Have gone to Wah Wah many times and have never been disappointed ..their chicken and broccoli is amazing...chicken is tender and the sauce is not overly salty...it is just delicious. If you're thinking about going to that other Chinese place, just don't! Go here instead! I've been to many different Chinese spots in the area (and in other areas) and none compare to the freshness and flavor of wah wah kitchen. They have the best, most flavorful wonton soup I've ever had, with tons of pork and cabbage in it that's chopped fresh. Their general tso's chicken and chicken and broccoli dishes are perfectly cooked without those weird chicken pieces you sometimes find at other spots and wonder if you're actually eating chicken. Also - the egg rolls! So so good, because we all know there's nothing worse than splurging on Chinese food only to get a gross tasting egg roll. I also don't feel like death the next day like I do when I eat Chinese from some other places, so that's a plus! Been going here consistently for many years. They just made a mistake with my order. Refused to rectify it whatsoever. I told them they were losing a customer. They didn't care. There's better food to be had, this was just the most conventions. Wah-Wah is my go to spot. Cam (owner) is a light- always smiling and happy to see us. My fave dish is not on the menu (broccoli with black bean sauce) and I usually pair it with spare ribs and some veggie fried rice. I knew what I was getting into when I walk into any American style Chinese restaurant but this place was highly recommended. I ordered the Mongolian beef and headed home, but I do give them credit for there setup during this pandemic since it's contactless and you stop at the door. I opened the Mongolian beef and it smelled great but it was missing a huge aspect and that is flavor. It tasted like nothing. Everything was cooked really good but it was flavorless. We all ordered different things (chicken & broccoli, chicken chow mei fun, pork fried rice, egg foo yung) and we think maybe the chicken wasn't fully cooked in anything we ordered, but one family member still got sick and didn't eat any chicken. Tried the General Tso's Chicken Combination plate and Pepper Steak Combination plate. The General Tso's chicken was sweet but not spicy enough. The Pepper steak didn't have a lot of flavor. My wife and I order from Wah Wah a least once a week. We've been ordering from them for over 10 years, and we haven't been disappointed. The guy who delivers knows my address and when he shows up we have had great conversations over the years. The food is great. the soups are first rate, because of dietary issues we ask for some special from time to time and they are always willing to go the extra mile, (even the delivery guy!) First time here & I would never recommend this place at all. I ordered shrimp and it was NOT thoroughly clean. You could see the black on the back of the shrimp which is the digestive track from the shrimp. Been going here for years. Used to live in amityville but moved to Lindenhurst a few years ago. We still go out of our way to pick up from here. Being from long island, I've had my fair share of Chinese food. This place is one of my favorites. Update: 3 years later, it seems the quality of food has diminished somewhat. Several of our most recent orders tended to be dry and not up to the standard we've come to expect from Wah Wah. We have started to look elsewhere for our go to Chinese food. We order from this place every Friday. The guy who often takes our order AND delivers (I think he owns the place), I swear he's the hardest working man on Long Island. He always delivers with a smile, no matter how hectic things get. I've tipped him a few extra dollars before and he actually told me "this is too much" and tried to give me some of the money back. WHAT?! Oh and the food is awesome. It's the freshest tasting takeout I've ever had. I have a cousin who lives in another state and whenever she comes she MUST have Wah Wah's the first night. I am originally from Flushing, Queens...need I say more? Believe me, I am fully aware of Chinese food. Not only is the food fresh, and the people wonderful to deal with, the food is always tasty and delivered within a very reasonable time. This family owned operation is so pleasant, that I couldn't find my credit card one night and they said "they would get me next time". How often does that happen?? Being from Massapequa, I have passed up on many local chinese food places nearby and prefer travelling to Amityville to eat what I like. I really don't get all the positive reviews. The boneless spare ribs were good but everything else we ordered had zero flavor. Barely any salt or other seasonings. Plus they're a bit pricy compared to the other chinese restaurants in the area. Only positive I have for this place is that the food did taste and smell fresh; Sun Wah or Zheung Xing in Copiague have better food. :( read more

Fried rice was SUPER oily. Ordered vegetable fried rice which had mostly cabbage and a few peas and carrots. Dumpling sauce is not the normal sauce you get at most Chinese restaurants. With so many other Chinese restaurants in the area i will definitely not be returning. read more
