    Salmon Scramble
    Alex V.

I used to come here at least twice a month for a period of time, haven't been back in almost 3 years. Well, only reason I ate here is because my uncle invited everyone for breakfast to celebrate my aunts birthday. Red Apple has so much potential to be what it used to be, perhaps someone else took over, the food sure tastes different than I remember and that is NOT a good thing, to see how empty it was considering a time when I would have to wait almost an hour for a table. It's a small hole in the wall diner located next to an auto row, it's got small table seating and outside with big windows with natural light. I ended up ordering the Salmon scramble with house potatoes, it was alright I've definitely had better elsewhere. Service was fantastic though, our waitress constantly asked if we needed anything and kept refilling my orange juice so thank you for that.

Decided to have brunch at this spot. We were seated right away, and our food came out fairly fast. I got their turkey sandwich which was okay. The bread was too dry for my liking. I absolutely love their country potatoes! There is a good amount of parking in the back, and everyone was super nice and helpful.

One of the places we stop for breakfast. Always have good and friendly service. We have never been there when it was very busy. It is a casual place and easy to have a conversation while there as not a loud place. Ordered the potato dish with ham, mushrooms and green onions topped with cheese and scrambled eggs. The potatoes are good sized pieces and the mushrooms are also good sized and plentiful the ham and green onions are smaller and get a little lost because of the other two ingredients. It does taste good and definitely plenty of the food. We have had the bacon in the past and it is good with a smoked flavor to it. Will be back again.

Such a friendly welcome. Every plate is fresh and so tasty. Healthy portions! A good amount of servers working , hence, great service! It's a great local friendly place. Highly recommend.

My favorite dish is their Cajun Fish Lunch. It's flavorful and absolutely delicious! Service is consistently exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is one of my favorite places in town for breakfast I've been coming here for many years, I understand with coke and many businesses had to close they lost money so the prices are going up although the food quality is going down a long with service before we would be greeted very friendly and then when sat down we had the server aproach us with hello how are you it's always nice to feel welcomed at any restaurant, the last couple Of visits we've came here and when walking in we get a stare down feeling like why are you here, then after being sat we had to wait awhile before anyone came to our table when the servers finally approached very abruptly saying are you ready .... Then no check up of we need anything we just got up to pay the tab, I loved this place but with these experiences frequently I am going to have to make another place my favorite:(

I can't recommend this place enough. Woke up craving pancakes and once I found out that indooor dining is back in full effect I made my way to the restaurant. This has been my favorite place for breakfast since I was a kid. The food here never disappoints their pancakes here are unmatched....if you know a place that serves better pancakes let me know so I can shut that foolishness down real quick...BAR NONE their pancakes are perfect. Very happy that indoor dining is back! Thank you Red Apple Cafe.

Breakfast is the theme, with decent service and no frills. Portions are large enough to split, unless of course you really are a huge eater.

Found hair in my eggs Benedict. Wait times very long. Pushy servers. Cold potatoes not cooked fully. Wish I could say better things.

The cooked product looked NOTHING like the package - there was a gray-ish brown ground something under a meager amount of veggies and brown rice. It was not good. Whatever was in this concoction was slightly bitter, drenched in soy sauce, and extraordinarily underwhelming. They need to increase the size of the word Vegan and give it more prominence. Had I know this was Vegan, I likely would not have bought it; having bought it, I ate it, but I will avoid this brand in the future. Here are the ingredients, which provided another surprise: "Cooked Brown Rice (Water, Brown Rice), Awesome Grounds (Water, Textured Pea Protein, Coconut Oil, Natural Flavors, Canola Oil, 2% or Less of Methylcellulose, Pea Flour, Distilled Vinegar, Dried Malted Barley Extract, Sea Salt, Corn Sauce [Cultured Corn Starch, Salt, Water], Thiamine Hydrochloride [Vitamin B1], Potassium Chloride), Water, Bok Choy, Purple Cabbage, Red Bell Peppers, Carrots, Tamari Soy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Alcohol), Brown Sugar, Rice Vinegar, 2% or Less of Garlic Puree, Sesame Oil, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Ginger Puree, Gochujang Hot Pepper Paste (Chili, Sugar, Miso [Water, Soybeans, Cultured Rice, Sea Salt], Salt, Sunflower Oil, Vinegar, Extractives of Paprika & Red Pepper), Corn Starch, Barley, Malted Barley, Spice Caramel Color, Soy Lecithin." What is most interesting is the inclusion of Methylcellulose, which is defined as a "bulk stool softener" and is the primary constituent of Citrucel.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived, the host seated us immediately (but had an attitude when I greeted her). The establishment is large, with plenty of booths and seating available. We were quickly greeted by a kind young man who took our drink orders and gave us a basket of complimentary bread with whipped butter and minced garlic!!! (As someone who LIVES for garlic, I would come back purely for this) What we ordered : Blueberry mule 8/10 - light, refreshing, but didn't really taste like blueberry Classic Margarita 10/10 - my boyfriend said it was one of the best margaritas he's ever had Sweet potato fries 10/10 - crispy, crunchy & great portion sizes!! Spicy spaghetti with chicken 10/10 - great flavor, evenly balanced Fettuccine Alfredo 9/10 - classic, well done Both pastas were served with a side of soup or salad. My boyfriend and I both picked the soup which was a delicious chicken minestrone. Pricing is reasonable, my bill came out of $116 excluding tip, but keep in mind the portion sizes are pretty big and dishes could easily be shared. What really stood out to me though was our server; a beautiful young woman named Katalina, she was an absolute GEM from start to finish!! With a warm welcoming smile she made my boyfriend and I feel so comfortable and really made our experience enjoyable!! She was extremely helpful, grabbing us whatever we needed and stayed attentive. When we come back, we will be requesting to have Katalina as our server & I recommend everyone else do the same!!

As soon as I walked in, I received a "hello!" "welcome!" and a happy, cheerful smile. Immediately, I felt so welcomed. As I was waiting for my food and my coffee, I heard them say hello to every single person that walked in. I was able to talk to the cashier and get some recommendations and ask her a bunch of questions. I decided to try the lavender vanilla latte, which is a seasonal drink. Wow! I am completely obsessed with the lavender vanilla latte. It was smooth, creamy, delicious, vibrant! I got a sandwich, and it was good, but not the best, so I may have to try a different food item. While I waited, I took a look around. They have gorgeous plants hanging, the decor, the atmosphere, everything about this place is just magnificent. People were sitting down, drinking and talking. One minor setback is the lack of bathrooms. Everyone was cheerful and joyous. Who cares about the sandwich, the coffee was incredibly amazing! I cannot stop thinking about the coffee, and the barista was welcoming every single person that walked in. I cannot stop raving about their coffee. I ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea, which is described on their website as: "Sweet strawberry and green tea with fresh milk makes the best sweet, creamy, and refreshing drink. Topped with strawberry popping boba." After waiting about 20 minutes for my drink, I was informed they were out of green tea and was offered mango tea as a substitute. While I appreciated being given an alternative, the final drink was nothing like what was advertised. It did not include the strawberry popping boba, and there was nothing creamy about it. The drink tasted bland, watered down, and lacked flavor. I was so disappointed with the drink that I didn't even want to try the banana bread I purchased. After a few sips, the entire purchase went straight into the trash. It's frustrating to spend money on something that doesn't come close to meeting expectations. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
