This business had my walk-behind Honda lawnmower for 4 weeks for a simple tuneup and blade sharpening. Every time I called there were 1 or 2 in the queue before me. My last call was answered by the female rep. I tried to explain my frustration to no avail as she talked over me, not allowing any input. I even tried pointing out that she was talking over me, but she was determined to have the last word. I finally asked if any work had been started. She said NO. I said DON'T START I will pick it up. The pull rope broke in my leafblower. I went to this business to buy a replacement..I advised them of the type of blower and was charged $5 for a two foot pull rope. While changing out the rope the darn spring came out. The next day I took the shield, rope, spring and plastic piece that the rope goes on to the shop asking if they could put the spring back on..an hour later I returned for the parts. I was expecting to pay maybe $20 as a price was never discussed. Nope $47 ..I was shocked! They told me the rope I brought them was too big. I received an excuse when I told them they had sold me the pull rope the day before and I had to even ask for the previous purchased pull rope back. When I questioned the high price I was told it was for labor, parts and the pull rope..only parts I did not bring them was a washer and a screw as I was not expecting it to be put together.. I went home and after the 1st pull the rope will not retract. Took a saw in that was in one piece by the way. It ran it just wouldn't idle asked if they could repair carb. Mind u it would run under slight throttle. received a call saying saw was in repairable because they couldn't get parts... I understood hard to find parts but when I pick it up. Its in pieces. In a box and was told that they don't put anything back together if they can't fix it. It was in one piece when I brought it in it should of been in one piece regardless if u couldn't fix it. Brought my old weeder for service. It was working but a bit rough so I figured it could use a tune up. After 3 long weeks, my wife came to pick it up and was shocked when she was told the service bill was $250, $30 less than what they sell a brand new one out-the-door with tax, and much more than the online price! When she asked "why didn't you call and tell us beforehand?" The owner responded "you didn't ask for a price quote". This is the type of business that prioritize quick cash over their customers best interests. We paid, but will never set foot in that place again. Perhaps you should consider doing the same. I will never to back to this place again. I took my weed eater in to get tuned up. They then told me it wasn't idling correctly. They then told me for $40 they could look into it and see what was wrong. I agreed to pay the $40 and they called and said it would be $247 to replace the carburetor. I said no to that as I would rather buy a new one than to put all that money into it. I picked my weed eater up and it was disassembled with the parts just thrown in a bag. They told me they never reassemble and in order to do so I would need to pay them $30 to reassemble it. I've never dealt with a business who does this kind of thing. That was the last time I will ever go there, nor will I recommend this shop to anyone. So disgusted with this place. read more

I brought my Stihl trimmer in to have the pull cord replaced and a spring tune up completed. I was required to leave a $40 deposit, which I thought was unusual. I was contacted a week later and advised they took apart the carb, that it needed to be replaced at a cost of $160 but I should buy new one from them at $180. A replacement carb can be bought on Amazon for $15, so I told them I would do it myself. I was advised by them that they would not put my trimmer and carb back together unless I paid an additional $20. WOW !!!. I ultimately paid the additional money, bought a carb on Amazon and had it running in 30 minutes. I felt as if I was lied to and taken advantage of. I will never spend another dime in this store. read more

Well these guys have not changed their habits even with all this negative feedback. I bought a brand new Stihl 250 chainsaw from this guy with the understanding that there was a 7 day unconditional return policy from stihl so I couldn't go wrong. Well the saw was a piece of shite from the first day and I brought it back to his shop for the first 4 days of use each time I did they made up some kind of lie about the cause. This chump even went as far as to claim that i had abused the saw by cutting Oak with it so he did not have to honor the warranty guaranty of the 7 day return. Stihl backed him up !!!! After threats of taking them to small claims court for bait and switch and fraud , Stihl had me take the saw to another dealer and he replaced the carburetor and coil on the saw with less than 6 hrs on it. It runs now , at least for the little i have got to use it since. Outdoor power are just bottom of the barrel cons and will never get any more of my business or anyone else's if I can help it. I also told Sthil that they should pull their product from his shelves as he is giving them a bad name. After years of buying Stihl Products this is my LAST PURCHASE OF STIHL PRODUCTS. read more

I do not recommend this store at all, went in today with a broken chainsaw they sold me hoping to get some help, for some reason the big lady that works there was having a very bad day and very disrespectfully called me a Dick... The only nice person there was the girl that repairs the equipment but she don't seem to know a whole lot about chainsaws. I went to Chico and had a much better experience. Run. Don't walk, run from this out fit. I took my Stihl chain saw here in May, after 10+ years of hard service it stalled out and would't start any longer. The mechanic said it was probably the carburetor and it would need a kit or new carb. I was told that ethanol in gasoline is damaging. Ok, could be. I payed just over $100 for installing carb kit. I let it sit with the gas they left in it till September and tried to trim some tree limbs; it very quickly started stalling again. I took it back, was told it was probably ethanol damage again! I paid them to put in another carb kit. Used it 2 days later and still staling out. Mechanic tells me that it was undoubtably ethanol again. He has heard of damage occurring is as little as 1 day! REALLY?? Does Stihl know about this? They oughtta. I waited all day for a call back telling me how they were going to resolve this, what they would do for me. What I got was a call telling me what I could do for them, install a THIRD carb kit, but they would knock $30 off normal labor charge. If I didn't like this I could take it to the shop "up on North Main Street." This recommendation may be the best service they could have done me. read more

Avoid this store at all costs. I took my Honda 6500 eu generator into this store because it was not running. They told me it would be 75 dollars to find out what was wrong with it. When I came back in they told me the problem was the inverter and it would cost upwards of 1200 dollars to fix it. When I told them I did not want them to fix it they refused to return my generator saying I would have to pay an additional 400 dollars just for them to tell me why it was broken. Since I had a deal that it would be 75 dollars I refused to pay the additional 400 and they kept my generator for over six months. I spoke with the owner of the store on several occasions and he had no sympathy and frankly is a straight asshole. I ended up having to pay the 475 just for them to tell me what was wrong. When I got it back I took it to a Honda store in redding and they looked at it and without me telling them the problem figured it out for 80 dollars and promptly fixed it for an additional 760 dollars. The long story short this store is absolutely crooked and has no morals. I would recommend never setting foot into this store. read more

Was told I was getting a new carburetor for my blower and the part was $42 and some change. 2 days later I called and it was done. They rebuilt mine and charged me $110 without authorization.... Poor business habits and I will never return. Should have went to north main equipment but the wife bought this one for me as a gift and I thought they might back what they sell. It is an exceedingly rare occurrence when I take the time to review a business. The only reason Red Bluff Outdoor is getting one star is because that is the minimum. Believe me they don't deserve it. Took my old Homelight 330 in for a starter rope handle and a look-see into why it was leaking. A few days later comes the phone call advising me they can't fix it and it will cost me $30.00 for that piece of information. Reluctantly I went in to retrieve it, paid my $30.00 and only after I paid was I presented with my saw--disassembled in a box. I complained and was advised they would charge to re-assemble. Flat out unscrupulous, amateurish business practice. I would not recommend my worst enemy to this place. My only solace is they won't remain in business long with their unprofessional approach to customer service. Stay far away from this place. read more

AVOID THESE PEOPLE OR YOU MAY BE A SORRY AS I WAS. I paid 600+ dollars for a piece of equipment that broke in the first 15 minutes as it was defective. I asked for a replacement and was told no. I asked for a refund and was told no. I was lied to on several occasion during the process and generally given the runaround. They were the ones who gasses up the machine yet now claim I am at fault after having the unit in to check the problem. I am out 600, they still have the unit and they still refuse to refund me my money. I have now filed a complaint with the better business bureau and am beginning civil court procedings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. read more

Took my husky chainsaw to them after all winter of not using it and couldnt get it started. after 1 day they replaced some bad rubber tubing and gave it a tuneup for 30 dollars. the chainsaw runs great and i am very happy. i am going to definately buy my next chainsaw from these folks. they are both friendly and professional. read more

Wish I could give them less than one star. Purchased a chainsaw from this place and it broke a month later. Went in for warranty repair for a defective part. They were adamant that I had to pay for the repair. Upon contesting the bill they advised I would have to pay for the part but labor would be covered. I had my Mower brought in because it had fuel issues and kept shutting off. I told Joel it sounds like it was starving for fuel and it might be the fuel pump. He thought it sounded like a carburetor and told me it would be no more than an hour to fix. When I came to pick it up there were charges for a fuel filter which I had already replaced that day and charges to check my oil, which I never gave them permission to do. They charged me 1-1/2 hours labor plus parts for a total of $134.00. Joel wanted to argue with me in front of several people about getting my parts refunded and he would not give money back on labor. Total rip off. When I got home mower wouldn't start, same problem. Brought it back to Jonathon and he said it was the diaphragm in the carb. Picked it up again, ran it for 10 minutes same problem. Brought it in again for the third time Jonathon said it needed a new carb this time and it would be $200 and labor would be no charge. Thought it was a fair deal until I got home and checked online for pricing and found out carbs were only $126.00. Guess he got me for labor after all. When I picked it up again, ran it for 2 minutes same problem. Called and talked to Ryan the so called manager on a Friday and he told me that I would have to wait for the owner to get home from vacation the following Thursday before they could begin to look at it. They have three guys on staff and could not go out of there way to service a customer on his third call back. In our conversation he also informed me that he wanted to make sure in the 2 minutes it took me to get it off the trailer it wasn't user error. I wanted to reach threw the phone and choke the son of a bitch. These guys are complete idiots from top to bottom. WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK. STAY THE HELL AWAY. read more
