From the moment I arrived (a bit later in the evening), Kyle met me at the car and made everything feel easy and relaxed straight away. It's a family-run place, and that comes through in a really genuine way. In the morning, Kyle's parents, Kevin and Amy, made breakfast and took the time to chat--it felt natural and unforced, just properly welcoming without being over the top. The room and the house were spotless (which I do notice), but still felt like a home rather than somewhere overly styled. It's clearly been thoughtfully put together--everything looks lovely and considered, without feeling staged or flashy. Just a home that's been really well done and well cared for. Comfortable, calm, and easy to settle into. I found myself slowing down without really trying. Breakfast was a lovely surprise--homemade granola with yoghurt to start, followed by an apple Dutch baby. It all looked beautiful and tasted just as good. Simple, thoughtful, and clearly made with care. The setting is lovely as well--quiet farmland, a pond just across the lane, and that sense of being properly away from things, even for a short stay. I don't often say this, but I've not stayed somewhere that made me feel quite like this before. At this stage of life, I'm usually the one looking after everyone else, and for a moment there, it felt like someone was looking after me. It was simple, but it meant a lot. It's not flashy, but it's very well cared for, and that makes all the difference. I'd definitely go back--next time for a bit longer, and possibly with my family.

My husband and I always feel so welcomed here. Kelly is incredibly kind, accommodating, and inviting. Breakfast is excellent every morning, and they provide a daily charcuterie board to snack on, which is such a nice, thoughtful touch. We also loved that they have a fully stocked, self service coffee bar available anytime, featuring a great variety of coffees, espressos, teas, and even hot chocolate to suit whatever mood you are in. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, this is it. The staff is so friendly, and having spa services available right on site makes it even better. Plus, it is in a great location, just a short, easy drive into Middletown to grab lunch or dinner. This is the perfect place to truly unwind and recharge. They have the most beautiful treatment room and most comfortable massage table I've even been on. The little touches are what put it over the top- the prepared charcuterie in the mini fridge- our preferred beverages stocked, rose petals on the bed, it was all very thoughtful and beautiful. You can tell Kelly takes a lot of pride in the integrity of the historic home and of her business. Ashley was wonderful too, they were excellent hostesses but did not hover and it felt very quiet and secluded- exactly what I needed! I hope to be back and make this a regular weekend or celebratory thing. The room service breakfast was also incredible. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Our very large suite room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Antiques are Rkia's passion, and she has made many acquisitions for the mansion and its rooms. In the morning we were served an elegant egg breakfast in the large dining room. The fruit cup was especially delicious! Rkia told us she cuts it fresh every morning so as to present it at its best, and it arrived in a stemmed glass dish. All in all an enjoyable stay!
