Red Cheese Photo Booth Overall 4.5 Stars Gold medal - Great Service Silver medal - Cute Red Theme Bronze medal - Good Quality Red Cheese was at the recent Yelp event in Irvine. The service was great. The attendant manning the booth was very friendly and nice. Towards the end they were shutting the booth down, but the attendant still RAN to the car to get more paper for us. THANK YOU!! You're the BOMB!! The booth is all red. The pictures come out pretty cute with the red backgrounds. The quality of the pictures were pretty good and clear. You were able to choose color or black and white. That was fun. The booth allowed enough time between each picture, so there was no ugly surprises. You know what I'm talking about when the flash goes off and you're in between poses. Overall they left a good impression with me. If I ever use them for a event I would ask them for a bigger booth and maybe some props. HAPPY SAY CHEESING!! read more

Booth, Booze, & Boobs What do you get when you combine all three of those CLASSY items?? KRISS P. ON A FREAKY PHOTO BOOTH SESH RAMPAGE!! Yes, its true... this review is LONG overdue but I was recently reminded when I waltzed into Yelp's Very Vampy Xmas Elite Event at Alex's Bar and the lovely Elise mentioned that the last time she saw us was @ the STELLAR 2nd Floor event that featured... you guessed it: Red Cheese Photo Booth Rentals!! Now, J was great! We loved him so much that I made sure he was taken care of in the grub department that night. The customer service and eagerness to promote Red Cheese was nothing but amazing. I absolutely recommend giving this business a call to anyone that would like to capture endless amounts of fun loving people having a great time at any given event. You will not be let down! I love the quality of the pictures. You get four shots that come out fairly large. I've seen larger with a brighter flash but for some reason Red Cheese tickles my fancy a little more because the clarity is there but you don't get overwhelmed with the brightness factor. So, it's ok that your drunk out-your-mind or that your makeup isn't SUPER perfect. The borders are thick and their print job on the bottom is clean and not digital or faded like other places. They have their technology down which is EXCELLENT. I know that I only experienced Red Cheese @ a Yelp event, so they were obviously placing their best foot forward, but I'm sure that they will be very accommodating. As long as you let them know what you expect and want (policy on requesting extra prints, scrap book, props, etc) then I don't see why you would have any problem with them. I look forward to using their service someday soon! :) read more

J is the MAN.... We met J at a YELP Event last nite and he was so nice and funny. I've seen and used so many photo booths from previous parties, company events and some randomness and his booth sure is the FASTEST booth take in all of OC...well the FASTEST I've used in OC. The line moved so fast becuz the cameras were clicking away. LOVE it. I'm going to referred Red Cheese Photo Booth to anyone I know asking about photo booth becuz "J is the Man!!!" The quality of the photo is crisp and rich with colors. I love the red backing with the black borders around all four photos! Look at the photos provided and judge for yourself, but I am a fan! Each photo you take, you get two hard copy. The best would be going in duos, but you can fit in about 6-8 people if you really SQUEEZE! Staff was awesome and kept the loooong line going! Bonus, the company provides ID code for you to download the photos on the same night! No lag time, awesome!!! PS, find someone to hold your drinks because they are pretty strict on not allowing beverages in the booth :) read more

Worst photo booth I've ever rented. They showed up two hours late, with no notice. I had to call multiple times to check on their ETA and assure they weren't flaking. When they did show up the two attendants were rude, very unhelpful to guest, and left you feeling unsure if you are to receive photo strips or not since they were too busy sitting there on their phones. The actual photo booth looked like something they threw together with duct tape, and the photo strips were poor quality. The only reason I'm comfortable giving the one star on this review is because (1) I have to and (2) they finally showed up. After waiting two hours I was sure they were a fake company just stealing my money. Really disappointed. read more

What can I saw about this red cheese box? :D It is one of the firsts photobooth to come out! That's kinda cool to hear. One of the firsts! I've actually used their box many times - not ME actually hiring them but I've been to SO many events with them there. NYE 2010 at Katsuya - OMG, I was so drunk for that. We were able to fit about 9 people in the box. It was madness... but when you drink - SO many possibilities. Yelp Events - I've been in them for Yelp events. Fits a good amount - and I'm sober during yelp events (because it's a weekday or Sunday). BOOTH: It'd fit 4 max comfortably. Unless drunk, then many many people. Trust me. I know. The only problem is you don't know where the photo will take til after the photo is taken, so you can only adjust during the second photo. Make sure you don't have your face too close to the camera. PHOTO QUALITY: Color and B/W Option The photos come out really clear - HD. It prints in TWO too. You can also access your photo online with the code on the bottom of the printed photo. So it's all private - good stuff. The print quality is really good too. Like a real photo taken. SERVICE: Jay is cool! He's hilarious. He's very serious about his booth business. He kinda remembered me from the NYE because I am a photobooth whore and I think I was at that photobooth a lot. That was hilarious! NOTE: Celebrities have used this photobooth. read more

Best Photo booth company . . . EVER. I have seen a lot of photo booth pictures from the numerous weddings I've worked while in catering and the quality of the their images are top notch. They have a lens that can capture your whole party. Two copies print at the time you take it and at the bottom there is a ID # you can use to go onto their website and retrieve the image then print it out at Costco!! And Jay who was at the Katsuya event manning the booth is super nice. We all loved him! Thank you! read more

Red Cheese and Jay are amazing! We had them for our wedding two years ago and our friends and family still can't stop talking about how much fun they had! One of the biggest fun factors of the evening was the photo booth, everyone took a turn, from 8 year olds to 80 year olds, everyone was clamoring to get their turn. at my wedding last weekend, it was such a big hit! open bar + RedCheese photobooth= tons of fun and great goofy photos! We had over 1,000 pictures when we got the CD. I knew I wanted RedCheese at my wedding after attending a friend's wedding who had it. It's just fun and keeps the guests entertained! So, at a bridal show, a few of us brides booked through Jay- who is super awesome- and gave us a great deal! Even in this economy, I could NOT afford to NOT have RedCheese photobooth at my wedding! I was willing to compromise on other things at my wedding, but not this- it's worth every penny! from young to old, everyone had a blast with the photobooth!!! read more

So, I'm about 6 months overdue for this review, but man, these guys did a great job at our wedding back in June. We even got to use a customized banner at the bottom that goes with the logo and graphics used on our wedding invitations, so that was a nice touch. I just wish we had enough time to have taken more than one trip to the booth, but oh well. My wife and I had seen their work before at a wedding reception we attended and we knew we had to use them. It was a hit with all the guests and the kids loved it. I also liked the fact that they gave us a disc with all of the photos as well. Some of them were quite interesting to say the least. I guess they thought nobody else would see the pics? Shout out to Jay and Red Cheese and the people who made our disc of photobooth pics even more priceless. Highly recommended. read more

Before we ever booked our wedding venue, florist, caterer, etc... my (now) husband and I booked Red Cheese Photo Booth for our event! NO WAY! ~ you may think..but it is true, you have but to check out our contract and see all the "to be determined" areas if you don't believe it. CRAZY! ~ you may think...on this one I can't argue, but what I can say is that it was definitely a decision we did not regret! We learned about Red Cheese at a wedding vendor's meeting that we accidentally happened to stumble upon (fate I tell you FATE!). After meeting with their incredibly friendly staff ( which of course we initially thought were just being nice to try and get our money hehehe) we knew we wanted a booth for our wedding (we had to play it cool though, you don't want to look too willing to fork out the cash haha) we just didn't know when and where. With time, we booked all the other wedding vendors needed to make a wedding and it all came together in Irvine on August 29th, 2009. Red Cheese was a complete crowd pleaser! (as we had hoped for) The staff was unbelievably punctual and professional, though still fun, friendly, and entertaining to our guests, not to mention on the ball with the technical stuff! (the booth was up all night without any interruptions in service) They took care of everything from explaining to guests how the booth worked, to encouraging them to use props (like funny hats and glasses), and even helping them create a memorable scrap book of photos for us! (THANK YOU RED CHEESE, you guys were a delight!!!) Oh! and did I mention how incredibly fun it all was?!?! There is something about being, seemingly alone, in a small place with a camera that just brings out the silly in people! It loosened up my guests, started conversations, filled the room with laughter and overall ensured that all of our guests, including ourselves, had a fabulous time! We all got to see sides of people we did not even know existed...and even some we should never know existed haha I will always treasure the pictures I got from the Red Cheese photo booth and wouldn't trade them for anything!!! It was an amazing night filled with phenomenal memories. We endlessly tried to beat the Red Cheese biggest group photo record which now stands at 13 people...though to no avail, we still had some terrific fun! Another thing I think is important to mention (before I forget) is that while my hubby and I were meeting wedding photographers we ran into another company that was doing photo booth rentals (they had left a business card and a sample of their work for the photographer we were meeting in hopes that he would recommend them to couples getting married), lets just say that we were appalled by the photo quality of that sample!!! Red Cheese's photo printing quality was at least 10 times better than this other place and Boy-Oh-Boy were we happy we did not land on this other place first and signed with them! I guess we got truly lucky and landed on a company that really knew what they were doing, as they should considering (we later found out) that they were the first mobile photo booth rental company (EVER!) and they were fully insured! With all that being said...bet you don't think booking them first for our wedding was so CRAZY after all... well it still was but luckily, with a company like Red Cheese there was not much we could have done to make it all go down wrong. Finally, I will make one last suggestion, if you decide on going with Red Cheese, use Red Cheese's box of props or bring your own hats, glasses, halloween costume accessories or anything else that could be used as a prop, your guests will LOVE IT and you will love the incredible pictures you are left with when all the wedding vendors are packed up and the night is over! read more

A photo booth seems to be a must-have at weddings nowadays, but when my husband and I were looking for one several years ago, they weren't as plentiful. So we ended up going with Red Cheese, and even with all the newer photo booth companies around right now, I still think we got the best one. A basic booth was about $1400 and the deluxe (which comes with a CD of your pictures and a custom banner on your prints) was about $1750. Pricier than some other booth companies, I know, but well worth it. I've seen the quality of several other photo booth places, but something about the lighting of Red Cheese makes you look fantastic. It's like immediate air-brushing! So who cares if you're getting a cheaper deal with other companies when you're not going to look as good? What I like about Red Cheese: - You can choose between color or black & white photos. - Live view screen. I hate when some booths don't show you where you are and so the first shot is wasted trying to position yourselves in the photo. - They give you a code on each picture so that you can view/save your picture online, which is great when you cram seven people into the booth and then have to decide which two get to take the photos home. This way, everyone can get a copy. Now I know some people won't like this about Red Cheese: - As the name suggest, the booth is red. Other places you can change the background. - No props (hats, glasses, feather boas) or scrap-booking. I don't care for that kind of stuff myself, but I know a lot of people have fun with them. The on-site technician was great, and let me stress again how good everyone's pictures came out with Red Cheese. Definitely a crowd pleaser. read more

I had these guys come out for my wedding! There was a line out the photo booth door the entire time! It was especially a hit with the kids! We used this as one of our guest favors. Not only do people LOVE taking pictures of themselves, but we paired that with our wedding! At the bottom of each guests' photo, our names and the wedding date were printed! George was a great host as well! He stayed there and made sure everything was working properly including having enough film for everyone! Red Cheese hosted all the pics on their website for 30 days afterwards, as well as provided us with a CD with ALL of the photos! The best part was that many of our friends didn't know that we were getting copies, so we had quite a few "moons!" read more

I hired Redcheese Photobooth for my wedding and it turned out to be a blast. We had it sitting right outside the reception hall so people could line up without disturbing any of the tables. People kept coming back for seconds and thirds and just having a good ole time with it. We got way too many pictures of some old guy though. But still, we love the unlimited pictures and got the full resolution photo DVD to add to our picture collection for that day. We also set up goofy props and were pleasantly surprised by all the funny poses and faces. Holy crap! So, hilarious! There was always a line for it. In fact, there were so many nice photos, we feel it was well worth the price. It was great for something for the kids to do and the adults loved it too. Got invited out to a client's company-holiday party. Our web designing actually boosted their sales far past their expectations so these guys went all out!! One of the most interesting parts of the party was an actual RENTED photo booth!! I was amazed as I have (of course) seen these photo strip booths at like Catalina or arcades or Venice or something, but not at a company holiday party?? lol Needless to say, once the liquor started kicking in (I wasn't drinking), I noticed that booth was getting to be one of the MUST-DO's of the party. It started off with two or three people heading in to take some zany shots, but soon it became something to the likes of a clown car. Lol.. people were cramming themselves in just to take the wackiest pictures ever. It was ay-close to being an adult JUMPER--- Good times! read more

"Whose elbow is jabbing me in the butt?" Ah, the sounds of photo booths and friends. Red Cheese did a great job with their photo booth at the OC Bacon event. I am almost positive Kenny L. and I were the first to break her in, posing with our chocolate-covered bacon. After that, there was a long line for the rest of the night, with as many as 6 people crammed in there. The owner, Jay, was a cool guy and when it slowed down later, he even gave us tips on the best poses and where to sit exactly for the best shot. Oddly enough, I think I met him a couple years ago, when he did a great job at Erotica LA. I still have that photo too and it's a fave! read more

We used this photo over this weeked and it was a blast. Our church members loved it. It was by far the most in demand during our anniversary celebration. It was a BIG hit. The photo booth worked without a glitch. The most impressive part was the service. They were very accomodating. They extended their time for another 30-45 minutes beyond their agreement. read more

This past weekend was Biola University's Homecoming Weekend celebration. I planned our first ever "Sweetheart Banquet" where we invited alumni who had met and married at the university back to the campus for a special dinner, and encourage them to attend other Homecoming Weekend activities. We booked Jay with Red Cheese for the banquet, and I am SO glad we did! All of our guests, from newlyweds to those celebrating 50 years of marriage, LOVED the booth. Jay was great to work with, and made using the booth super easy for our guests. Having the actual photos to take home was a highlight for all our couples. We will definitely be planning more events Red Cheese (and Jay!) in the future!! read more

As a wedding planner, I can always count on Red Cheese and Jay Tan to deliver great photos and fun for my clients! Not only do guests walk away with a personalized momento of the event, the Bride and Groom have a record of all the guests attending the wedding as well. One unique aspect of Red Cheese is that the guests outside of the booth are entertained by seeing what's going on inside the booth via a display monitor located on the exterior of the booth. Jay and his staff are always helpful with advice on posing for the pictures and assisting with creating the wedding scrapbook pages. I also love being able to customize each photo with a personal logo for my clients. Needless to say, Red Cheese is my photobooth of choice and they were even present for my own wedding! read more

Red Cheese is as good as it gets! Jay not only has hosted a booth at our wedding, but at a second and third celebration too..and all in 6 months! That's how much we love red cheese and Jay! I am somewhat of an anal-retentive type and Jay put my stress at ease. He was on time to all the events, super accommodating and even offered to take family photos when we were short a camera man! The photo booth is amazing! I can't tell you how many photos people took! Our friends are still talking about how much fun they were...and what an awesome way to get an instant memory book! The pictures are so funny!!! We still can't believe how many people fit into that booth! HA! We still laugh at them! DO NOT CONDUCT ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. PERIOD! If you take the time to look at the reviews that are positive, they are out of date and you will see many complains with negative reviews post 2014 and ongoing. This company took our money back in October 2015 and never delivered our product. Afteer contacting them numerous times with email and phone call which was ignores. I placed a call inquiring about their service and was given a call right away by a person named "Ryan" who said he was going to check the status of our order and said he will respond back to the email that was on file. Never did that. Disputing this with our credit card company for services not rendered. DON'T BE AN IDIOT AND GET SUCKERED IN GETTING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY. FULL SHADINESS AT IT'S FINEST. read more

I was a guest at an intimate "high tea" at the Peninsula Hotel today. Aside from the fact that it was just wonderful, Jay and the Redcheese photo boothe was a BIG HIT. I love this concept. It worked for everyone! From the oldest to the youngest, everyone was just enthralled with this booth. Lots of people took several sets of pics. It was GREAT! I am a principal of a middle school and I am definitely renting it in the future. Jay did a great job. He was personable, helpful, and not intrusive at all. He was there to man the booth and that's what he did. read more

And thanks for making sure we didn't miss out on the fun too!!! Review: Pixel photo booth was a pleasure to work with. They were professional, courteous, and prompt. Diep was the main e-mail contact and she was quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. They arrived on-time, set up was quick, and their props were fun and sturdy - and lasted through the night! Their photo quality was great and the color was on-point, no one turned out greenish or orange-ish. We had them for both the FLIP BOOK and PHOTO BOOTH and our guests LOOOOVED it and had a blast taking multiple photos and making books! The prints were fast and you did not have to wait too long for them. The attendants kept everything running smoothly and efficiently. They upload all of your photos super quick and it was ready the next day for viewing on their website. They also give you a personal link to download all of the photos for your own personal album. They allow you to bring your own backdrop, if you choose, which worked out best for us. You also get to work with Shannon, their design person, and she was easy to work with and did a great job customizing our photo layout and flip book cover. Another bonus, my now-husband and I were so busy running around that we would have forgotten to make a flip book and take photos if they hadn't reminded us to. THANKS! I would definitely use them again if I have some future event that needs photo booth or flip book services. I highly recommend them for any event!

But, depending on when you go, you might need to do a few laps around the block to find a spot. When we went, it wasn't super crowded. There are so many photo booth options. You line up for the photo booth that you desire. Maybe max 2-3 groups in front of us, but it goes by so fast. I would say max 5 min wait per booth. They have digital booths which print instantly and have a QR code so you can save the pictures digitally. And they have vintage booths which take 2-5 minutes to print and there is no digital copy. Be prepared! Once you pay, it takes your pictures so quick. Each booth also has a slot for you to put your phone to record. The people managing the place were nice. You line up at the door, and they ask which booth you want to go to first. They will guide you to the booth. After that, you can go to whichever line you want. There are sooo many options. Digital booth was $4/session/1 strip only. Vintage was $6/session/1 strip only. I highly recommend this place as a quick and fun activity for those who enjoy photo booths!

They are extremely communicative, punctual, and have some of the best rates around town--which is a win when you're already spending a small fortune trying to entertain a bunch of wild kids. A driver brings the jumper, sets the whole thing up, and comes back to haul it away when the party is over (because who wants to stare at a giant inflatable after a party mustering up energy to dissemble and store it).
