Everytime I'm up north Red Canoe is a must stop! I got a iced latte with vanilla and cinnamon and it was perfect! Some friends enjoyed the Almond latte, vanilla honey almond milk latte, and a vanilla sweet cream cold brew and everyone loved their drink. We stopped in for the first time this morning on the way further north for a hike, with the intention of finding something filling for breakfast and a little caffeine to fuel the trip. Incredibly glad we checked it out, and we'll definitely be back. The cafe itself is very nicely decorated and has several cute knickknacks for sale, including some mugs that I'm going to have to come back for. I also loved the selection of locally themed books, including items like field/identification guides for local flora/fauna. I didn't catch the name of either woman who waited on us, but they were both very friendly and struck up a conversation the moment we walked in the door. Everything was clean and tidy, and even the bathroom was spotless and very cutely decorated. I loved that it was well stocked with extra items like hand lotion and tampons, which just furthered my impression that the people who run this place pay attention to the small, "just in case" details for their employees' and customers' comfort. We each ordered a breakfast panini -- the "Morning Panini" for my mother and the "Northwoods Panini" (I think that was the name?) for myself, which seemed to be described as a smaller version of the former. Each was a substantial portion, and we definitely won't be hungry or lacking in energy for our hike this morning. To be honest, we could have easily split the larger panini between the two of us and it would have been more than enough. For the price, I think it's an excellent deal/amount of food, and I was happy to pay $12 for something substantial rather than a small, sparse sandwich that you might find for the same price at some cafes. Freshly made, good ingredients, and convenient to take on the go. I substituted in yogurt for chips and was pleasantly surprised to find that it came with blueberries and fresh, crunchy granola, as I'd expected a yogurt cup or something simple. Overall, everything was delicious. My "Summer Bliss" latte -- raspberries and white chocolate -- was delicious as well, and my request for it to be made half sweet was easily accommodated with no complaint. We'll definitely be back, even if it will be a bit before we pass through St. Germain again. Such a lovely start to the morning in a cute, clean, and friendly spot. Wow! This little hole in the wall stop sure delivered! Visiting the area for the weekend and this was one of the only coffee shops open in a Sunday. Remote worker approved! Lots of places to sit, speedy wifi and plenty of outlets. On top of that the breakfast panini with bacon was so delicious. Eggs on it were so fluffy and the two pieces were pretty big so definitely splittable if you aren't super hungry. Service was also super friendly and welcoming. Would come again! read more

So happy to have found this gem a few years back during our annual week at Little St Germain lake, and even happier to find it still going strong this year. So many of our old favorites are no longer. Food and drinks are terrific, service is stellar, and the interior is so comfortable and full of interesting items for sale that we never mind waiting for our order. It's become our spot for breakfast to go at the end of the week before heading home. While in town we heard they were hosting a Trivia Night, and giving out boozy milkshakes as prizes! Six of us came and formed three teams, and we all had a blast. Camille ran the game - it was so fun and the milkshakes were delish! Already looking forward to next summer and will be back for Trivia Night and breakfast for sure! read more

Red canoe is an adorable, small, coffee shop in St Germain, WI. Their inside and outside space is pretty small, so not many people may fit. However, you can always take your coffee to go and hop of the walking trail right across the street. Their coffee is great, both iced and hot have never disappointed. The food is unbelievable and great portions. We've had breakfast and lunch there. The service is friendly and quick. The outside is dog friendly as well. read more

Absolutely love this cute little coffee shop! They also have breakfast and lunch items - I got one of their quiche and it was very good. Also had their paninis before which is also very good! We loved this place! Very tasty treats and coffee. Lattes actually taste like they have coffee in them and do not just taste like sugared milk drinks (like some places). This was my second trip through St.Germain in 2 years. Depending on the day if the week, options for breakfast and good coffee seem to be really limited due to staffing and what seems to be closures. A Yelp search identified Red Canoe as our best option and thank goodness! They had some good food options and the breakfast egg sandwiches we ordered were so big we should have split them.
