My true opinion of this place. Looking for nice Chinese takeout and gave this place a try. Ordered an order of chicken wings, came in 3 piece of drumsticks and 3 piece of wing pieces. Which equals to only 3 whole wings compare to other places of 4. Got a large chicken and broccoli which came in a container with a shorter bottom which may be comparable to a small size. Totally can not compare to the food quantity to other places with the same price. Portions are obviously smaller, did not even feel half full after finish with the wife. As in taste, it's ok. As far as I am concerned Red Chopsticks is the best Chinese food in the area. The food is amazing and only surpassed by the family that owns and runs the restaurant. I have had many of their dishes and not one was lacking in any way! In fact, they go above and beyond to make sure your order is correct and you are happy in every way. It all starts with your order being taken by a friendly and always happy owner. I have never seen her down or short with a customer. This restaurant serves vegan options and regular options which is a plus if not everyone in your circle is vegan. That being said, I got the vegan sesame chicken and my boyfriend got the regular sesame chicken and he loved both. He said the vegan sesame chicken might even be his favorite! I love that we happen to come in right before closing and the food was still impeccable. It is a little on the pricer side but they give huge portions so I understand. It also tastes pretty healthy! The Massapequa/Seaford area has a lot of Chinese takeout places, but most are either too greasy and/or have no flavor, so Red Chopsticks is the only place I'll go to. Minus 1 star though because they make their vegetable soup with chicken broth and also because the spring rolls are always pretty bad. They taste like they had been pre-fried, then sat in a fridge or freezer for a few days, then fried again when you order them. Spongy, greasy, and just not appetizing. read more

Ordered beef chow fun one wonton soup and an order of string beans with chicken. 43.oo bucks. A bit expensive and definitely not worth it. Soup broth was good wontons extra thinly wrapped mushy noodle crumbles when you pick it up a small tasteless lump of meat inside.soup gets 2 stars. Chow fun again noodle mushy the oil they used tasted old or spoiled after a few bites the nauseous wave came over me. Chow fun gets 2 stars. Last string bean with chicken dish. Large amount of string beans very little amount of chicken in strips.Again the oil had an undertone of being spoiled, or old . It had red pepper flakes on it so it was spicy after a few bites my partner was nauseous. That dish I give 1 star to. Delivery was fast food was hot upon arrival. Mim & her coworkers are far & above any other Chinese take-out on Long island. They do mostly the same options you'd find @ any other Chinese take - out but that is where the comparison stops! Name your fav item & if they do it I bet you will find it to be the best you have ever had! My Husband is a Chicken Chow Mein Fan...he likes it w'white meat & that's the only way it's done here...menu actually says "all white meat chicken"! he is over 70 & likely had this dish more than 75% of the times he has eaten Chinese food & we've been here @ least a dozen times & each time he says he can't believe how much better, fresher, nicer pieces of chicken, etc., etc. compared to ANY other he has had EVER! I'm Vegan & after YEARS of asking if a Chinese place does "General Tso's" or "Sesame" Tofu as the only option, here is a place that makes it's own 'vegan' chicken, sure it's 'soy' chicken but it makes the end product so much closer to the 'real' thing! They have 4 vegan options & I've had them all w'the "Vegan Chicken Chow Man Fun" being by far my fav, though all are delicious. Every time I come here, I'm always greeted with a smile. My boyfriend and I go to Red Chopsticks because they make amazing vegan Chinese food! Chinese was one of my favorite meals before going vegan, and I definitely missed it. It was always so hard to find a place that didn't use chicken broth or fish sauce in their tofu dishes. We live in North Bellmore and have tried more than 10 Chinese restaurants in our area. Every restaurant was awful. We had "pork fried rice" that was yellow rice, scallion pancakes that were grease balls, chicken chow mein with no chicken. You name it we had it. We were giving up on eating Chinese food until we saw a review on Red Chopstick & even though it's in Massapequa we decided to try it. If you are looking for real Chinese food you have to try this place. Everything we have ordered from there has been excellent! The people who run it are pleasant & know what they are doing. It's not a big place but we take out so that doesn't matter. I cannot say enough about how good this food is. We now eat Chinese food once a month. Definitely worth a trip to check it out. read more

The food is very good.I haven't tried much yet,but plan too in the near future.The Chicken and Broccoli is very flavorful and lightly seasoned.The fried rice is very good as well,you can get it in plain fried without the meat and veggies,and the original fried rice with pork and or chicken.Steamed broccoli is cooked perfectly as well. Food took longer than what was originally said, but wasn't a problem. Portions are large and the food was piping hot. I got my usual chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce, it was ok. A little saucy for my liking, needed more chicken and they threw in a bunch of other vegetables. I luckily like veggies just a bummer that there wasn't a lot of the eggplant and chicken which is what I really wanted. White was was very sticky and hard to get out of the container. Eating healthy in a Chinese take out restaurant is possible. Their steamed chicken and mixed vegetables order is really good. They offer a side of sauce but in my opinion, it's not necessary. The chicken is all white meat and no funky textures like other places I've tried. Add duck sauce and/or hot sauce if you're still looking for a sauce and want to avoid the "brown sauce". Their wonton dumplings in the wonton soup is one of the best ones I've tried. They don't skimp on the pork stuffing in these dumplings either. Their other items such as boneless spare ribs, chicken and shrimp hunan, Singapore chow Mei fun, and regular 'ol chicken and broccoli are good - no complaints. The owner is super nice and friendly.
