What stood out about Black Eyed Susan is their willingness to accommodate our needs and their attention to detail. They were never pushy or impatient, and the communication was fantastic throughout the entire process. Their team went above and beyond on our wedding day. I was initially worried about the logistics of preparing food onsite, but the process was seamless and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. A few highlights were the ham and sweet potato biscuits, the balsamic glazed short ribs, and the fried green tomatoes. If you're looking for a caterer, I can't recommend BES enough!!

We got 3 different entrees, country fried steak, chopped steak and turkey and dressing. The dressing and mashed potatoes weren't the best. The chopped steak was the favorite and had great flavor, the turkey was nice turkey breast and was better with gravy. The country fried steak was obviously a frozen patty and not that good. The fried okra was good. All in all it was a good meal for 3 tired travelers. You can tell this is a big local hangout because there were several in there visiting one another. I loved that. It's the most adorable little market and everything looks so good. The women who work here were also so friendly! I ordered some pretzel knots with their homemade mustard - they were warm and so delicious. The mustard had a little kick to it and was so delicious. Finch Grocery is in the Biltmore Village neighborhood of Asheville where RV's aren't allowed to park on the street overnight. But Finch Grocery is part of an RV hospitality program where they allow people to use their parking lot. And it was a very quiet and very peaceful night. From handmade blankets to walking sticks to lotions to classic Coca Cola bottles, you never know what you'll run into.
