Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

The negative we had was the project leader for the day of work seemed to have cut corners in several places. It started with not all of the work being done that was on the invoice. The office believed me and sent out a worker to check and they validated the work was not done that was in the invoice. When Mass Save came to inspect the work, they also found the light covers were not installed correctly. All and all, it required 4 visits to complete the work for a variety of reasons.

When the work was completed, our Building Inspector flagged the work for an insufficient amount of blown-in insulation. Months passed. When Rogers came back for the re-do, they didn't bring enough tubing to reach the attic opening, so they had to go back to Framingham to get more. This despite the fact that the company had already done work here previously, and should have known how much tubing was needed. In the end, the job was done correctly, per the Building Inspector, but the process required more of my time and attention than it should have, with appointments and phone calls. Also without the Building Inspection, we would not have know that insufficient insulation had been installed.

My needed work (new vinyl siding and windows) that UBrothers Construction did on my house was outstanding. For me to see the transformation was a very satisfying process. The workmanship was top quality. Andrii (Project Manager) who manages the project did an excellent job on the logistics of the project i.e. the ordering of the supplies, the scheduling, the personnel, the flow of the manpower needed on the job (also checking on the work and addressing any concerns). Their tradesmen are very professional and courteous, if you have an issue, they will look into fixing it. UBrothers finish products are quality craftmanship because I see the fitted joints are aligned up perfectly and straight. They understand the customers' needs and alleviate any pitfalls. They cleaned up at the end of every day on the job rather well. At the end of the job, all the utilities (mailbox hookup, doorbell, street address #, exterior wall lights, etc.) were re-established. They removed & replaced rotted sill plates on the door and windows, foam insulated, & replace sills & molding with all new. Nik took apart Harvey window sashes & trimmed the vinyl corner's mitered edges that the Harvey Window factory should've taken care of in QC.
