We used to frequent this location all the time. Figured we'd give it one more chance because our go to Thai place (mai Thai) was closed on Sundays. But immediately the service that the waitress informed us that they do not serve on Sundays, which must be new to us because we have always been here on Sundays and been able to do cocktails not only that the food was not the best not as fresh at all. Also, the waitress seemed to be very forgetful, even though we were literally one of four tables, it was 3 PM totally not busy at all. She must be too busy with her personal life or on her phone in the back room to attend and do her job properly. I rarely leave reviews like this, but I will never be coming here again. The owner or manager should really be more present and attentive as to how the servers speak to and communicate to PAYING customers. PAYING customers are literally how we fund your business! Don't forget that. RAY was our servers name. She was sweet enough but absolutely should NOT be a waitress or server anywhere. She really needs to look for a job that she's more qualified for. I was a server and bartender for over 10 years. It is really not that hard to get things right especially when you have four tables to attend to and that's it. This is the last straw. I told everyone in the restaurant never come back here sorry that I made a scene, but I highly recommend going to konnichiwa up the street. I promise you if this place does not reply or change it's ways I will recommend every single person coming in this is to rethink and drive half a mile to konnichiwa which is far better fresher and not frozen or rotted tasting food. read more

On 7/15/25, The staff member and/or Management decided to give themselves an additional tip charged to my card. When I contacted management they provided some excuse that I signed the receipt and they couldn't tell what I wrote. Interesting because I didn't sign the receipt AT ALL and have all the copies of the receipt because I left a cash tip so I didn't sign anything. clearly if they have anything it was reprinted. Waitress Jasmine got well over what she deserved in a cash tip and if management knew about this then shame on them! They didn't seem interested in making it right when I made multiple attempts to contact management prior to taking it further with a dispute with my bank and filing police report. read more

Our service from Cee-Cee outshined the food. Aside from the Tofu substitute which was an accommodation (thank you Kitchen), it didn't not come out cooked to my preference...I can't consume soft Tofu. Cee-Cee quickly asked what else would I like to try so I could enjoy my lunch experience. For the rest of our visit, Cee-Cee was full of hospitality. We never once had to ask for her as she made frequent stops by our table to ensure we were good. Really yummy! There are next to no decent sushi places around here besides Inakaya. But Red Bowl has surprised us with how consistent they are. The Japanese food in this restaurant is horrible. I ordered a bento box with beef teriyaki, lo Mein a California roll and an egg roll. The lo mein was made with spaghetti not lo mein noodles. Nothing great or special about this red bowl location. I came here for lunch by myself. It actually took my anonymous server 10 minutes to come greet me (and it was not busy at all) and the restaurant doors were still locked when I got there 6 mins after opening. So, needless to say my first impression wasn't good already because both of those details show a lazy staff. My server apologized for the wait when he finally made his way to my table and I placed my order. It didn't take long before it came to the table and the presentation was nice. According to my server, it was the sushi chef's idea to put a heart made of spicy mayo on my plate. "Oh.. Ok, thanks," I said realizing it wasn't a usual thing to do. In fact, the sushi chef came by my table to personally greet me and ask me how my dynamite roll was. I told him it was good and thanked him. He then asked me if I come there often and I told him it was my first time there. He looked at me surprised and then asked where I usually like to eat sushi. At this point, I thought that was a weird question to ask me, but I told him about a couple other places I've been to and he told me that he hoped I came back again. So, I think it is safe to say he was flirting with me, which was fine and didn't bother me. However, the sushi roll itself wasn't particularly flavorful or delicious for that matter and the spicy tuna wasn't even spicy, but I was hungry and I liked how it was rolled in tempura flakes. The one good thing about my experience is that I was in and out of there in 20 mins from the time I ordered to the time I closed my tab. If you want some quick and fairly inexpensive sushi or American Chinese for lunch, this is your spot. Our food comes out and the waiter says "sesame chicken" as he sets the food down. my girlfriend takes 2 bites and realizes something is not right. The waiter brought out sesame SHRIMP... After pointing out this mistake, the waiter says "oops. Hope you're not allergic" and proceeds to make jokes as he replaces the order. Luckily, my girlfriend is not allergic, but seafood makes her very uneasy. We expressed this to the waiter, but ultimately he did nothing to make this situation better. A gem! Stopped by for lunch on our drive from NC to TX. Very close to I-20. Good sushi, great prices! Service with a smile. Decided on 5 stars because the prices are outstanding! $6.95 for 2 rolls, 12 pieces. California roll was really good. Salmon roll was ok. Also bought miso soup for $0.50 extra and a salmon hand roll which was really good and packed with great salmon. However after seeing that this place was absolutely infested with roaches, I cannot recommend this business. The food, flavor, atmosphere was very pleasing, presentation of the food was excellent. Offering something for the whole family. My husband and I enjoyed our meal. The shop was both clean and tidy, having plenty seating. The hostess/ waitress was very slow, we received a free appetizer because of this event. Staff members there greeted us in/ out when we left.
