    Salted-Caramel Malt Shake
    Summer B.

A friend recommended that we go here with him, my boyfriend was very unsure about the place as it looks small from the outside and looked busy at the time. I got the Cheeseburger with a side of fries and a salted-caramel malt shake. So good!! They had doughnuts displayed on the counter that looked scrumptious and we couldn't resist so we asked for 2 to take home. I also got a slice of coconut cream pie for desert. I've never had coconut cream pie before so I'd have to say it was pretty good for my first time. The table service I'd have to say was satisfactory.

From high end steaks to everyday burgers and then my favorite..... breakfast served all day. It is very spacious, so it was easy to get a seat even on a busy Saturday morning. Complete with a cozy fireplace, it is clean, well appointed and has an inviting atmosphere. The sound levels can be a bit much, and since it's a family place, you will occasionally be dealing with a screeching/screaming child. But overall, a very nice dining experience. Coffee and water came quickly with a complimentary bread and muffin basket. I ordered a special style eggs benedict with a croissant and melted Swiss cheese under an herbal hollandaise sauce, (instead of an english muffin) and my husband ordered a wonderful homemade turkey barley soup and the hot turkey sandwich entree. The food was very very good. It is worth every minute of the forty minute drive from our house!

The menu means towards middle-American classics: turkey sandwiches, meatloaf, pork chops, etc. The twist? There's a maple-syrup theme snuck in wherever it can go. The glaze on the baby carrots, on the pork chops, on the chicken breast? Yes! Maple! The service is skilled and efficient, the people-watching unparalleled, and the portions are enormous for the listed price. Figure two meals for the listed price, and it seems a better deal! Limited wine and beer list; gift shop on premises for maple syrup and jams as souvenirs.

When you walk in there is a smokehouse feel, there is an outside patio in the front. The two servers looked a little busy but the place had only a few tables full. Do not expect Southern, Texas or Kansas Barbecue We ordered by phone and got a Togo order. I ordered the sampler with smoked turkey, Mac and cheese, and fries and the sides. Well they forgot the Mac and cheese for this... My wife got the beef and cheddar sandwich with Mac salad My daughter got the Mac and cheese bowl. The ribs were a little dry but had good flavor. Well noticed that the "brisket" seemed more like a pressed loaf and sliced fairly thin. The beef and cheddar seem to be the same meat as the "brisket". The smoked turkey also seemed like a pressed loaf and was dry. The Mac and cheese could have been a savior for the rest of the order. I say could have because I did have high hopes. It looked very delicious. They use more than one kind of noodle and it looked amazing. Now the flavor was lacking. Cheddar was the main cheese and that is about the only flavor it had. We didn't try any desserts. I will say the ones I saw on the counter looked very good. I will say for where it's at it is good food. I think my expectations might be set a little high when getting smoked food. I will have to try their pulled pork next time. I am usually hesitant to get pulled pork in PA/NY because they soak it in sauce before they give it to you 99% of the time. That seems just to cover the lack of flavor or the dryness of it. I do recommend everyone to try this place. I might give it another shot with lowered expectations.

Went here with a group this past weekend...Got the sample platter...After a 1 hour wait I received…read moresamples of how not to do bbq in every category. Dried out old shoe leather ribs, Brisket from last week with strange taste..The pull pork was the best thing had bones and sharp very dry, days old skin on it....Way over priced and very poor execution.. Can now understand why it was dead.
