AMAZING CLIMBING GYM! I am a first time climber, and heard about this gym from a friend. I expected to climb for a day, enjoy it a little, and move on with my life. I ended up signing up for a monthly membership after my first day. The gym is enormous. As a beginner, there are plenty of walls for me to choose from. Difficulty of each wall is clearly marked, which makes choosing which walls to climb very simple. There are walls I can do easily, walls I can struggle on, and walls that I can't dream of completing a single move. There is something for everyone. Admittedly, I have not taken full advantage of the bordering section, but it is equally as big, and well marked. Besides top rope, lead climbing, and bordering there is a very well stocked gym and yoga classes. I have barely scratched the surface of what the gym has to offer, but I would rather go here 4 times a week then a conventional gym. Lastly, staff is friendly, helpful, and overall awesome. As a relatively new climber I was amazed when I first stepped foot into the gym when it opened about a month and a half ago. This place has everything I could ever need between bouldering, top rope, lead, a weight room, and a yoga studio, it even has a kids area. The routes and boulders are reset frequently so there are always fresh things to climb. The staff, as well as other climbers, are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. While a membership here is slightly more money than other places in Rochester with all CRG offers the little extra is certainly worth it. read more

CRG is a great new addition to the Rochester community! The facility is brand new and beautiful. They offer many free classes to members to help create a strong foundation for climbing. Even during busy times it is easy to get on any route. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are open and receptive to questions and feedback. Great climbing and bouldering facilities. Also a nice mini gym area for calisthenics and body weight training. Staff is welcoming and inviting. Trainers are knowledgeable and passionate. They also host classes in all types of fitness including yoga open to members. Other than the Red Barn in all it's charms, this is now the best climbing facility in Rochester. read more

Yo this place is sick. Super central location in town so I dont have to drive far out to Henrietta. Fantastic setting, offering challenges for all levels. Killer staff - mostly all my friends, plus a great place to chill with homies and meet new ones too! Central Rock Gym is great. The staff are super friendly and professional and the facilities are fantastic. There are lockers and showers. There are tons of climbing routes and an entire room for bouldering, plus yoga classes. I felt welcomed as a new climber and the staff brought me up to speed quickly. read more

Best climbing gym in Rochester! The holds are nice. Holds are cleaned every time they come down and routes are set multiple times a week. (Bouldering set once a week).
