Always have a great time at Lib's ! Oysters were tasty. You really cannot go wrong with the crab dip bread bowl. It was fun to pick apart the actual bowl to use it like a chip. Service was great. Everyone is friendly as usual. We got outdoor seating this time.

The food was amazing. The service was fast & friendly as I sat at the bar. tThe ambiance was a more mature & family crowd.

I decided to stop in on a Saturday night to catch the Knicks/Spurs game and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded. Upon grabbing a seat at the bar, I looked over the menu and decided on the Cajun Chicken flatbread and a couple MD Crushes. Both came out in a nicely prepared and in timely manner. Bartender was attentive and personable. Lib's turned out to be the perfect spot to chill and enjoy the game.

Lib's is definitely a community staple and great anytime you go. We stopped by for brunch recently and had a great meal and a few brunch drinks. Justin was the best server and was super friendly and attentive. Libs can get a little overstimulating in the later hours of the day when it's busy so I recommend to come early if you don't like a lot of noise.

Stopped in for a cocktail. Bar was packed and dining room empty. Got seated there but then moved over to bar area (thanks to the GM). The place is a holiday vibe! They have tons of holiday themed cocktails (with passports and stamps), and other events. Check their socials. We tried 4 different cocktails. The Don't Eat Yellow Snow... Drink It is highly recommended. Very good. Didn't order food. Service was great even though they were super busy!

I am really disappointed to be lowering my review. Since they opened up the bel air location, the food quality at perry hall has been extremely inconsistent. Sometimes everything is great and other times its a different meal. This has caused us not to visit as often as we did, and we were regulars. This place is so close to me and used to be a go-to spot which is unfortunate. The past few times we came within the past year have been underwhelming. The truffle fries have overpowering garlic flavor, the burger has no flavor, the shrimp portions seem to be getting smaller and the seasoning isn't the same. The drinks and service however haven't changed and are still great, which is why I am giving 2 stars. Happy hour prices have also increased (used to be $1 oysters, $10 burger). Overall, I don't think we will be visiting anymore, not worth the gamble or quality of food.

My family and I stopped in for Saturday night dinner. Parking was easy but on busier days it might be difficult to find a spot. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately after entering. We were surprised that we didn't have a wait because it was prime dining hours on the weekend. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable, offering suggestions for my wife who is frequently unable to decide. Both my son and I had bacon cheeseburgers, my daughter had shrimp and grits and my wife a salmon sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals, service and overall experience. The restaurant was medium sized and likely gets crowded at times. The bar area is separate from the dining area which is nice when dining with family. The restaurant was clean and seemed modern. We'll definitely be going back.

I've been going to Libs for yearsssss . One of my favorite restaurant . Every time I go , I always always get this for dessert . It's the best dessert in my opinion on the menu . The food also is amazing . Couple of my favorites are ; the fish tacos , and the truffle fries . They offer brunch , happy hour , lunch and dinner . Also have late night bites on certain days . Service is always great. Make sure you make a reservation . They also take walks in

I had a nice dinner celebrating a loved one's anniversary at Lib's Grill! The staff were friendly and welcoming, service was smooth. We sat in the heated tented area, it was relaxing, at some point the lights were dimmed and changed to blue and green. It changed the vibe a bit more club-y which wasn't exactly what we were looking for for a family dinner. Nonetheless, the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the tortilla salad, it was refreshing!! I also tried the goat cheese creme brulee. The top was very cold, I was a bit surprised for an appetizer being torched at the top, but the goat cheese with walnuts complimented well with the small toasted breads.

Dropped by the cute little sports bar after a movie--such a great experience! The food was satisfying. The kale salad was a solid 10/10--great texture and balance of ingredients. The fish taco? A total 12/10! Super crispy and flavorful. If I were watching a game, I definitely would've ordered more! For entrées, my friend and I had the salmon and swordfish. Both were over 8.5/10--delicious, though not mind-blowing, but the portions were very generous and filling. The vibe was cozy with a retro touch. Service was generally nice, though it did vary a bit depending on the server. Overall, I really adore this neighborhood bar. It's definitely a spot I'd come back to--perfect for a date night or just a chill evening with friends

I came here for a lunch date with my husband. The food was great, the service was amazing, staff was so friendly. My husband's phone was dying and they put it on the charger for him. The lemon drop was tasty and the right amount of alcohol. This was my first time having oysters and I loved them. I have been craving them ever since. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

We came here yesterday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was so happy that Lib's Grill was such a delicious and satisfying meal. We started with local beer and the cheese platter. We both adored the cheese platter that came with cranberries, pistachios, warm toasts, and some A-mazing Bleu cheese that I suspected was Stilton but maybe not? The husband got the chicken schnitzel and I had the pistachio salmon. The salmon was really good and served on a bed of mashed potatoes and squash. The husband loved the corn-flake encrusted schnitzel. We were pretty full by this point but HAD to have dessert. The husband had some kind of warm carmel-y cake with ice cream. I had an amazing circular marriage of peanut butter and chocolate-- I could not eat the whole thing and yet decided I could not face it again the next day. I do have some regret about this. :-) Our server, Sarah, was so kind and attentive! We sat outside on a very warm night but she checked up on us regularly. I am looking forward to returning to Lib's Grill in Perry Hall-- there is still a lot on their menu to explore.

Totally love the new fall menu. And looking very forward to fall fun and the best time of year to visit Libs Grill... Christmas. If you think Hampden looks cool on 34th St., you need to check out Libs Grill in Perry Hall because they pull out all the stops. The videos and pics that I'm going to share are from 2024 right after Thanksgiving and they weren't even done decorating yet. This was just their initial decorations.

On the plus side my family enjoyed the ribs and crab balls. On the negative side, the fish in my fish and chips was painfully thin and small. Normally you get a nice chunky piece of fish when you get fish and chips. Not only that, l've never had fish and chips where the skin was on the fish. I left most of the skin behind, but ate some of it because the portion was so small. I had to eat something. Please have the chef look up what fish and chips is supposed to look like. Despite being the only server, our wait person was outstanding - it wasn't their fault that they had to handle the entire dining room. . Also appreciated the carafe of water on the table - but why no ice -had to drink lukewarm water. Make sure to ask for prices upfront and verify-for a single crabcake entrée, we paid $63 when it's advertised online as 30. Let the buyer beware.. I popped in to The Local with one of my friends for a much needed happy hour and we were both in consensus we had to come back to try some other menu items and specials. $7 for the house Sangria and a mule of the day, was a great start to the evening and quite tasty. We both dined on the burger and fries and enjoyed the dish. I would've like a bit of seasoning on the burger patties and maybe a cheddar or American cheese, but that's my personal preference. I asked for the black truffle aioli on the side and that was definitely the way to go to really be able to taste the black truffle. And might I say the aioli was delicious. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The Local offers different specials on various nights and even does live music on Friday nights. This is a great place on the Avenue to enjoy dishes made with ingredients from local businesses and enjoy a delicious meal.

We moved to AZ 7 years ago and quickly learned that there is no such thing as a good crabcake outside of Maryland. A few years after our wedding, the restaurant changed hands and became McFaul's Ironhorse Tavern. Initially, we were a bit concerned but that concern proved to be unfounded! With every trip back to MD, we always tried to stop into McFauls for - yup, a Maryland Crabcake (broiled), an ear or two of MD sweet corn and a cold Natty Boh! (My Dad used to work for National Brewing Co., so the beer choice was nostalgic, but honest! There is NO Natty Boh west of the Mississippi!) Anyway, nostalgia played a role in our choice of dining at McFaul's - but only ever so slightly! Until last night! We arrived at 5:30pm and had our choice of seating. It was a bit too warm to dine outside, so we chose a table for four near the fireplace. Two other tables were being served and the entire restaurant had not hit it's peak customer load! I settled in for my latest crabcake dinner. I chose the single crab cake with two sides. (Dinner: $35.00) but I am getting ahead of myself. Service was slow, waters only came right out and then the wait began. 10 minutes later, our server arrived to take our drink order. Of course, I ordered a can of Natty Boh. I also asked for a glass for my beer. 8 minutes later, the beer arrived (no glass.) Other drinks wandered in, but still no glass for the beer. I drank my water (which was also served in a beer-type glass) and waited. Our server returned to take our dinner order (still no glass!) Orders now placed and my can of Boh still needing a glass, I finished my water and poured (properly, of course) my Natty Boh into my empty, but still cold water glass. I enjoyed the first sip! Ahhhhh! Table talk proceeded and I started to dream of my cake! (BTW - no choice of broiled or fried!) Our server returned with a menu adjustment for one of our guests - kitchen was out of something. Oh yeah, my frosted glass finally arrived. (Too late!) Here's the sad part... our dinners were just so so. My small crabcake was surronded by about 25 fries and a mini Caeser's Salad. I had asked for two cups of cocktail sauce - I received one cocktail sauce and one tarter sauce. I have seen bigger crabcakes in the frozen food section of Giant Food. I was even served a cake twice as large at Camden Yards - of all places - for $28.00! One of our guests that ordered Fish & Chips received a full plate Caeser's Salad and about 50-60 fries (for way less money!) Here's my rap... I was not even mildly impressed by our food, service or ambiance! My, how the mighty have fallen. I will now remove McFaul's (with great sadness) from my "Must Visit When in MD" list! Reasons are as above, but for those that don't like to read all the dastardly details - Mediocre Food, Slow Unattentive Service, and A Tavern Ambiance that sorely needs a refresh! Sorry Folks, but Baltimore has WAY better to offer! SMH!
