Cool bouldering place. Very simple place but serves its purpose: bouldering. Lots of bouldering opportunities/levels there!

Best climbing in Rochester! Great community, good route setting. Fun atmosphere. Even better now that the upstairs has heating in it.

Great time! Audrey and Katie were the guides for our party of 3. We got to visit with them…read morebetween zips....really fun and personable. Even got my 12 year old niece to open up. She's usually very shy. Very safe and exciting experience. The last platform was pretty scary because you have to step off and go straight down. I froze and couldn't do it, but Audrey talked me through it until she finally gave me a little shove and I was off! Just what I needed!!! Much fun was had by all. Wet and foggy day only added to the experience.

Kids Adventure Park/Rock Wall & Trampoline…read more Did the fall sky ride last year and it was well organized and efficient, this years visit.......not so much. Most discombobulated event ever. One would have thought that this was a new feature and they were working out the bugs. Drove to the summit and parked then walked into the summit area with little if no signage indicating where to go. Stumbled into the Summit Bldg and it turned out to be the correct place to be. Checked in and was told the climbing gloveds were sold out (they did refund) and the kids had no problem with the Resort gloves. The reservation was for 12:30 and the 2 grandkids (5&7) had their harness attached along with 4 other kids and one adult and his older son who were doing the "big kids" courses. As we were standing around a guy came along, maybe to relieve the original girl who was taking some sort of gear out to one of the courses with the father and son. The guys asks what we were doing since we were all geared up and I stated that we were waiting for directions at which point he asked what were we signed up for (one would think just by the size of the kids in the gear it would be apparent what we were all waiting to do.) He gave me hand gesture directions, which were not very good and, again, there was poor signage, but after walking in the general direction of the "hand gesture" a woman coming up from the area gave me a clear indication of where we were to go. It is now 12:50 and the attendant was getting kids ready and asks "where are the trollys"? Having no clue what she is talking about out I said that what ever they were wearing was what they were given. She radioed up requesting 2 kids trollys be brought down. Tick tock, tick tock and after about 10 minutes of waiting for a delivery I walked up to the Summit Bldg where the same mass confusion was going on and I peaked behind the black curtains and asked the employee for 2 kids trollys (this was not the first time she had to radio up for kids trollys either). Finally the kids were able to do the courses. Once their time was up we went over to the rock wall/trampoline area and there are no employees there or within sight to ask about the procedure. Once again I walked up to the Summit Bldg asking if anyone was going to be watching the RockWall/Trampoline and they asked if I had gone by there (seriously?) I replied yes and there was nobody around. They said they would get someone so we walked to our car for water and a snack and by the time we got back the area was stocked with an employee who, by the way, was very nice and helpful. Given the state of the economy with discretionary spending tight one would think that Bristol Mtn would be chomping at the bit to provide the best service/experience possible......but it was not to be. The kids area was not crowded or busy and the chairlift rides seemed to be going without issues from what I saw up top. Hopefully Bristol Mtn will get their act together but either way we will not be returning.

It's a small community bouldering gym but a much bigger facility than it looks in the pictures!…read more Very open air facility with a giant ceiling fan and open garage door, which really helps during the summer. Super friendly staff and there's a local community feel to the gym, which is a huge draw. Also, they have a ping pong table, and a stretching/fitness area upstairs with 2 power racks, a fan bike, and a Tension board (if you're looking to mix things up) There's free gravel parking, and plenty of space (unlike Collegetown...)

If you have toddlers age 1-3 make sure you get in the mailing list for there Toddler Time Events…read more Finally an activity for toddlers at an appropriate time. Drive me nuts that kids events don't start until like 10 so was so excited that Cayuga Clinbs Toddler Time is from 8:30 to 9:45 it's the perfect time for a kids activity. The space is great for letting kids runaround and try climbing. My daughter love finding the cow on top of one of the climbing wall every time we go. Sorry if no one else has found it since she doesn't let go of it easily once she finds it. It's reasonably priced $15 per toddler and you don't have to pay for the adults like you would a children's museum but you do have to watch your own kids. My twins get so excited to go, seriously one of the best events for toddlers in the area. Typically twice a month on Sundays but it does not have a consistent schedule so again get on the mailing list so you're informed when the next event will take place.

I tried Flying trapeze for my first time. I have an aerial background and there were 2 new women…read morethat did not. The guys leading the class moved fast, talked fast, but they were clear. They were super flexible with your capabilities and encouraged you to go for it while maintaining safety. Everyone flew. And they even did flying with catching! It was great! After each turn, the instructor on slack that would call each movement, would go over your run. He'd give suggestions of what you did well and what to aim for next time. The new women did great. Just shows that this group was really great with how they instruct. I hope to catch some of their cloud swing workshops. But I will definitely be back!!!!!

We brought our 2 girls (ages 6 & 12) to Roc City Circus for their trapeze test flights. I was more…read morethan a little nervous after watching the professionals demonstrate how to fly (and flip) However, they checked and double-checked their harnesses and spent some individual time with each of them explaining what to do and what not to do. Plus, they were so upbeat and happy that my worries quickly turned to excitement. After they were finished with their safety discussion, my 12yr old (always the dare-devil) got right up there and loved every minute of her fly...she did exactly what she was supposed to do and did an amazing job! My 6yr old (who had been uncharacteristicly quiet and apprehensive since we arrived) started to cry She said she was scared and didn't want to fly, but Daddy surprisingly offered to take her place (even though he's always been terrified of heights). My 12yr old and I watched her as she watched him and then she turned to us and said, "If Daddy can do it, so can I" and that little girl did not falter for a second. She marched up that ladder and stood on that platform with her head held high. You could've heard a pin drop. Everyone in the place stopped what they were doing to watch this little angel stand up to her fear. I kept waiting for her to change her mind, but her determination to "be strong like daddy" gave her the courage to grab onto that trapeze and jump! As she flew through the air, smiling ear to ear, the whole place erupted into cheers! It was such a special moment and I was so grateful to these complete strangers who made this adventure all the more memorable for our baby girl. ROC City not only gave my whole family an experience they will never forget, but it gave my youngest the confidence and pride to continue trying new things And now, I have 2 dare-devils Thank you Roc City!

We wanted to visit this YMCA location to take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool…read more We first dropped off our kids at the childcare center. The kids preferred this childcare center over the Penfield location. They said it seemed cleaner and there was not gum all over the surfaces. The wellness center was decent. Not a ton of machines but enough. It was surprisingly slow for a Saturday and I had my choice of machines. I liked the electronic lockers here. The outdoor pool is really what makes this location stand out. I wish there were more shady areas poolside. The slide is fun (and fast). Kids loved the splash pad. The only aspect I was unhappy with was how basic the changing rooms were by the pool. They could use an update to be modernized. The changing rooms were as basic as you can get. No stalls strictly for changing. We enjoyed this location and would come back for the pool.

I asked him what he was doing and also was waiting to see if anyone was following behind looking for him and, no one! Not one person was searching for my 3 year old son. I brought him back in and said he got out the door and found me in the lobby and the response from a male worker was "oh". . Not a "oh. I'm sorry" or "oh my goodness I apologize ". Mind you, I am supposed to trust people with my kid's life. Let me also say that he knows how to push the handicapp door button to get the doors open so had I not been in the lobby sitting down, he would have walked right out the front doors. Interesting this place tried to pin neglect on me when they are the ones having neglected my son. I stopped going to this branch a long time ago.
