We saw every room from Ave throwing, party room, smash rooms, paint rooms and two new and upcoming activity rooms which will be available in the next few weeks. The hosts and staff were extremely helpful, friendly and excited to show us all of what I-Smash has to offer. We learned that this was the first I-Smash and they now franchise about 100 other facilities. The nearest from Rochester location is Syracuse and Albany. The I-Smash is a great place for all. Customers as young as 3 yrs old can have fun, as well as corporate team building, date nights, birthdays, Bachelorette or bachelor party's, you name it! Locked recently added a new room, Gold Rush, which my friend and I loved. I also heard that the room which was personally my least favorite is soon going to be redone. Andy, the owner, is great. He really loves what he's doing, and it shows. As I've said before, every one of these rooms includes something incredibly creative that I haven't seen anywhere else. Table was set-up nicely for the party. The staff was cheerful, friendly and accommodating. Here are some things to know: Pizza was from Salvatore's - when it was delivered, we were not notified. I had to go ask when they would be serving our pizza a few minutes after 8pm. They were like oh, it's here. It's in the warming rack. We didn't know you wanted it. I wasn't made aware that I had to ask for our pizza. Booking an end of the night party basically gave the kids at our party the place to themselves a little after 8pm. Nobody was there except us and the staff. This may change if the place becomes more popular. It is a much smaller venue compared to the trampoline parks in Rochester. One thing our kids said was that there weren't really any long trampolines to bounce on. Overall, it was a success. The glow aspect with the upbeat music definitely made it better for the older kids.I feel this park is geared for the younger kids. Though it is nice to have something closer to home.

The rooms were laid out well. The system of getting clues is fairly straightforward. The clues and rooms were fun. It felt a bit rehearsed telling you the rules, which are important. I think it would be nice to have more of an engaging experience with the staff. I will continue to support them and bring more people through. Hoping I don't feel like a number next time but like I'm actually in an experience. Other experiences I have done in California the staff is very animated and engaging. You feel like they are part of it. It's a nice touch to feel that connection.

I'll start with some of the things I was less impressed with: 1) I understand the irony of my writing this review and saying this - but their reviews, ESPECIALLY Google reviews, should not be trusted. I was honestly appalled by the explicit solicitation of reviews. There were signs to "review us on Google" on EVERY pole in the building, and the poor employee had to give a speech (that was clearly mandatory) about "my manager really appreciates if you leave 5 star Google reviews blah blah blah" at the end of our experience. It was so uncomfortable and off putting. 2) The decor and entrance, as other reviewers have mentioned, leave a lot to be desired. The escape room itself was a-okay, but the waiting area and "party room" both felt very sparse and dungeony. If you're planning to book any kind of party here, I would go see the space prior to committing. The "party area" is back by the bathrooms and not private. The rest really was fun and wonderful! We had fun picking our team name, the employees were great and helpful and kind, and the room was the perfect blend of difficult and engaging. Overall, I would say go and enjoy. I don't know how it compares to competitors since this was my first escape room in years, but this is a solid option for dates and groups alike.

This review is for the ice skating rink which replaces the fountain and reflecting pool at the park…read morein the winter months. The rink is operational from Dec through mid March, as long as temps are above 45 degrees. There is a zamboni that is used to resurface the ice every couple or few hours, keeping it in pretty good shape. The rink is not that large, but it's a good size for an outside rink (as opposed to indoors rinks, which are larger because they are used for hockey). For the past few Decembers, Wegmans has generously sponsored the rink, so that skate 'rentals' and use of the rink are free up until New Years. You just have to wait in the line (which can be long at times!) to get your skates. When renting skates, they have figure-skating-style and hockey-style skates; they also have a wide ranges of sizes from small sizes for kids through all the adult sizes. They are periodically sharpening the skates too but beware that this is a public place and the skates you receive might not be that sharp. For those new to skating, the rink offers 'skate mates' which allow you to hold on to something and keep your balance while learning how to balance on the blades. This is a great option for little kids and adults that need extra stabilization. For 2024, they have a special event where you can skate for free if you bring a canned good for their food drive through Jan 15th. Then after that, the rink continues to operate but switches over to a paid model (prices vary). You can still rent skates or bring your own and just pay to use the rink. Note that if you bring your own skates, you can also get them sharpened onsite on Mondays and Tuesdays. Where to leave your stuff?? It's recommended to change into your skates inside the warming hut, but then take your shoes/boots outside and leave them under one of the tables or benches. Make sure NOT to walk on the concrete sidewalks with your skates on - stay on the rubber mats provided between the warming hut and rink - otherwise the surface of the skate blade can be damaged. There are also nearby bathrooms and the warming shelter includes a fireplace. The location has free parking all around, and at holiday times, coincides with the Rochester Holiday Village - which means it can be busy and parking can be a challenge, but there's also parking in the Strong museum garage.

The first half seemed that way! There were book pages laid out in weather proof stands to read as we walked. It was flat and wide, and follows the water. But as soon as you turn the bend and walk up those stairs, everything changes. It gets thin and overgrown, roots and rocks are everywhere, and one misstep would probably send you down the hill on either side if you're not careful. I would definitely classify this trail as a moderate, and would not recommend the second half to anyone who isn't steady on their feet! The rest of the park: Beautiful! So many wide open areas! Water, which always earns brownie points for ambience. A few covered pavilions, a really fun playground area, and an impressive community center. I'm not sure I would walk the trail again, but I would definitely come back here for everything else!
