Last spring, my husband and I brought our dryer to Bragg Used Appliance for a repair. It wasn't getting hot. So we loaded it and dropped it off. After more than 6 weeks, and nothing but excuses and poor customer service, and after we threatened to simply pick up them up, they called and said they were done. I picked up myself because I knew delivery would be a nightmare. We then PCS'd to Fort Riley. My husband then left for training and was gone for 4 months. While he was gone, I noticed the dryer was making absolutely no lint. NONE. Then, I noticed that it had a bad burning smell. At that point, I quit using the dryer and took my clothes to the laundromat. With 3 kids. My husband got back and my honey do list was figure out what the hell is up with our dryer. So he just took it apart, and I'm FUMING MAD because the "technicians" who "repaired" my dryer FAILED TO PUT THE DRYER VENT DUCT LEADING FROM THE DRYER TO THE EXHAUST HOSE BACK IN PLACE. Seriously! There was singed and charred lint all over the inside of the dryer. THIS COMPANY IS A RIPOFF. we called and they could care less. We aren't even in the area. I've contacted Better Business Bureau so we will see. Do they even CARE that they are putting MILITARY FAMILIES in DANGER? THOUSANDS OF HOUSE FIRES ARE CAUSED EACH YEAR BY CLOGGED DRYER VENTS. I bought a used washer and dryer only to find out the washer was already broken. The washer spilled approximately 15 gallons of water on my floor before I was able to shut it off. Apparently the store doesn't even test its used appliances (to make sure they work correctly) before selling them to people. I then attempted to get the washer fixed using the store's warranty. The first technician came out and identified the bad part, but didn't bother to bring any replacement parts with him. The store was then supposed to send a technician out the following day with the correct part. I called the store several times on the second day to ensure the technician was still coming and each time I was reassured and told that the technician was simply running late but on his way. The technician never showed up... The washer still has yet to be fixed. read more

Bottom line up front: find another place to find affordable appliances! Purchased our used washer/dryer set on 28 Jul 15. Appliances were not in great condition by any stretch of the imagination but my husband and I were optimistic that they were name brand and we got the 1 year warranty. The appliances were delivered the next day and all was well with the world. Two weeks later the dryer stops working. Requested a service man to come look at the dryer. Our e-mail went unanswered and our request was lost a couple of times, but my husband stayed on top of them via phone calls and we got a guy to confirm the motor was blown out and we needed a new dryer. We needed to follow-up on the replacement dryer over the course of the next week. Our request was again lost a couple of times, but with a lot of persistence on my husband's part, a couple delivery guys got our old broken dryer out and a "new" dryer in. This dryer was in even worse shape than the first, but it started, so I was happy. Later that day came to realize that this dryer actually doesn't dry...aka this dryer is also broken. And this then has begun the most time consuming frustrating exchange with Bragg Used Appliance. Our request has been lost time and time again. Over the past two weeks, I have had employees tell me "It is on the truck" and "It will be there by 7:00" FIVE TIMES! Five times I have taken off of work early to meet the delivery guys at my house, and every time the person I contact at the store thinks I am the crazy one because I want a REAL assurance that my delivery will ACTUALLY be arriving as promised. Tonight, the employee told me, "No, it is really on the truck this time, the other four times it wasn't really on the truck." Much to my dismay, there is still no delivery tonight. My husband and I are just baffled a company can operate like this. Kind of feels like a weird game we are caught up in: where customer service is obsolete, a business's reputation is nothing worth preserving, and quality products are just a thing of the past. As an "Iraq War Veteran Family Business" I cannot believe this is the predicament we are facing 1.5 months after our initial purchase. My hopes: someone in management at Bragg Used Appliance sees this and addresses this concern so I can get my appliances fixes as promised in our initial contract. I wish I had checked Yelp before spending money with this business. Our dryer crapped out on us and in a desperate need for a new one fast, we went to this business the same day. The couple who helped us (that I assume were the owners) seemed pretty friendly. The male even offered to have our dryer delivered the next day (12/10/15) before noon free of charge. I have called three times throughout the day asking for an update on when I can expect my dryer. I have basically been blown off the entire day by being told "it should be there soon". As I submit this (it's now 6:15pm) I am still waiting on my delivery. I just hope it shows up in better working condition than some of the others in the reviews I've read on here. Edit (12/28/15): After going to the store on 12/11/15 to demand my dryer be delivered, all was well- or at least I thought. A week later I noticed that the dryer was not producing lint and that I had to start the cycle 2-3 times to completely dry one load of laundry. I called at noon on 12/23/15 to request a technician come out. I was told by the woman that runs the front desk that the technician would arrive that same day to fix it. No one called or showed up. I called back the same evening to request a technician arrive between 3-5pm on 12/26/15. I get a call around 3pm on 12/24/15 from a technician letting me know he was on the way to my home. I was not even in town, hence the request for a specific date. He apologized for the confusion and assured me that someone would be at my house on 12/26/15. Fast forward to 12/26 and no one called or showed up. I placed a call this morning to the store asking when I can expect a technician. Someone finally showed up around 11am to repair it. He cleaned out the lint trap and said it was all set. I told him about the issues of having to cycle through multiple times per load so he "checked" the heating element, says everything was in perfect order, and closed the machine back. Not 20 minutes after he leaves my house I notice that the dryer ISN'T PRODUCING ANY HEAT. So now I am sitting here waiting for someone to come to my house to fix the dryer. Again. On another note, the customer service at this place is beyond ridiculous! The woman who runs the front desk makes it seem that SHE is the one being inconvenienced every time I have to call. I have explained how my days are being wasted while I sit home waiting on someone to not call and not show up. I am so fed up with dealing with this business. Being a sales director and consider myself an expert on customer service- trust me when I say steer CLEAR of this place. We purchased a washer/dryer set when we first moved to Bragg and were happy with the 1 year 'warranty'. Our dryer has broken now twice. The first time we called for service it took 3 times of them 'scheduling' and is calling and complaining before they finally showed up to service the dryer. Not even a month later, it is broken again and we have called to schedule FOUR TIMES and none of the times have the showed up. My husband has had to take off work to be here when I am away for work and I have had to cancel calls, move my schedule around only for them not to show up multiple times. We called, obviously pissed, when we found a card in it door a day after they were to be here for our appointment (we were out of town when they came by a day LATE) and the woman answering the phone was incredibly rude and told my husband to 'restrain himself' We are so done and will go to a reputable vendor and get a unit with a REAL warranty that has competent service professionals that don't feel they are in the 'right' for their terrible service. I don't even know how this place is still in business. I purchased a washer and dryer from Bragg Used Appliance on October 6th. It is now November 30th and I still do not have a working washer in my home. It took TWO WEEKS and a half dozen phone calls just to get the initial delivery. Neither the washer nor the dryer worked when they were delivered. It took ANOTHER TWO WEEKS and ANOTHER SIX calls to get the technicians to come and "fix" the appliances, which were still inoperable after they left. It took two more weeks to get the technician out again to fix the dryer. It is now SEVEN WEEKS after the purchase, and we still do not have a working washer and we have been blown off 3 times within a week regarding a new washer being delivered. The saying "you get what you pay for" has never been more applicable. If you can afford better products and services from any other seller, do so. read more

WORST customer service and appliances ever! I bought a washer and dryer a month ago before I moved in. Once the time came for me to move in I verified a time for delivery and they said that was fine. I took off work and waited and waited and they never showed. I called them the next day and no one was answering their phone so I had to go all the way down there and see what was going on. They said okay we will for sure get it to you today by 12:30 pm. I went home and waited again, they didn't show until 4 pm. I did a load of laundry and the dryer didn't work it wasn't producing heat. I had to end up getting another dryer which went out as well! I now have three wet loads of laundry, no clean bed sheets or work clothes. I have not been able to go laundry for a good three weeks now thanks to these people. The second dryer leaked all over my laundry room and just shut off. They then told me to come pick out another dryer (this is the third one) and when I went there and told them I was on my way, they closed and even before closing time. I'm done and will be getting my money back please take my word for it and do not go through what I've been through it's stressful and not worth it! ***Update*** still nothing is solved and I purchased my washer and dryer 11/4/16 it is now 1/4/17. Bought a washer and dryer set on 26 Aug. When they were delivered the men were very respectful and sweet, as was the staff at the store, but our walls were marked and banged up during installation. Yes, the laundry room was upstairs and it was a brand new house so we had touch up paint on hand but the way our washer was place showed laziness on their part. It's not completely in place so it wiggles when it washes so my husband and I need to place it correctly and the washer had a defect with it which we were told, a tech would come out to fix it, and he never did. If you want appliances that will hold you over until you can afford better ones then this is a decent place but if you have the money then invest in an appliance that will last more than 2 years AND better movers and installers. read more

Hmmm where to start. First we just moved to Fayetteville and needed a washer and dryer, found this place with decent reviews and went and made a purchase, washer and dryer, 1 yr warranty, guaranteed that they would work. Now the horror story with this company. I hook the washer up and the drum doesn't turn. Not very knowledgable with washers but sounded like the motor was bad. I Called 3 times before they picked up the phone(around 11am). After a conversation with them they decided to have a tech come out as soon as possible. Day 2 I still had not received a call for the tech to come look at it, called again, and was told they'd be out soon(again around 11am) 3pm rolls around and still no call. So I called again, this time I'm told that they might get here today to look at it. Decided to wait til the next morning. Day 3, I call again around 11am, they've lost the paper work for my work order so they have to write up another one and I should hear back in a few hours from them as to when someone will come by. 3 pm I call again and he says the manager will call me back in a few minutes to let me know if they'll make it out today or not. At 6 pm I drive over to their building to discuss how this was going to be remedied. I talk to a tech and they tell me to just pick out a new washer and they would bring it out first this the next day. 11am the next day still no washer, call 4 times before there's an answer(fairly typical but still annoying). I'm told that the refrigerators went out first and that washers would happen later on, but they couldn't tell me a time. 1245 still no washer. I have now been calling for 30 minutes and no answer. WOUOD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY REASON. For the price we paid for these and the 4 day headache they've now caused I could've purchased new for only a few hundred more and wouldn't be dealing with this mess. This is honestly one of the worst places to buy any used appliances. I had a washer and dryer from them but the washing machine was no good so when I called them to ask them is there any way that they can fix it or if I can switch out a new one they told me that they would send somebody out to take a look at it. Nobody ever came out. And when I called them back to see if somebody was coming to pick up the broken washing machine they kept reassuring me that somebody will, but nobody ever did. It took about 2 weeks until I finally said, "you know what I can do it myself." I had to rent out of truck and hand-deliver the washing machine to them myself. And the so-called new washing machine that they had to switch it out for didn't even work either. It would wash all my clothes but that final rinse cycle it would not spin, so all my clothes came out soaking wet. So my recommendation to any and everybody is that if you need a washer and dryer I suggest you go out and buy yourself a brand new one and avoid these people at all cost. Probably the worst experience to be had for the delivery of appliances. Purchased A stove and refrigerator at the Hope Mills location On December 29, 2015 for delivery on December 30 to new tenants. The appliances were not delivered . Numerous calls were made To the each of the stores to find out what was going on. Promises made but didn't materialize Until Saturday after Christmas . On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, I scheduled to have a refrigerator, in a rental property, repaired. I was called on the next and told that it could not be repaired. On Wednesday, August 20th, I spoke with the manager, Arlene, and I purchased a refrigerator over the phone. Arlene was horribly rude, throughout the conversation. Since I live out of state and I was purchasing the unseen appliance via telephone, I asked questions about it. Arlene seemed agitated, condescending and disgruntled. She actually treated me as though I was wasting her time. Arlene stated that the refrigerator would be delivered within 48 hours, which would have been Friday. August 22. I did not have a good feeling about how I was being rushed and negatively treated by Arlene. She was very argumentative. For instance, after I gave her my mailing address, I asked her to call it back to me, for confirmation. She called out "9225......" I said, " No, it is 9925" She raised her voice and said, "That's what I said!" At that point, I felt that I had made a terrible mistake by selecting this business. Monday morning, August 25th, I received a phone call from my tenant stating that the refrigerator still had not been delivered. I called the store and Arlene stated that last Wednesday, she forgot to tag the item for delivery. Her demeanor was still rude and non-remorseful. At that time, I informed her that I still had not received my receipt by mail or email that she agreed to send to me. I asked for the name of the owner. She reluctantly said that the owner was Carmen. When asked if I could speak to her, I was told by Arlene that she was not available. I then asked if she could ask the manager to call me. Thursday, August 28th, I called back to say that I still did not receive a receipt. Arlene said that she would not be sending a receipt, but the owner Carmen Palacios would be mailing the receipt. Friday, August 29, 2014, the tenant called to say that the refrigerator was leaking water onto the floor and did not have a drain pan, nor was their a metal grate to cover up the bottom front, revealing the motor, etc. Although, I dreaded calling back, I knew that I had to. Arlene answered the phone and did what she had done several times, previously....left me on hold for long periods of time. She put Marcell on the phone and I explained the situation to him. He said that the technicians were already out for the day and he wasn't sure when someone could get out there. At that point, I knew that I could not make myself sick by worrying. I hope that the owners, Merlon Lorenzo Palacios and Carmen Palacios will read this review or hear about it. I can not see how a business like this can stay in operation. Customer service should be of utmost importance to the owners and employees. Not only was the customer service deplorable, but the delivery was 4 days late, I have still not received my receipt or a return phone call from the owner. I will rank this disappointing experience at the top of anything that I have experienced. I own several properties in Fayetteville, but I will never ever do business with Bragg Used Appliances...Horrible can not come close to describing my experience. read more

After my original review, I was contacted by a manager and my issue was resolved. It turns out it was an improper installation was the cause of my equipment issues after all. After it was taken care of though, the very next day, another maintenance employee came to fix the exact issue that was already taken care of; so while I was happy that this time my issue was being taken care of with concern... it's clear this company has some lack of communication all around. The unit did stop working ( the dryer ) it stopped tumbling for maybe an hour? So I called and they came next day to fix it. They were prompt and in a good mood and very respectful.
