WOW, I have never been to an establishment where an owner (Sydney, in this case) has been so incredibly rude, apathetic, and snide. I just recently had a baby girl and wanted to treat my girlfriend that hosted my baby shower to a nice spa manicure as a thank you. So, I purchased a Groupon months ago in preparation, made the appt 1 week ago for last Friday evening, and when my friend and I got there after we both had worked a full week (yes, I went back to work after maternity leave), we were so disgusted at how we were treated by the owner. Sydney told me that I never made the appt in the first place, did not even offer to check the appt book to see if she made an error and put us down for the wrong date, and snakily shrugged us off as if we were meaningless! If it wasn't for her already working on another lady's nails, I would have had more 'choice' words with her. It was very appalling, to say the least!! I know I made the appt as I would not have driven from across town on a Friday evening to do so AND had a friend drive, as well!! I can't say how horrible I felt. I was so embarrassed for what was supposed to be a nice treat, go sour for the both of us! I don't know if it was because I had a Groupon and she already was paid for that, 'Pseudo' Sydney was having a bad day, or she just wouldn't/couldn't admit that she POSSIBLY JUST POSSIBLY might have made a human error and forgot to book us!?? God forbid that she should crack a smile, MAYBE apologize and offer to reschedule, or treat us with respect, but Sydney chose to take a lower route and attack me saying that I never called. Right from the moment I entered her "business", she essentially called me a liar. All in all, I will NEVER recommend, attend, nor refer Red Carpet Nails/Sydney to anyone!!!! Please don't allow someone like her to get away with being such a rotten individual with such malice in her bones and expect to run an establishment that takes our hard earned $$$$!!!!!. Business does not work that way and there is a nail salon on every other street corner to go to that will GLADLY take mine and my friends' business and generous tipping. We ended up just driving down Beaverton Hillsdale Highway until we found another nail salon and the owners of HAPPY NAILS/SALON took wonderful care of us w/o appts and at the last minute (we tipped them 50%!!!). That certainly helped the situation and so did my getting a full refund from Groupon this morning (they were closed by the time I called on Friday)!! This behavior further underscores a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and professionalism. I wish I had been aware of these concerns beforehand. Furthermore, the salon's outdated interior design further detracts from the overall experience. In contrast, there are other salons in the area offering modern amenities, such as complimentary beverages and advanced services, which contribute to a more comfortable and professional environment. This highlights a broader issue with the salon's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Given the salon's history of defensive and aggressive responses to feedback, I would not be surprised if the owner or an employee reacts negatively to this honest review. I have had acrylics before but never the stiletto/almond shape. I wanted to give them a try because they look so feminine and sassy. I read some reviews about Red Carpet Nails and I liked what I read and the pictures I saw. I made an appointment with Senath. I was incredibly nervous to try this but it was a great atmosphere. Senath is a seasoned veteran and specializes in the stiletto nails. She was very attentive and gentle. We had great conversation while she performed the service. She was meticulous and a perfectionist about her work and I appreciated that! She also suggested colors that she thought would look good with my skin tone (warm colors vs cool). I absolutely LOVE the result. I would HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone looking to try stiletto nails. I will be a long-term client. Hi Sydney, You are incorrect, & you have me confused for someone else. I did not cancel my appointment twice. I called on June 8th to schedule my initial appointment for a particular day. I checked my phone records. I was only planning on using this deal on a specific day. I couldn't have even made an appointment for the Monday prior as I work full time & didn't have the time off. In response to your comment about having another customer wanting the time I had, as far as I know she/he could have rescheduled to another time. Then you wouldn't be out any money. I am upset that you would respond in the way that you did and make untruthful statements. I tried to be as honest in my review as possible and acknowledge my own mistakes. Thumbs up! My fiance dragged me to this salon on their grand-opening day so she could get double the gift bags they were giving out on selected pedicures as part of their specials. Don't ask me why she wanted two gift bags. Anyway, this was my 3rd time getting a pedicure (in my lifetime) and I have to give high kudos to Hannah, the technician for a pretty awesome leg/foot massage. I won't come as often as my fiance does, but the first experience was worth giving this business a "thumbs up." read more

I've been coming to Sydney for years! Hands down the best salon I've been to. They are always on time for appointments and super flexible getting her clients in. Not only do they do a great job on all their services but they provide beverages so when I come in with the ladies we get to enjoy a glass of wine. In addition to that, the owner offerred food, drink and kept me company while the specialist was working on my feet. I am very happy with the service and ownership. Today was my 3rd time going in to get the Solar Nails (the acrylic type) and my nails are gorgeous! The salon offers a huge variety of colors and designs. She takes her time to make sure my nails are going to be beautiful and durable. My nails lasted 3 weeks with no lift. The salon is very clean and the equipment looks new. Overall I have had 3 great experiences and will continue to go back. read more
