    Cowtown Kicker w/ tots
    Jamie J.

We found this place on our way home from long weekend trip. We decided to take a scenic route and drive until we got hungry. Well I am so very glad we got hungry when this was on our map b/c I'm already planning my next visit. The whole place just has a cool vibe. The decor definitely adds to the whole experience. There's so much to look at while you're waiting. It was a Tuesday afternoon after normal lunch hours so it wasn't very busy when we were there. Now to the part that really matters...the food!!! Hands down the burgers were some of the best I've had. I had the Cowtown Kicker with tots. The burger was cooked perfect and seasoned just right. I asked for the grilled jalapeños to be on the side. My sister had the big Hawaiian. I had to still a bite of hers too and it was equally as good with the Hawaiian sauce and grilled pineapple. Everything we had was great really. Can't wait to take a little road trip back to Baxter Springs to hang out here again.

Very delicious food cooked to order. Awesome French fries and a great cheese burger. The sweet tea is very tasty. Great customer service from the wait staff and a very cool environment of extra minutes to drive here from the highway.

Rode the scooter up here from Pawhuska to check it out. $3 Longnecks, good burgers & fries. 1 pool table.

Great burgers in an out of the way location! Fries were so-so but the tots were hot and fresh.

Food was ok. Could get better food and service anywhere else. Don't waste your time driving out of the way for this subpar bar

The big dean is delicious. I do wish they would disclose on the menu that they only put half a slice of bacon on the whole burger.

Even if the station itself is closed, the outside displays and vehicles are always accessible, making it easy to wander around, snap photos, and pose beside some true Americana at any hour of the day. The site is a restored Kan-O-Tex gas station, and it has become a playful landmark thanks to its alleged inspiration for characters in Pixar's Cars movie. Parked out front are classic fire trucks and other vintage vehicles that immediately transport you back to the heyday of the Mother Road. Old gas pumps stand as reminders of a time when stations like this were lifelines for travelers, and through the windows you can glimpse memorabilia that adds to the nostalgic atmosphere. Seat yourself, a waitress quickly stopped by with menus and took a drink order. The menu is pretty big and includes breakfast and a kids menu. I ordered hot tea and am so happy to have received a cup of tea with a pot of tea back-up! Yes, all the tea please. The lemons on the side added to my tea joy. It's the small things. My SO ordered himself an open faced roastbeef sandwich. This is shredded roast on top of a sweet roll smothered in gravy with a side of mashed potato. He certainly ate it like it was tasty. (I did confirm - it is tasty.) I went with an a la carte breakfast of two eggs and one pancake. The pancake had a slightly sweet taste and is fluffy. The eggs were cooked perfectly 'over easy'. You can tell they are cooked as eggs should be over a low heat - no scorch marks on the outer edge. Bathrooms are in the back left corner and are cleanest where it matters most. Diaper station in the ladies room. During our visit many of the guests knew each other and chatted amongst themselves. All the staff we came in contact with were friendly. They kept a close eye on all the guests making sure everyone had everything they needed. All together a good stop.
