At 8:45 am a female staff member came out the front door to instruct people on where to park. I took a photo directly off THEIR CURRENT ESTATE SALE AD and showed it to said employee as she was walking back in, to inquire as to what part of the house it was in. She looked at the photo and said she "didn't know where it was in the house". Upon entering at 9 am, I asked a male staff member sitting NEXT TO the female staff member I asked a full 15 minutes ago, where the item was. They pointed DIRECTLY across from the table they were sitting at to an EMPTY SPACE stating the "family had come in last night and taken it". Their advertisement for this sale CONVENIENTLY states that "Sometimes the family changes their mind about an item for sale, we have no control over this and we hope you understand". HOWEVER, when I asked this employee 15 minutes earlier and she KNEW that the family took it "last night", she could have exhibited a shred of common integrity and decency to let me know. I also let her know the photo of said item was still on the ad site. Instead of an apology, she QUICKLY stated, she asked her husband to take the photo down a few minutes before opening. I let them both know my displeasure at waiting so long to be non-chalantly dismissed without so much as a semi contrite apology. I am quite sure the "owners" will post a reply which is moot as there are WAY too many Estate Sale Companies out there that treat their buyers with respect and integrity. Been attending estate sales for 15 years and this is the slimiest company we have ever dealt with. Most reputable estate sale companies don't have the disclaimer regarding the family coming in and taking a featured item the night before the sale as they don't do business like that. If they do they have the decency to take the photos down. Do yourself a favor and avoid these people who will waste your time without apology. Somehow, I don't believe it will be the last time with these folks. There is another BAD review from a few years ago on Google stating something about this estate sale "company" selling items from a store in Temple. Sounds about right.
