Great customer service excellent staff great set up signs up so no need to accidentally stand in wrong line

Imagine finally being in the situation too own a house for the first time in more than 20 years, after years of wondering if you would ever own a house again. Imagine the excitement of quickly finding a good house and the offer being accepted on the house you're buying. Imagine the excitement of getting everything together for qualifying for the mortgage and shopping for homeowners insurance. Imagine the dismay and FUUUUUUU...... of accidentally and boneheadedly shredding the wrong driver's license when you go to pull your ID out of your purse to copy to your mortgage agent and realize your old expired license is still in there. Imagine the ensuing panic. Imagine the gratitude when you find a tag agency with hours after your regular work day, and they're able to fit you in under the wire when you explain your emergency sob story. Seriously these guys saved my life yesterday when all of the above happened and of the other tag agencies I called one didn't even pick up the phone and the other one would have stopped accepting walk-ins for the day by the time I'd gotten down there in another town. Even with the computer issues that red cap was having that day through no fault of their own, they still got me in and out within 2 hours. This will definitely be my backup go-to place and possibly even replace my regular tag agency that I've used since moving here, that for whatever reason didn't pick up yesterday. read more

KIND, ATTENTIVE, & PROFESSIONAL. The Hispanic lady that attended me in my process of renewing my drivers license had the sweetest spirit and always smiled. I also witnessed her take care of other customers with calmness and peace. This was honestly the best experience at any rate agency that I've visited. In the past I have visited two in Bethany that I don't like, one on western and around 104th which was okay but far for me. I sent my spouse here a few months ago after checking every other tag agency within reasonable distance and having absolutely no luck getting an appointment. Places are booked out months in advance, and generally you have to pay to book it. I had booked an appointment (next day, seriously!!) for my spouse, but he said he really didn't even need it. I checked and found on their FB that they've just started doing appointments again, but Wednesdays are for walk-ins, and that was the day I needed. I went in earlier today, walked in at 11:17ish, filled out the form that I was immediately directed to (THANK YOU to the gentleman behind the DL counter today, 9/21, I appreciate clear and concise information), and discovered that I could wait in my car. As someone who is still pretty nervous about covid, I especially appreciated that. I was called shortly after, and was in the car sending my spouse a picture of my new temporary DL at 11:52. For those of you keeping track, that's approximately 35 minutes. THIRTY FIVE MINUTES. That's insane. These other tag shops can't handle twenty appointments in a day, and these people were taking twenty people at a time, no problems. They should be the gold standard, tbh, educating other agencies, because their system WORKS. I will have my new realid in hand soon, but dang, Red Cap, you know how to run this! All I have to say is God bless this tag agency. I needed to renew my drivers license to a real ID and this location was one of the only ones I found that took walk-ins and the ONLY location I found to take walk-ins on Saturdays. Be sure to get there before 10 AM if you want to make the cut off. I got there 20 minutes after opening and waited for about an hour and 20 minutes. They have two machines so it goes a little faster than other tag agencies. You can also call and make appointments without having to come in and pay money just for an appointment slot - a rarity I have discovered on this journey. They lock the doors at 5:30 I drove 20 minutes so I can register my car and I get off at 5. The website and voice mail all state 6pm.

A little while after my car got towed (100% my fault, not relevant to the review...) I managed to get it back. Every agency, business, or organization I had to deal with for this was unapologetically difficult at best, or rude and almost sadistic at worst. after finally being informed that my license plate had been almost purposely misplaced by the tow company, I set out to get a new one. I bothered Red Cap with about 6 different calls inquiring after minute details, and was received with patience and politeness each time. I completed what I could online, called Red Cap once more to ask them to hold my plate for pickup (instead of mailing it out), then made my way to the location expecting an hour or more wait followed by a list of requirements I was not told over the phone meaning at least one more trip to the tag agency on the next business day... Even though it was extremely busy, my number was called within ten minutes. I told the clerk what I needed, then they took my ID, examined it, and swiftly handed over a brand new license plate and registration. I stood there a moment, still in shock, waiting for the other shoe to drop - but they just wished me a nice day and that was it. I give this place 5 stars because I received great customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and informed of the check in process since it was walk-ins Wednesday. I had the option to wait in my car and receive a call when it was my turn. While waiting outside, I called to check on my spot in line and the woman who answered was very kind. She informed me of how many people were ahead of me. When it was my turn, I had the pleasure of working with Brenda. She was very patient and welcoming. Holly was working beside her and greeted every single person that entered. She answered all questions patiently and still remained attentive to the person she was currently working with. I had to update the address on my drivers license and this was the only location that had appointments available. DPS/DMV added randomly that I was deaf. I was able to get it removed after sharing what happened while I was updating my license. I did not want to create any negative experience for the deaf community based on an error. Red Cap had friendly agents and prioritized appointments. With my appt i was able to expedite my process and was strangely out of a tag agency in 10 mins with paperwork, payment, and a new license on the way. This was a pleasant surprise and I have recommended family go to get their needs taken care of by this wonderful staff!!!!!!! read more

Oh my goodness I don't think I can say enough good things about my experience today! I waited a week after my license expired to get it renewed assuming I'd just do it online or walk in somewhere and it would be easy. Well online portal has been down (and I bet they don't even fix that). Then I walked into a place down the road and was quickly informed there are no places taking walk ins and I was basically dumb for thinking so. I called just about every place I could - some were even charging to hold a spot - and wasn't going to be able to get it renewed until it was well past the 30 day grace period. Then I came across this magical place. The woman on the phone was so incredibly kind and told me how to book online and understood my frustration with the whole thing. I walked into the place and all the staff were very nice and seemed to really like their jobs which is so rare anymore. It was incredibly quick and truly such an enjoyable experience! Seriously have never had so much fun getting my license renewed and so thankful to know kind people still exist! read more

Anyone that's tried to do something as simple as get their Driver's License knows how ridiculously difficult it is to even get an appointment let alone have all the proper documents. Not only do they take walk ins, they were super quick and reliable and without them, the soonest I would have gotten my drivers license would be after a month. read more

Tag agencies are usually an unpleasant experience and I know that people who work there are most likely overwhelmed but that does not give anyone the right to treat people poorly especially when you are supposed to be helping people. I called to ask a simple question that I could not find online after searching all morning. The woman who answered would not let me ask the question she just kept saying "I'm with a customer, look online or call me back in 30 minutes" if you are unable to speak to someone on the phone simply don't answer the call. DO NOT answer then blame the caller for your problems without even hearing them out first. I never got to ask my question before the woman just hung up on me. OBVIOUSLY, I called back and got a normal human being, luckily, and it took her 20 seconds to help me. I appreciate her very much and wish I had names to give. I'm sure she would stick out in the office though since she is extremely unpleasant and bitter. I hope someone in charge reads this but I'm sure that won't happen... Anyway, way to ruin someone's day you angry, rude woman who clearly needs to visit Indeed.com... maybe something in pest control would be better for you. read more

Some of the rudest most inconsiderate and condescending people you will ever encounter. You can just feel the air of hatred by walking in the door. If you are Hispanic, they will roll out the red carpet for you but anyone else gets the bum's rush. read more

Would give this a zero stars if that were an option. Went in March of 2017 to update my license and renew my tag. I was told that my tag was not needing to be updated until February of 2018. I was surprised and asked why this was and was told that it was because I have a Choctaw Tribal tag. I just accepted this at face value and was very elated to not have to pay for a new tag for another year. Fast forward to July 2017 where I went in to get a copy of my vehicle certificate of registration. Later in the day when supplying the new vehicle certificate of registration that I was told my registration had expired. So I goto a new tag agency to find out what's going on and then have to pay for a new registration sticker plus an additional $100 as a late fee. I call Red Top to explain the situation and my frustration and see if there is something they would do to help rectify the situation. The manager I spoke to proceeds to tell me I am lying because none of her employees would tell me that. She refused to accept any responsibility for the misinformation I was given, the ridiculous late fee I had to pay, or for the fact I wasn't even told of the expiration while I was there earlier in the day. This place is dishonest and doesn't care about its customers. Avoid at all costs. read more

I visited this location to renew my drivers license. This agency is always super busy, so I took my number and wait approximately 20 minutes for my turn only to be told their system was down state wide and they couldn't renew licenses today! Wish they would have posted a sign so I wouldn't have wasted 20 minutes of my lunch hour waiting! read more

I needed to renew my DL by New Year's Eve and I assumed many other people probably needed to do the same. The tag agency I usually go to always has a LONG line and you need to give yourself a good hour to wait and get your new license. I was pleasantly surprised when arriving at Red Cap that I was the only person there! I didn't have to wait at all and was in and out in about 10 minutes, including filling out the form to correct my address for my voter registration. I was so happy with the experience which I can't really say about my prior tag agency visits. Maybe I was just lucky, but I'll definitely be returning to Red Cap whenever I have to go back to a tag agency! read more

This has been my tag agency for 4 years now and I must say that I've been thoroughly pleased with all of my experiences. All of the staff have been very polite and the wait for any services that I've needed has never been more than 10 minutes. This will continue to be my tag agency going forward. read more
