A few things. Some coworkers and I went. Party of 5. It took about 10 minutes for service. Mid afternoon on a Monday, a week or so go. Maybe understaffed, I wasn't mad. However. The food is way overpriced. The salad was large, and maybe the only thing worth the price. Mushroom Swiss burger was way overcooked. With cheese not even melted...? The turkey melt sandwich was ok, without the corners of the bread that were not edible. The fish and chips were definitely too expensive. And the quality i can get at any fast food place. The next order was a regular burger with slaw added. It must have been a different batch of buns, as it was stale as ever. The sides are a joke. The fries are way too salty. We have been coming to this place, off and on, for about 20 years. We highly recommend it. 1. BEER. It's all about the beer, let's start with that: their beers are definitely above average. "Daily Crisis" IPA is our favorite, but the others are excellent, too. Their "guest" beers vary, but some of them are very good, too. [4 1/2 stars] 2. SERVICE. I stopped into White Marsh on my way back home on Sunday. There are a lot of options for food in White Marsh and I wanted to try a restaurant I hadn't been to before. I sat at the bar at Red Brick and was fascinated to see how many regulars showed up for football. I was in someone's designated seat so I got a few glares but no one actually asked me to move. I asked the bartender (Dick) for a list of beers available and he showed me a flyer about their specialty beers. I chose the stout since it was on special and it was pretty good. I ordered the swiss&mushroom burger with fries for my entree. The burger was actually very good and cooked to perfection. I was not impressed with the fries, though. Everything was fine but I don't know if I would come back. The number of people surrounding me who reeked of cigarette smoke was very off-putting. read more

Stopped in while on business. It is a pleasantly arranged environment with a nice sized bar in the middle. To be fair; it was a weeknight, so it didn't feel crowded at all. In a sea of chain restaurants RBS is a nice option in White Marsh to grab a bite on an outside patio. The food is ok, pork belly tacos were decent. Beer was also decent, I had the blueberry ale and ipa and both were good. Let's talk about $1 draft Tuesdays though! I felt like I got away with petty crime when my check came. My second visit here and things had improved a lot. I had the Honeygo Light beer this time. It was much better than the Avenue Ale last time. The taste was crisp and balance between malt and wheat flavor was perfect. I also had the RB combination, one crab cake and a single rack of ribs. The crab cake was OK, but the ribs were excellent. I'd give this place 3.5 stars. We came here to eat lunch. The shopping center is great. The restaurant is nice. Similar to what you would picture a micro brew restaurant. There were 10 of us and they were able to accommodate us in the patio with no problem. We didn't order any alcoholic beverages so the review is on the food and service. The food was good, not great but good. I had a seafood club which was good but the flavor was just ordinary. The portion was good sized. The others thought their food was good but all were full after the meal. Service was really good. Between the service ands decent food at large portions is my reasoning for 3.5 stars. This place has a split personality. The bar is cool, so many things to look at... I have been several times, even on cramped dollar draft Tuesday nights. However, the dining area is hideous. Think banquet hall. Food was okay, nothing I would come running back for. The hummus was lacking and somewhat bland and that makes me all kinds of sad. I ordered Katie's Powerhouse Wrap minus the goat cheese. It was as all good wraps should be just needed a bit more dressing. Fries were tasty! Our waitress hated us for no good reason. Food and service alone in the dining area would have earned 3 stars. Thankfully I had visted the bar first. I am here with 4 stars (the first half of my review cannot be unseen sigh) to chat about their beer and Orange Creamsicle Crush, something's I actually do day dream about...just enough of a saving grace to boost that extra star out of me. Fast , good service at the bar . We also ordered chips and salsa for 3 bucks. It seems like it was homemade. Nice and chunky just the way I like It . We had a few drinks then walked right in over to AMC to watch a movie. Will most likely come back here because I actually enjoyed the beer here. I went here based on the 3.5 star rating and the menu had a lot of variety but the whole experience was disappointing. Beef Brisket sandwich was the special of the day and I now know why it was. It was the chewiest piece of meat I've ever had in my life. I had to wash it down with a ton of water just to get it down. The BBQ sauce was boring, the fried onions lacked any flavor and bun was stale. The brisket seemed like it had been the leftover meat from a while ago. Crab Cake sandwich was terrible, being from Baltimore, this was one of the worst crab cakes I've ever had and I'm not sure if it was from a Chesapeake blue crab. These crab cakes are definitely premade and left in a fridge, the crab cake was large but the center part was cold. And there were red pieces inside that looked like imitation crab meat. Black & Bleu is blackened chicken breast & roma tomatoes tossed in penne pasta with a creamy bleu cheese Alfredo sauce. The chicken was very dry and the sauce is very rich. I think this place is known more for their bar scene and outdoor patio area than for good food. I had the Spooners' stout and it was pretty delicious and a good price. I'd come back for a beer and to hang out on the patio but I'd eat somewhere else. read more

Red Brick is the place to go if you want that big chain restaurant feel with the satisfaction of supporting a local establishment. Other than that, I wouldn't say much distinguishes it from a Ruby Tuesday or TGIFridays. Beers are home brewed. Easily drinkable, but nothing spectacular. I got the Something Red and the Stout. Stout was creamy like a Guinness, with a mild coffee flavor common to stouts. Seasonal brews are also available, like pumpkin in the Fall and a brandy wine in the Winter. The food reminds one of standard pub chain food. Large portions are a plus; I've had leftovers every time I go. A definite winner is the grilled Thai wings. The grill gives the wings a nice smokiness which contrasts with the sweet glaze; I dare say this wing fan doesn't miss the crispy texture I associate with standard deep-fried wings. A few British pub grub offerings, such as bangers and mash, stand out. Also, nachos - HUGE - could be a meal for 2-3 people. The staff is usually amicable, but sometimes spacey. On my last visit (12/28/12), the hostess stopped talking to us mid-sentence to check her phone (really, chica?), and our waitress often passed by without asking if we were ready (didn't seem busy, but at least acknowledging that she would be with us shortly would have been appreciated). Definitely support a local chain like this for a change from the chains, but don't be surprised if it's not too different from them. read more

I had been here years ago when it first opened and had good memories. Off the beaten track for me, my son and I recently visited on a rainy Monday evening. While the restaurant was only about one third full and our meals were satisfying enough, table service was inexplicably inconsistent. Maybe we had a rookie waitress. Maybe they were understaffed, or both. I enjoyed the beer selections and happiness can be found for any American brew-pub palate except a health-conscious one. The food is too salty; be forewarned. Service cost RBS a third star from me. It's easily correctable and i hope RBS corrects it. There is too much competition on the Avenue. As it stands, I have no reason to come back. read more

Salad and fries were fine, although the chicken wasn't very 'tender'. I know the restaurant industry usually white breast meat for all chicken tenders/fingers, but here's an idea, use dark meat! We usually love Red Brick. Food & brews are great. However, we ordered one of our favorites, Fish & Chips for Lent Fish Friday this past week and boy were we disappointed. I ordered to-go and didn't realize until I got home that we were missing tartar sauce (oh well). But the bigger disappointment was that they must have changed their fish -- I really hope temporarily -- because it was not the normal white flaky fish that we have ordered dozens of times. Instead it was like trying to chew through a steak, it seemed very meaty. Weird. The crab dip was good as usual though so at least we had that. read more

Bottom line: Your experience at Red Brick depends entirely on who your server is. I've sat at the bar, and the bartender was a big fella with an Orioles hat, who took the time to talk about the beers of the month/week, and talked us into an appetizer. If I get him, I give this place 5 stars. I went on the afternoon of Orioles' opening day, and we had an 18-year old kid with tons of blue eye shadow who disappeared. The other waitress ended up covering us. We left our disappearing waitress a buck, and thanked her co-worker (don't know the name, she had a ponytail and a ballcap) on the way out. It blows my mind that going to Red Brick can be such a crapshoot. I've been often enough that I know which waiters and waitresses I *don't* want. It's gotten bad enough that if I get certain people, I'll either go sit at the bar or leave. Mr. Brick, or whomever owns this place, smarten up and ditch the sourpusses and the kids on their cellphones. Reward the big fella and girl with the ponytail and ballhat who constantly covers her co-workers' tables. You have excellent beer (really), Mr. Brick, and a few pretty good dishes. AMBIANCE & DECOR: The bar area plays the music loud and it's hard to have a conversation. If that's your vibe then cool. There's ample seating in the bar area, but this place does get crowded! As for decor I noticed a fireman's jacket hanging on the wall? I wasn't really paying attention.. SERVICE: No complaints! The bartenders weren't hard to flag down and the waiters were attentive! FOOD & DRINK: They have awesome specials depending on the time and day. $1-$2 beers, heck yes! I had their Something Red and although it was delicious, it was served in a flimsy plastic cup. I had their nachos which met my expectations as far as pub fare goes. They bake the chips after they top it with shredded cheese, olives, and jalapenos--they were not stingy with the olives and jalapenos. Then they add a dose of house made salsa and a generous cup of sour cream. It was kind of hard to eat. I probably wouldn't order it again. But I would definitely come back for the beer! I normally love this place, it was one of my favorite places to eat. Today, my husband and I ordered our anniversary meal from them. I got the Maryland pasta and greatly disappointed. The pasta was both over cooked and under cooked. The sauce had no old bay seasoning it, actually, no seasoning at all. I could not find crabmeat as stated in the description of the dish. My husband got the fish and chips, but he substituted tater tots for the fries. He said the fish was like eating a giant greasy fish stick. Red Brick Station is a great choice for a relaxing, casual lunch or dinner. On a recent trip up to Baltimore, I stayed a hop, skip and a jump from the Avenue. I remembered how much I enjoyed Red Brick Station on previous visits. My mother and I arrived early in the evening. We were seated right away. The waitress was wonderful. She was friendly and attentive. We always had a refill. We didn't wait long for our entrees. I felt spoiled. I ordered the Chesapeake Club. It was a triple decker sandwich with a crab cake, shrimp salad, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was fabulous! The shrimp in the shrimp salad was a decent size. The crab cake was cooked perfectly. The whole sandwich was delicious! This Maryland girl lives in VA now. There isn't a decent crab cake to be found where I live. It felt like coming home to have shrimp salad and a crab cake. My mother had a crab cake sandwich. She enjoyed her sandwich as much as I enjoyed mine. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. I came to this place about 2-3 weeks ago and the food was great. I had their sweet and spicy wings, crab dip (a little salty), and shrimp pot stickers. All of thst made me want to come back and try the rest of the menu items. Well...Today and every Monday they have 1/2 off burgers. So my husband and I decided to order some burgers while we are waiting for our movie screening of Jersey Boys to begin. I had the mushroom and swiss and he had a traditional burger. We came at a time when it wasn't busy so our food didn't take long to cook. The GOOD: The burgers were big, juicy and amazing, especially for $5- which included fries. The homemade fries were great as well. The drinks were good...I had the Mango Crush but it was too much ice but good. The BAD: for the bar area only had 5 folks sitting there and the service was entirely toooooo long. It took too long to get recognized by a waitress and even longer for her to come back and take our order. The waitress was friendly but not attentive. Overall we will definitely come back again. I'm only giving 4 stars because my husband only "liked" his wings (instead of LOVED).....but the server was still more than accommodating to him. Meanwhile, my food was DELICIOUS! Don't like to complain, but the more I think about our lunch today the madder I get. It was our first time in a restaurant in months so we were excited. We ate outside and the flies we so so bad, the waitress did not take our appetizer plates and bowl. We had to get our own ketchup, napkins and take home dish. We were not ask if we wanted more drinks - I'm guessing because it was only water. My granddaughter ordered chicken tenders and broccoli. The broccoli had to have been very old brown stems and just old. There was a lot of food under our table and the place did not feel as clean as it should especially with all that is going on with the virus. Anyway, Red Brick Station was always a nice place to go. I had high expectations for this place as they had a nice tap list and menu. However, I was disappointed and my expectations were not met. It is a large place with a wrap around bar and TVs. Flights are available, but their brews were just ok. Nothing really to come back again for. The food was ok. It sounded great on the menu, but the taste and flavors were not there. Unlike other places I've been, the rack of ribs is meaty, filling, and the thick sauce that caramelizes them is tasty. (A side of blue cheese must accompany my ribs...) Dan's service at the bar was exceptional. He was quick in follow through and attentive to my requests. I will be back. read more
