If you're from the greater Cortlandt/Peekskill area, I don't have to tell you that finding a quality bake shop isn't very easy. There's one that is absurdly overpriced and another where the workers have seriously bad attitudes. I had given up and just got most of my pastries and such at Shoprite, but then I found this place, recently relocated. It's a cute little joint run by a wife and husband, both of whom are friendly and welcoming. I've been there several times and have tried various goodies, all of them ranging from very good to excellent. Prices are fair, too. We all deserve a cookie, cupcake, cinnamon roll, or other treat to get us through the week. Red Door is a good place to get it. read more

I had an excellent breakfast of muffins and savory tarts from here, along with a select desserts recommended by the fantastic owner Deb. So glad I stopped here. It is a small shop with various delicious sweet and savory items. Clean bright, and I will be coming back again and again. The coffee was delicious as well. Every cake, cookie, frittata, biscotti, and everything in between is exceptional. Specialty cakes to order are made with such care! They even made a special Pentagon-shaped tiramisu cake for a friend in the military which was so incredibly delicious my mouth waters right now. I love this addition to the area. Every time I go there they have a great selection of desserts and treats. The personal touch though is the owners. They're great.
