I ordered one of the seafood broil options that included a half pound of crab legs, headless shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes in the house spice blend medium. They usually have a DJ on Friday evenings in the back lounge with food and drink discounts, but unfortunately he/she didn't show up. We visited Red Crab on a Thursday evening on a whim. We arrived around 7:30 and we were seated right away in the back room. We sat for a bit reviewing the menu which was kind of confusing to understand. We decided to get to boils one with shrimp, sausage and snow crabs with the house blend. The other had shrimp, snow crabs and boiled eggs in the house blend We were offered a complimentary appetizer so we went with hush puppies. I ordered a Chardonnay and vodka soda. It took awhile to get our drinks and the appetizer came out with the food. The crab boil came with the full setup (bucket, gloves, and bibs) and paper covered table. The flavors were bursting and the house blend was delightful, the shrimp were large and the boil came with 2 potatoes and a small ear of corn. We had to ask few times for the cracker for our snow crabs. The food was plentiful and I couldn't finish it all. The restaurant was large with a front bar and they played hip hop and r&b music which made it a vibe. Took my brother to Red Crab House for some Maryland seafood and I'm honestly mad I didn't try this place sooner, it's only 5 minutes away . Cozy, neighborhood friendly vibe and feels like a great happy hour spot after work. I'm allergic to shellfish and made them aware, ordered the fried fish basket with no issues at all, appreciate the kind waitress! which alone makes me want to return. This was my second time at this location. The first time the services was lacking the our server were not professional. This time the servers were much better and the food came out much faster. The ambiance was catered to the younger crowd with rap music in background. The bathroom weren't clean and the urinals smelled horrible. I ordered the shrimp po boy and it was basically a bread sandwich. The shrimps weren't bad, too small and just not enough to taste on the sandwich. Discovered this gem tucked into a shopping center in Laurel. It's huge inside with a back room that includes a secondary bar. The menu is unbelievably eclectic from Seafood boils to Philly cheese steaks and fried rice to french fries. I came for the seafood and was not disappointed. Started out with some incredible hushpuppies that included whole pieces of corn and a spicy sauce to dip them in. Also had to try their wings as there were many rave reviews on Yelp about them. Excellent- crispy and meaty with your choice of seasoning. For the seafood boil: Step 1-pick your seafood- I had headless shrimp that were quite large and Snow Crablegs Step 2- choose your seasoning- I had Cajun garlic butter Step 3- choose your level of spice Additionally, your boil bag comes with potatoes and corn on the cob. Just imagine both of these submerged in tangy Cajun garlic butter. The garlic was so plentiful that you could see mounds of it. Don't want to get messy? They give you plastic gloves to use when you dive into the food, but then you loose all the fun of licking your fingers! Really enjoyed my meal. Come on a Wednesday night for Karaoke and discounts on your food if you sing for your supper. Only negative- they should give everyone who orders crab the utensils to crack and pull the meat out. Loved how spacious the place was. A great place to bring a big group. The service was tremendous as well! Our server took such good care of us. Refills were flowing and all of our needs taken care of before asking. We all got a boil and for $50, we got a ton of food. Everyone had left overs. Visited Oct 2025 and although the bartender who was also our waiter was considerate and helpful, we were vert very displeased with our troublesome food. Unfortunately, I could only eat one of the oysters in the shell platter that I purchased due to the suspicious taste that made me question the freshness of the seafood, so I asked for a refund. To the credit of management, the refund was given -no questions asked - and our waiter removed a full platter of "risky" oysters-in-the half-shell from our table. They looked much better than they tasted. The corn on the cob was very drab tasting, and the mussels even more so sad to say. I left 90% of my meal on the table. My cousin enjoyed her plate of fried shrimp and rice, that is until the very next 2-3 days during which only a dose of probiotics could ease her gastric pain and tummy distress. It seems the outdated look of the interior of this restaurant reflects the state of its seafood dishes. Very drab interior which at first glance made me want to back out slowly but I sat down and ordered bc I was due to report shortly afterwards to an appointment and needed to eat prior to going. Big mistake! This spot must get much better food suppliers bc the seafood served in my opinion tastes subpar which begs the question of its edibility for diners like me who have sensitive pallets and vulnerable stomachs. I do deliveries for clients and stopped in to pick up a prepaid order. At the counter, the staff member insisted my on-screen confirmation was "just a screenshot," then asked for additional info. I provided the name and order details, which matched what she had, yet she still refused to release the order. This held up my delivery, risked the food getting cold, and created an unnecessary confrontation. I'm happy to follow any reasonable pickup verification, but there needs to be a clear, consistent policy (e.g., name + order number) and some basic courtesy. Accusing delivery drivers of fraud when the order details match is unprofessional. Until management trains the team and posts a clear pickup policy, I won't be returning and I'll advise my clients to order elsewhere. read more

My cousin recommended I try this spot while visiting her in Maryland. So said so done. It's a cool chill spot to dine in. My family and I all ordered shrimp, snow crab legs, lobster tail, green mussels, potato's and corn on the cob in garlic butter or there spicy sauce which all tasted so so good. Met up with a friend who lives nearby on a random day. It wasn't crowded, but it was definitely happy hour! On top of their already existing specials, they have daily evenings of delight, such as Margarita Mondays, Beer Tuesdays, and a free drink if you sing for karaoke on Wednesdays (SAY LESS!). There's plenty of seating inside... I wonder if it ever gets full? My friend and I sat next to a window, and started looking at the menu. They had hush puppies -- who doesn't love those?! We got an order and decided to get some margaritas too. Strong drinks, flavorful hush puppies... so far so good! I also decided to get the Red Crab House wings... which are their chicken wings with the seasoning they use for their famous seafood boils. I WAS NOT READY!!! They came in a giant air-filled plastic bag just like the seafood boils, and... they were... so delicious!! Those flavors were really hitting! I had to run to the bathroom at one point during our time there, and I saw a whole other section of seating plus a whole other bar. The place really IS huge! I remember when it was Red Sky a long long time ago... I went for brunch. I guess I forgot the size. I only go here for drinks, which are strong and reasonably priced whether on happy hour or not. They have karaoke in here on the weekday I believe Tuesday creating a family like ambiance. It's a little pricier that other similar establishments I've been to, and unfortunately the service was very inattentive. They Never came by for a refill of drinks or checked in unless we flagged them , but they were friendly. Somehow they only had one crab claw cracker left when it was requested (place was nearly empty so it was a bit odd!) I hate to only give this place four stars, but I just can't do five. The ONLY two bad things: 1) I got the Fried Catfish. Either it's just not my thing or it was way too salty and greasy. I'm really hoping the former. It wasn't terrible but it was not great. 2) The music. Not my thing and that's fine. But I asked our waitress to turn it down just a bit and I don't think she did. Was way too loud for my taste. Aside from those two issues, this really seems like a good place. Lots of seafood of course. But they also offered, oddly, fried rice and some other 'off-topic' dishes. Our waitress was really polite and attentive. So definitely will not complain about the service. I don't know if my buddy and I will return, but we did give it a try. Very good seafood boil place. Packed rooms all the time. We got the package deal with crab legs, red crab sauce medium hot along with crawfish and shrimp. While it's a pricy $51, it's enough to feed 3 adults with 3 lbs of seafood. We also got red crab wings, fried calamari and onion rings on happy hour specials. I'd skip it next time. It's meh. We also got chicken tenders and French fries along with broccoli sautéed. Fries and broccoli were very good. Seafood boil is where the action is at. Wear the gloves and bib, you will get splattered. I'm a pro level seafood eater, I still get splashed here. On our table, we had two who took eye shots with the med hot sauce. Beyond painful. Next time I'll bring goggles. I typically like this place, but recently it's lost its spark. We always get the chicken tender basket, but it's actually quite bland. The batter tastes like the other seafood they fry (i.e. shrimp). It's also just incredibly oily and I feel like my throat is swimming in oil once I finish eating. Recently I found literallt 3 hairs in my food and an extra one in my sauce. Their honey mustard sauce is surpisingly good. I got their shrimp boil before and it was actually decent. I would say it's better than the chicken basket. There's a whole club vibe going on ins the back space. Service was as god as it could be I suppose due to the menu (if you get what I'm saying). This place would be good on a more mellow night with friends or an outing with family. I had the Philly cheesesteak and wings. We wanted crabs... lol... that's how we ended up here. The food had a good flavor. I asked was the mild red crab sauce spicy and I was told no... but... it was very spicy! Which made it a little less enjoyable. The service was just okay. Our waiter was nice... but he seemed to be a little overwhelmed... it looked like he was the bar tender and the waiter. We asked for water about 5 times. But the other drinks ordered came out in a timely manner. Outside of the spice level, the food was very very fresh. It was what you expect when you want crabs. For appetizers, we got the red crab wings and the calamari and they were both very good! I would go back just for that again! My sister had the shrimp po-boy which she said was very delicious. I did try her sweet potato fries and they were very good. My fiancé had snow crab and Dungeness crabs and it was so good!!! The rest of us had the normal seafood bag.
