We tend to rotate around for Chinese food but recently came back to Jin Fu Garden. Their soups, spring rolls and cold sesame noodles are all very good. Sesame chicken is a family favorite and i like having choice of different rices to go with mains. Be aware there is an upcharge for fried rices, but that's not a big deal. read more

I ordered from here by accident thinking I was going to try the other Chinese place a few doors down. Three of us got takeout from here and we were able to be disappointed in multiple dishes in one sitting. Crab Rangoon, soggy. Scallion pancakes - burnt and very small portion. It looks like they picked some char off, but should have started over. General tso, soggy, zero heat, sauce needed salt. This is not general tso sauce... See next food. Sesame chicken. Same sauce as general tso. They added sesame seeds to this dish and peppers to the other. They are not the same dishes. Vegetable Fried rice. Wasn't fried at all. This was steamed rice tossed in oil. The vegetables were barely noticeable and looked like they used a bag of mixed vegetables from the supermarket and tossed them in. The rice was flavorless and of course had zero wok hei. Pork egg rolls, very small and hard to find any sort of meat. They should call this a cabbage roll. Spring roll, around the size of my pinky. Also poor filling. I hope they don't rip off the landlord when they go out of business. I'm wondering what store will be in this strip mall when this happens, hopefully soon. read more

It's Christmas Day and we are looking for some good Chinese and sushi. Landed in Jin Fu. Decided to give them a chance. Ordered: Chicken and broccoli: pleasant sauce. Chicken cooked well. Broccoli not over cooked. Could use more flavor. Chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce: also well cooked. Tastes good but light on flavor. Hot and sour soup: certainly hot! Packs a pleasant punch. Great flavor. Tom yum soup: exciting flavor! Packs heat, sour notes, popping with flavor and 2 huge shrimp! Butterfly roll: yummy! Super spider roll: expertly rolled. Surprising pop of flavor (unlike some other places which are very dull) Also worth noting, ordered online. System said 90mim to get food. Phone rang immediately after that popped up to say that it would only be 45min. The young lady who answers the phone and called me back was extra polite and sweet. Very pleasant to deal with. Unlike other places that barely understand you and sound rude. If it wasn't for the food then I'd be tempted to do business with them just because of the customer service. They said 45 min. Meant food would be ready around 6:15. I showed up early. They handed me my bag at 6:16. I mean woah. To be that precise on the time estimates! In short. Soups and sushi are the best parts. You know Jin Fu Garden is banging when my husband names it the best Chinese food in Long Island and he's a tough critic! Their food is perfectly salted, not too sweet and just right. While being quarantined, I figured I would support a local business. Been wanting to try the food here for a while, so it was time. Wasn't really sure what I wanted. After looking over the menu I decided to share wonton soup, an egg roll and moo shoo chicken with my mom. Soup was yummy. Wasn't traditional wonton soup as other veggies were included; spinach and bean sprouts. Broth was a little darker and wontons were smaller than usual. Either way it was super tasty and there 8 (possibly even more) wontons in a quart. I enjoyed the flavor a lot! Egg roll was decent. Wasn't as greasy as your typical egg roll. Flavor was there...just wish more pork was inside. Moo shoo chicken had excellent flavor! Wasn't greasy either. There was a lot of chicken, which is a rare occurrence when ordering this dish elsewhere. The wrappers were good too...they weren't as thin as most places, which is a huge plus! I'm such a fan of baby bok choy that I was excited to try Jin Fu Garden when I saw it on the menu. It was easily the highlight of $60+ in takeout, even if it was hard to accept a plate of steamed veggies was $12.50. The pepper beef and chicken with cashews were both ok, but was hard finding the meat. The lettuce wraps had a good flavor, but there was barely enough for an appy for 1, let alone 2. I can honestly report this wasn't just the worst won ton soup ever... it really didn't deserve to be called anything more than a mediocre dipping sauce. The won tons were not good, and to add insult to injury, what looked like home made fried noodles on pictures, was nothing more than the average bag from anywhere. Sorry, expensive and mediocre means no 2nd visit. read more

It's our go to place when we crave American Chinese takeout food. Common dishes we order are egg foo young, wontons in chili oil and lo mein. I also like their garlic eggplant. Their egg foo young has the least grease we've had. Food also isn't laden with salt or sugar. In our last order, we tried the orange chicken. It was a pleasant surprise. There were actual pieces of dried orange peel in the dish, which gave the dish a mild aromatic flavor. Though we usually don't have fake Chinese food, this the place we go when we tire of real Chinese food. We're also adding the orange chicken to our repertoire. read more

I have ordered from other Chinese restaurant in my area but hands down this is the best. The food is never greasy and it is full of flavor. There soups are second to none and there menu can satisfy any taste from traditional Chinese food to Thai and Japanese. There sushi menu is extensive. Although they are a bit more money wise than other Chinese food places it is worth it. Food is always delivered on time and hot. I strongly recommend you order from here it will not disappoint. read more

The first reaction you'll get from looking at the store front is that it's a regular takeout Chinese restaurant but that's where you're wrong! The interior is clean and comfortable. There is also parking out front so that's always a plus! I came here because I heard good things about it after a few changes were made to the place and I was not disappointed. The food is worth because you get a large amount for the price you pay. It's really filling and I usually order different dishes to share with the table. Even though it's a chinese place, the food resembles Thai food, like the noodles I got reminded me of pad thai. read more

The Chinese Food here is old school NYC China Town. The family is from main land China. It is excellent. Not sugar laden, MSG fast food like the Chinese food we too often experience here on LI. This is a sit down restaurant and take out. My waitress, May was polite, fast and courteous as was Chen. May's husband, The Chef, prepares meals worthy of The Emperor of China. They are delicious. even the fried noodles are homemade. Seafood soup, Fried calamari, fried dumplings a definite favorite. Roast Pork fried rice as we remembered it years ago. Awesome! This place is local and family owned and operated.y husband and I have a great relationship with the lady who works there. She said all her ingredients are fresh and I believe that is why this place has such tasty food. Everything we have tried we have loved. Every person we bring here loves something. Haven't been here since has new owners and that is a long time! Don't know why we waited so long! Food was absolutely delicious! Wonton was so full of flavor. The seafood rolls and pork fried dumplings amazing! I ordered Shrimp in Garlic sauce requesting it to be mild. It was! The vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection! Jin Fu Garden is a really awesome Asian restaurant in Bethpage. Just order 5 appetizers and a soup or sushi and your set. Their soft shell crab tempura is butt kicking amazing. Really good local spot. It was my first time trying this place and I was really impressed. I enjoyed the egg rolls and the fried rice which are the two essentials for finding a good takeout spot. The Sesame Chicken and Beef with Broccoli were also very good and they come with a side of white or brown rice. Unfortunately they do not do dinner combination plates with fried rice, which was a bit of a bummer, but obviously not a deal breaker. The service is very warm and friendly. I would certainly recommend and look forward to trying new items. They also throw in some freebies when you spend a certain amount, but you may have to ask for it or present a coupon which is on the back of the take out menu. I didn't get that with my original order but will certainly ask for it next time. read more

Jin Fu Garden's food was delicious! On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 10. Every single one of the people who go there they I know loved it too! The only thing that I absolutely hated was the service. There was only ONE waitress in the whole restaurant! My family and I got there at 6:15 PM, and the food did not come until 7:15. We said that if in a few minutes the food is not out here, we're asking for the check. FINALLY, it came out. My family and I discussed that this was the last time we were going there. So, if people have the patience to wait for an hour, that's great. I really am sure that MY family doesn't. read more

Terrible!!! Stay away!!!! Order food tonight and was told the order would be ready in 40 minutes. After an hour and a half still not ready and being told it would be another half hour. This place is a Chinese food takeout place except you can go in there and sit at a booth and have a…read morenice little Chinese lunch or dinner there but it is nothing special. The food is decent, but it's just like any other Chinese food takeout place with the exception that you don't feel like disgusting or anything by going there to eat inside. The service is good and as usual, like many Chinese restaurants, they brought me the bill as soon as I took my last bite.

Portions were generous, food served straight from the wok, dipping condiments were a little different and delicious. The family that owns the place is friendly accommodating and attentive. It's a Halal restaurant so guess what? No booze, and thus no loud drunks. LOL I've got an issue with noise levels in restaurants and even though this little place was pretty packed, I could still have a conversation over dinner without screaming. The texture is chewy (skin), soft (fat) and dense (meat). The sauce may look over the top, but it adds to the silkiness of the pieces. The "fat" is not greasy. It's puzzling how they rendered the grease. I grew up eating this dish and cook it too. This dish by far is the best I've had. Service is fantastic; helpful and attentive. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.

I was pleasantly surprised at the warmth and the care of the kind lady who greeted me, smiled and genuinely spent time with me asking about my likes and then ensured my fried tofu n broccoli with extra garlic sauce was perfect. She also checked up on me while I was eating and asked if I needed anything else. D) Her attention to detail with every takeout order was a 100 percent. On the left side is a partially open kitchen and the takeout register. The extensive menu covers various basic Chinese and Japanese selections. We shared the shrimp and spinach wonton soup to start. The broth was wonton, the spinach wasn't as soft as expected due to its inclusion of the stems, and the shrimp was a negligible part of the dumpling it was wrapped in. My son enjoyed their chicken and broccoli as well as their steamed vegetable dumplings. My wife and I enjoyed their 6 steamed crystal shrimp dumplings appetizer. So far, so good, but the big disappointment came with the boneless ribs appetizer. The sauce was good, but the pork was barely edible because it tasted as if it had been pre-cooked, left to harden and dry, before being re-heated and served ... not fresh and way too chewy. I ordered it because another Yelper had recommended them, so maybe that dish isn't consistently what it should be? I had also been to Jani's about ten days earlier and it was much better. Me and the cousin I was with split the Lake Tung Ting Shrimp and Moo Shu Beef, so I can recommend both of those. On weekends, a reservation is a good idea.
