But here is the kicker: When I went to check out with my card, there was the usual row of tip options on the screen. I was thinking, "No way"... have to say the women were not very friendly, I felt unwelcome... like I was bothering them... so with the high price, I decided not to leave a tip. And I almost always leave a 25% to 30% tip, even for take out. But the thing automatically added ANOTHER $2! This little sample cost me EIGHT DOLLARS! One clerk was already in the back, and the other had her back turned and was heading there when I said (not nasty, just confused), "It says eight dollars!?". Without turning around, the clerk said "Yes", over her shoulder. No explanation, no "Yes it automatically adds a tip", nothing. OK... First World Problems, I know. But if someone wants to sell ice cream, the 1) amount should be somewhat comparable to other sellers in the area, 2) not priced far above those, but for a smaller amount, 3) not add a 33% tip automatically to that higher price, and 4) the staff should be a bit nicer. Otherwise it just is not worth it at all. TLDR: Enormously expensive for a very small amount of ice cream, and the checkout automatically adds a 33% tip on top of that. Cannot remotely recommend.
