Our terracotta tile roof had been great for years, but some really battering rains caused leaks to our garage and one bedroom. I dealt with their general manager Alex, who was courteous, concerned, and efficient. He assigned Anthony to take care of our roof. The offending section of the roof was almost a puzzle. Several roof edges came together and it was tough to "diagnose" what was happening. Anthony kept at it until he figured it out - and ripped what he'd done out after additional rains added to the leaks. He found a flaw from the original roofers who installed the roof. The wooden base had several grooves in it! The grooves were acting as a channel to cause our leak! This was something that obviously was a rare occurrence. We've had several more rain storms since Anthony's final fix - and we're dry! Anthony is a young man with a terrific work ethic! He shows up, keeps working, and is totally courteous and effective in what he does. He is a licensed roofer who is proud of his work and his efforts show that. These days, it's hard to find the level of courtesy, commitment and competence that both Alex and Anthony demonstrate. What a pleasure to deal with them at Castile Roofing! Bravo! Rude arrogant and they think they are above having the customer inspect their work. We had them…read morereplace a roof on a rental property and at first they where very nice. Until I gave them the deposit. Once I gave them the deposit they didn't bother to call me about scheduling anything, two weeks went by and so I called them and they where another two weeks out. They started the job 4 weeks after giving them the deposit and the first day they woke up the tenants at 5:30am to ask if they could use the electricity because they didn't want to use their generator. I was only called out to turn off the power so they could move the a/c units I was never called with progress reports or anything of the like. I was called once they said the job was complete when could they get their check. I told them that I wanted to inspect the roof before I paid them the balance. This is when they got nasty. They accused me of trying to skip out on paying them and threatened to put a lean on the property if I didn't pay them right then. They insulted my and told me they had never had anyone want to inspect their work before. I got the roof inspected and found problems (surprising I know). I emailed them regarding the issues and that they wouldn't be paid until it was done. They repaired the roof and proceeded to insult me some more. Needless to say I will not ever be using this company again. Also if you have used them and didn't look at your roof then you need to do so. You might no like what you see. Also a word of advice, never ever pay a job complete until you are 100% satisfied that the work is done they way you want it to be and always inspect before paying everything off.

When I noticed the damage to the drywall where it had leaked, I thought--"No problem, it has a 10 year warrantee." I just pulled out the warranty and the warranty isn't worth the paper it is printed on. To get a warranty, one has to pay $225 per year for a maintenance agreement. Not a good deal! It seems very misleading to tell the customer that the new roof comes with a 10-year roof warranty and then tell you afterwards that the warranty only applies if you pay an exorbitant annual maintenance fee.
