I'm town visiting my Son, daughter in law and new Granddaughter. Staying longer than originally planned and needed a pedicure. I found this place because it was close, and had 4.5 stars. Although they were closing soon, I called anyway. Angie answered and said they were closing but would like to have me visit tomorrow. I explained my schedule while in town and she offered to stay late to accommodate me. That's amazing in itself. The place is not beautiful, and it's a little hard to find. Those are the only negatives. The pedicure was first class and very thorough. Talking with Angie was wonderful. She's is an interesting story, and very nice lady. I highly recommend this place. I have been going to Nail Savvy for years. Today was my first time back post Covid. I had an awesome pedicure! The owner has done an amazing job getting the spa ready for the realities of Covid. They are limiting the number of staff and clients, have installed shower curtains between the massage chairs and they even took my temperature! I was very excited based on the reviews to go to this shop and get my nails done as a treat. While I was mostly pleased when leaving, by the next morning two of the gel layers had cracked and now a few days late another has split entirely and was leaking wet gel. Another looks lumpy so i fear it will split soon too. I already had to go elsewhere to get those two fixed and now will have to go to a salon for the third time in 4 days. I cannot say I would return here, as I have never had this many issues within hours of getting them done. I cannot speak to other services but it was not a good gel nail experience. I've been hesitant to go back to the salon since the whole COVID issue, but I had an ingrown nail that needed to be taken care of on my foot. It was causing me a lot of pain whenever I put shoes on and plus my nails definitely needed a manicure. I called the salon to make an appointment and to ask questions to see if they are abiding by the COVID safety rules, regulations and recommendations. Angie, the owner picked up the phone and explained that they are taking all actions to ensure that her clients safety and health are being met. She even went out of her way to text me some photos of her salon. Based on the photos I felt it was safe to go back in. My experience was amazing! Angie gave me a great foot massage and she fixed my ingrown nail. She explained in details what I should or shouldn't do with them. Apparently, I was cutting it wrong which caused it to grow the way it does then she did my nails. The colors we picked out was beautiful and the work was one of the best I've gotten in a long time! I definitely needed the pampering! Being on lockdown due to the Corona Virus was driving me nuts! For all of you who are worried about COVID, do not be at this salon. This salon is following all guidelines about ensuring our safety. The workers/owner there are just as risk as w are so they are making sure everyone is safe. I saw Angie and her workers constantly wiping down and spraying their furniture and everyone in there wore a mask. The protection she built on her chairs and the plexiglass to separate herself from the customer I greatly appreciate.
