I went with a cake topper and a desert display. She paid attention to every detail of my vision. To make things more complicated, I requested a traditional Mexican desert that was not on her menu. Marianne not only is a culinary artist but her heart is in everything she creates. Ours was a surprise "Zoom" virtual birthday celebration with a tea party theme. Each "guest" received a FedExed (for those out of the county) or hand-delivered to their homes (by Marianne herself) box of goodies plus a tea bag so they could "virtually" celebrate with the honoree. Marianne had the most unique and delicious flavors as we searched for vendors for our wedding, and we ended up choosing a cardamom-flavored cake with swiss meringue buttercream frosting which was a big hit. We also had a dessert station with a variety of cupcake flavors (black onyx, tangerine, lemon) and mini cream puffs-- all equally delicious.
