We just used this company for the second time. Earlier we used them to move across town in Tyler, TX, and we just used them today, 9/6/25, to move from Tyler to Bossier City, LA. Both times Elijah has been an excellent communicator. He and his guys have been very professional and have taken care of our belongings, set up our furniture, and worked quickly and efficiently. We began at 7 am and they finished right around 1 pm, including the two hour drive time! We are very thankful for them in helping us move! I would definitely recommend them! read more

Now I will tell you how bad their service was. They came late. JOB was not done properly. They left large mirror in my closet so I had to borrow my friends truck to bring it to new home next day. They left my old bed frame in front of my new neighbors yard. So I had to bring them back to my garage. After Lunch(Of course I paid for their lunch and lunch hour), the mover worked excessively slow. Of course I paid him hourly. They did not finish assembling bed frame, so I had to do it by my self after they leave. But Like I said, The owner has moral issues. Showed up late pulling a van that had a big piece (2'x2') of the body siding torn and just hanging there. Had no masks and then the team leader gave me all kinds of grief about wearing one, telling he the law said he didn't have to. I never knew they hired people who went to law school to move furniture. Law school students, these were not. Took a call to the home office (literally) to get someone to tell him to go buy some masks. When we got to destination (they were late again, got lost) I noticed a dent in the refrigerator they moved which of course they denied doing. At 9 O'clock we started calling the office. "Oh I'm so sorry was that today? I have my men out on another job, we can be there by 12 o'clock. Our next call "0h I'm so sorry there still busy they can be there by 6 o'clock. By this time we decided to wait until the next day. They assured us they would be there by 8 AM. At 10 AM we started calling again. They told us they thought they were with us and had no idea where they were and would get right back to us. We never heard for them and they never answered any calls from us. We finally called another company to move us and because of the predicament Red Carpet put us in they freed up a crew and sent them out within 3 hours. Despite numerous phone calls and five empty promises, Elijah refuses to return our items after they moved us. During the move, everyone was kind and did a good job. We paid them and gave a tip. That's why it is disappointing that they have promised numerous times to return our items, and they never shown up. I am surprised to see some of the negative reviews. I just had them complete part one of a two part/day move and the service was absolutely perfect. Dom and Josh, were on-time (10 mins early actually) knocked out the first half of the move in a matter of a few hours (usually this would have been a 10-hour move which is why I scheduled two days, who needs the stress of a 10-hour move) and they said the second move this weekend would be about the same so their efficiency saved me a couple of hours at least. I would not recommend Red Carpet Moving. The movers were not careful with our belongings and home, constantly banging into walls and doorways throughout the entire move. They charge on an hourly basis but took their time on the move. Although we live in a typical 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, they were still unable to fit all of our belongings in their truck. We had to move the remainder of our belongings ourselves. One mover fell through our attic and left a large hole in our garage ceiling. I realize accidents can happen, but Red Carpet Moving has done nothing to fix the hole. I have called at least 10 times over the last 3 and a half months but nothing has been resolved. They have said multiple times they would call me back the next day/next week to resolve the issue but have not kept to their word and here we are almost 4 months later with no resolve. read more

By Far the Worst moving company I have ever used. Elijah and his wife are completely shady. I kid you not, they broke or damaged more than half of my belongings with no accountability, took a big chunk out of the brand new wood floors because they lack moving skills, nor did they cover my mattresses and and obvious items that needed protection. Watched the clowns throw some of my stuff straight out of the truck onto my gravel driveway. Broke my daughter's kitchen, put a hole in my wall of my new house I bought, and finally my brand new Lazyboy sectional was torn in 3 sections because the idiots didn't know how to hook the sections together. If you Can't do something, I swear you better just admit it before you damage my property. Finally, the priceless part was contacting Elijah and his wife who both pretended to comply and pay for damages, which btw I was waaay to reasonable and only focused on my Lazyboy considering I'm still paying on it. After speaking to them and they promised to reimburse damages, they never responded or answered calls. You better believe I blew up their phones and reported them to the BBB from which btw they are Not Accredited. These are dirty people and they disgust me. (After I used them roll $935 FOR 1 BEDROOM-2ND FLOOR) I gave 1 because; (first off let me say I'm glad we moved our own TVs and computers or they would've either be stolen or broken and not paid for. Nothing was replaced or cared it was broken) ¹ The move was scheduled for 10am and They showed up at 11:30am. ² When they said,, "our tire came off and the 'bolts on the tire came off " at 3pm, it took them until 10pm to make it the 45min to our new place. ³ They charged me for 30min of them sitting watching the rain when they were loading the trailer. They broke and scratched everything we had in their trailer (our food even busted open). When I tried to find the address of the business it googled 3 addresses... I went to the first house and it was very shady in North Tyler. Go figure . There is no address because it is ran out of his house. DURING my visit with him after the move-next day. A female called very drama filled with him, calling over and over upset that she was told I was complaining. He ended up saying "in a way she is my boss". (His female). The team unloaded three storage buildings and made two trips backs to town in less than 9 hours. The guys worked hard and handled everything very carefully. Nothing was broken or damaged. They really know how to pack. We had three trucks deliver our belongings and they were able to move us in two truck loads!! If you have a moving need...give this team a call. There is a complete lack of communication. When they do finally communicate with you they are 100% completely dishonest. They will tell you what you want to hear and then you will not be able to get them on the phone ever again. 2. After US having to call THEM the day before delivery to confirm, Elijah ("the owner") "assured" us that our stuff would be delivered the next day. When we requested a time frame he said 3:00pm. I checked their website and they close everyday at 7:00pm - so I figured that would be the time frame for the delivery. Not only did they NOT SHOW UP that day that we completely wasted waiting for them to show, when we contacted Elijah he did not even answer his phone. At about 6:30pm we called their Dallas office per the instructions on Elijah's voicemail, and a woman (who I assume was his wife) answered and said she would call Elijah to tell him to return our call. At this point it's been 3 and a half hours after the scheduled delivery time. By 6:55pm no one had returned our phone calls AND no one would answer any of the available numbers that we had for this "company", including calling from multiple different phone numbers. Zero communication. 3. We actually had to backdoor this poor excuse for a "company" only to find out that our stuff to be delivered that day had not even been picked up from the warehouse! Complete incompetence. Lies. No words can explain how dishonest this "company" is. 4. While supporting small, local business owners typically stimulates the local economy, if this one went out of business I bet the North Texas economy would actually improve. They are liars. I would give 0 stars if I could. My wife and I used this company in June of 2018. We left a good review despite them being 1.5 hours late. We had a damaged book case that they didn't reimburse us for but didn't mind because we ended up getting rid of them. We decided to try and schedule a move with them this year, hoping for a different outcome. Needless to say, we had a terrible outcome. We booked with Red Carpet Moving Company over a month ago to help our move yesterday (7/11). We scheduled our move at 9AM and called several times since booking just to confirm. 9AM came and went yesterday and the movers didn't show up! We called Elijah several times. At 920AM he said he was trying to get a hold of his group in Dallas. At 940AM, he said they were 20 minutes anway. At 1030AM, they still weren't there. We called several times to keep in touch with what's going on and all Elijah said was he was trying to get ahold of his team still. At 11, he told us "you guys might want to start looking for another company or someone close to help move you". ON THE DAY OF OUR MOVE! Not only that, but since saying this, HE HAS NOT EVEN CALLED SINCE THEN TO CHECK IF WE WERE TAKEN CARE OF OR HAD SOMETHING SITUATED FOR THEIR MISTAKE! It's completely unprofessional. At least take care of your customers. Moving is already a stressful experience. Several people have booked with you and you apparently have no showed with no regard to what this does to a person life. So if you're looking for movers, DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. My furniture was damaged during my move, which should not have happened in the first place, and I cannot get any sort of confirmation that they will pay for the damages. I should have known everything bad would happen starting a few days before the move. The owner will only "text" you to confirm your appointment. NO email confirmation or confirmation number or anything, so unprofessional. Then he texted me a few days before my move asking if the movers could start at 7 am, instead of the original agreed time of 8 am. That was no bother to me so i said yes. I'm not sure how it's possible that Elijah and his crew have a low rating on Yelp. These guys were CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONALS and did a fantastic job for my family. They packed our truck and two trailers so tight; if my wife and I had of done it ourselves it would have taken us easily two 26' trucks and one or two 12' trailers! Do not waste your time with this company. I only wish that I could give them a negative number of stars!! I called them in early May to arrange for help in unpacking a shipping container at the end of June. I spoke with Elijah, the owner, who said that he was going put me on his calendar. I asked him if he needed a credit card or payment to confirm our time and he said that he did not. The day arrived, and 30 minutes after their agreed upon arrival time, I called to ask where my help was. I spoke with his wife, and he called me back. He had no idea that he was supposed to come unload my container. He told me that he would have a crew there in 30 minutes. An hour later, I called and he said that his crew was on the way and would be there any time. It was a large and heavy load, we had scheduled 4 workers, and when I confirmed this, he said he didn't know that. Then 2 hours later, they were still on the way because they had to go back to get the 4th worker!! Then his wife had the audacity to blame me for not scheduling properly, and cancelled the crew because she didn't want me to "be upset with their guys"! I used this company because I read 5 star reviews but my experience was anything but 5 star. It all started when one of the four movers was so incredibly rude to me on multiple times. Then this same mover took it upon himself to relieve himself (had a bowel movement) in my house TWICE! Then after it was all done we had the cable company there hooking everything on and found out one of the movers had crack our 65" Curved Samsung. It happened when he was attempting to disassemble the stand from the TV and was pulling on it instead of sliding it. I heard the crack but thought it was just the plastic so I said nothing. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT USE RED CARPET MOVING COMPANY!! Last year we used them and we were pleased, they were over an hour late but we knew Dallas traffic was rough at times. We decided to book them for our move on July 11th. This move was completely different. I had emailed, and called multiple times to confirm the move and every time we were told that we were good to go for 9AM on the 11th. The 11th rolls around, and they weren't on time, I called Elijah, he told me they were on the way. 10AM and still no movers, called Elijah again, and he said "they are 20 minutes away, they got stuck in traffic." 11AM and still no movers, at this point my calls are being ignored until finally Elijah answers, and tells us that we might as well find different movers because he doesn't know where his guys are and they are ignoring him. How did he expect us to find movers for the same day on such a short notice? He then said, "well, if they ever show up I'll give you a discount." We couldn't wait around all day as we were supposed to be moved out that day. So we had to rent a Uhaul and do it all ourselves which made an extremely stressful situation even more stressful. To top it all off, we didn't hear from Elijah the rest of the day about anything. He said he would help find movers for us, and we have still yet to hear anything back (it's been 4 days since the move). The lack of honesty, communication and control of the workers absolutely astonishes me. READ BEFORE YOU BOOK! Please stay away from this mover. The guys he sent to us back in September were very tired and moved very slowly. We had to help them move our stuff into the truck and out of it FOR THE LAST FOUR HOURS (the whole job was six hours)!!! The guys kept talking and taking breaks and complaining about how much they have to work. The worst part is that they installed our dryer wrong and nearly FRIED THE ENTIRE HOUSE! Thank God that earlier that day we had installed a surge protector!! Needless to say, the surge protector needed to be changed. Our bill to fix their mistake was nearly $400!!! When I contacted the mover, he accused me of lying (even though I had pictures and a signed document from the electrician that the dryer was not properly installed -- which caused it to nearly fry the house). Then, he backpedaled and said that he would have to go through the insurance and assured us this would take a few months. Well, it's SIX months later and he stopped contacting us.
