got fed up waiting so called them the beginning of June. I was given some crazy excuse that the drivers who deliver their appliances to the store wouldn't deliver a lone item due to the increase in gas prices. They promised to have my cook top to me on the 5th of June and was told it would be in the early afternoon. This was in fact what happened as the installers showed up on time and proceeded to attempt installing my item. I say attempted because the cook top didn't fit my opening. I was told I would have to pay an additional $300 out of my own pocket for their counter man to come out and make the necessary adjustments. A whole week went and I heard zero from Major Appliance, which required me to call them. I finally had the counterman show up and he did a great job making the necessary adjustments and got my cook top into place. This whole process took just shy of one whole month. AVOID MAJOR APPLIANCE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
