Nancy Jenkins' team represented the sellers in our home purchase, and our experience has been…read morenothing short of a nightmare. Shortly after moving into the home, we discovered extensive concealed material defects that have ultimately cost us over $100,000 in repairs. We found black mold in the basement that appeared to have been deliberately hidden through fresh paint and the removal of carpeting. We also uncovered severe water damage stemming from a second-story balcony, which caused significant structural deterioration in the primary bedroom. The damage was so extensive that we had to completely remove the balcony and replace the rim joist and other structural framing that had rotted away. Much of this damage had been concealed with new trim, siding, and other cosmetic updates designed to mask the underlying problems. We also found newly installed trim covering rotten sheathing, with no building wrap behind it. To make matters worse, when our inspector identified several issues that had not been successfully concealed, Nancy Jenkins' team recommended that we obtain repair estimates from the homeowner's personal contractor, stating that they trusted him. We later discovered that this same contractor had performed much of the work used to hide the defects and provided estimates that dramatically understated the true cost of the repairs. We relocated from Colorado and put our trust in the professionals involved in this transaction. Instead, we inherited a home with extensive hidden damage and an overwhelming financial burden. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Nancy Jenkins Real Estate. We found the level of transparency and ethics throughout this transaction deeply disappointing. If zero stars were an option, that is the rating I would give.

We asked ChatGPT for a ranking of real estate agents in our area and this name ranked number one: Henrietta Duvall Broker of record/ Owner EXIT Realty Seaway Cornwall, ON We called the number listed and Henrietta answered right away. She said that she was with a client but would call back as soon as possible. She called back! We explained what we wanted to do and she set an appointment for the next day at the residence. She explained the sales process and without a signed contract, took a walk around the property and gave us advice on how to arrange the house for sale. The next day she sent a couple of recent sales stats from the neighborhood to help us come up with an optimal price for the house. In early August, we were finally ready to put the house on the market and Henrietta met with us again and we finalized a sales plan. The next day she had placed the FOR SALE sign on the lawn and had set up an open house for the next day. She had a photographer come in as well and she used the photos on her real estate page. We were pleasantly surprised by her enthusiasm and as she told us during our first meeting, she took her job very seriously and she worked for us exclusively. We had instructed her to do what she was good at and sell the property without much involvement from us.
