Providing me a quote that was with in my ranged and seemingly, fully understanding what I wanted to accomplish. After getting additional quotes from other Yelp businesses I decided to work with Zlrenovations. After signing the contract, the initial deposit was to be sent to his wife's Zelle account. Since I never sent money to this account before I needed to pay the full amount over several days, ZL was very understanding about this. Work was to start later that week, on April 25th and end on April 29th. Unfortunately, work never started. Every day something came up with their ZL's work truck or health that prevented the work from starting. This on its own would not have been a problem, however, I came across another profile here on Yelp by the name of Construccion that was owned by the same person. This account has the same photos and run by a person with the same name as ZL. At this one I was incredibly shaken from reading those negative reviews and fearful that ZL will take my deposit and never show up. Per our contract, if work did not start on April 30th I could cancel the contract and get a refund of my deposit. I reached out to ZL, informed them of my request to cancel and requested my refund. ZL asked to have until the end of the week (May 3rd) to return the money. This was fine by me. As of me writing this (June, 19, 2024) I have only received $500 back through Zelle. I text ZL nearly everyday asking for an update and like showing up for the initial job, there seems to always be something getting in the way of sending me the money. At one point I was provided with a check for the money. I attempted to deposit this several times, but each time the check bounced due to ZL not having enough funds in their account. My initial experience with ZL was fantastic but after my deposit was taken the experience has spiraled. Edit: I do want to add the I informed ZL that I would put a good review on their profile once the money was returned to show their willingness to provided the return in a timely manner. Due to it being over a month since I was told I was going to be returned the money, I wanted to share my experience.
