The best paella our family has tasted! The entire experience is one that you will remember and is like nothing else. Ben is an amazing chef and he comes in prepared and very friendly. His wife is the best communicator and books the event. He arrived on time and will ask where he should set-up. He even serves your guest either at the table or you come to the area to be served, amazing!! It's a phenomenal service. We had a smaller gathering for my mothers-in-laws 74th birthday. She and everyone in the group enjoyed seeing Ben cook the paella and explain the process. It was really nice to bring the Spanish culture and other cultures that contributed to this dish. It was like traveling to other areas of the world in your own home! Plus it felt like a cooking course and full meal all in one. We enjoyed having the food prepared in front of us, it was so authentic and it smelled so good as it was cooking!!! All the ingredients are fresh and the end product was sooooo good. I hired La Paella for my husband's 50th and they did an awesome job. My friends and I had so much fun with Eric and Donna. Eric and Donna were organized, professional, and helpful, from the prepping to finishing. I ordered the longoustine tail, Ahi Ceviche, spinach croquettes, tortilla espanola. Donna made the appetizers fresh on site and they were perfectly made. We couldn't get enough of them. As for the Paella, I ordered the vegan and regular. Eric cooked the paella perfectly from top to bottom. We all know paella has to be cooked even from top to bottom and he did that. LA Paella was hired for my son's 1st birthday last week. Due to all the closures from the COVID-19 pandemic, we didn't know what to expect. Carol, from LA Paella reached back to me almost immediately, and gave us different options and a custom package. This party only consisted of 8 family members, so it was extremely small, but Carol had me rest assured that things would work out. On the day of the event, Benjamin, the chef, arrived on time, and got right to work on the Paella dish. It's no joke that this does take about 1.5 hours to finish cooking, and the presentation was absolutely gorgeous. I felt really bad that Benjamin finished everything, but we were still not ready to eat, due to photo sessions and the cutting of the birthday cake. However, not once did Benjamin rush us, as he stood there patiently waiting until we were ready to be served. At the end, Benjamin was also quite the gentleman, in helping us clean off our plates and even box our leftovers. This may not seem much to some, but these little things really made him stand out. Everyone in my family still raves about them, and I'm kind of stressed right now because I don't know how we're going to top last year's party since LA Paella was so good! They were extremely professional, communicative, and arrived right on schedule. And the paella was so good! We ordered the mixed seafood paella, and several appetizers including the ceviche, meatballs, and bacon wrapped dates, and everything was amazing. Our holiday party was only ~20ish people but they were able to accommodate for our smaller group. They couldn't bring alcohol due to liquor licensing, but they told us what alcohol and ingredients to pick up to make sangria, and then they made an amazing sangria for us as well. This was an intimate event with just our immediate family celebrating a very special occasion -- the seafood paella (and Benjamin!) made it super fun and *extra* special. 2. Carol was very quick to respond to my initial inquiry and clearly communicated throughout the planning process. They enthusiastically accommodated our last-minute booking and scheduling was a breeze. 3. Chef Benjamin arrived onsite on time and perfectly prepared with EVERYTHING. I'm not sure when/how he did his prep and clean up because he worked quietly in the background and didn't need anything from us. He looked very professional in his chef's garb which is a reflection of how professional it all was from start to finish. 4. The paella was AMAZING! Not just a great presentation, not just delicious, but prepared with care and passion that shone through as he explained the history of the dish and the process of making it. Fascinating and entertaining. Everyone loved it -- both the stories and the paella! 5. We signed up for the Paella class and it was so much fun! We learned how to make some delicious Spanish cuisine and were able to eat it along the way. The class was small which really aided in the intimacy - we were able to ask whatever questions we wanted and got to know a bit more about the chefs as well. They were really good at making everyone feel included and took into account people's budgets. Nearly everything used to make the delicious paella could be found at Trader Joe's, who knew it could be so affordable!
