Simply great! Wonderful market full of delicious treats and gourmet goods. Our favorite is the delicious ice cream! We've tried a bunch of the food cooked here as well and have enjoyed all of it. Where do I begin?! We contacted Matt & Erica about chef services for our wedding weekend, which will be in November this year. I had never hired a chef before and wasn't even sure where to start! I turned to Yelp, and I am so glad I did. We signed our contract several months ago, but wanted to get past the chaos of the holidays before we really got to work on wedding stuff. While the wedding is still months away, we met Matt & Erica this weekend for a tasting. I can not say enough about how professional they are, and delicious their food is! We booked an AirB&B with an outdoor space so that we could be fully Covid compliant. We found a place in Swannanoa, NC with a ridiculous view and fire pit. Matt & Erica met us there, set up a table, and cooked & plated on site! This was not just a tasting, it was an experience. Their food is out of this world, and we cannot wait for our wedding weekend to get here!! I would recommend Red Fiddle for any occasion, and I will review further after our event. I had a family gathering of 45 persons for Thanksgiving this year but the venue I was counting on for the Thanksgiving meal dropped my reservation accidentally. I contacted Matt, he and Erica came to the rescue. I used their service previously and was very satisfied. We discussed every dish and he was very patient and catered the meal exactly to my preferences. They also adjusted the recipes to accommodate any dietary restrictions we had. The food was great and everyone loved it. The turkeys were very moist, tender and very well seasoned. All the sides were excellent. The apple cranberry pie was superb as well as the pecan pie. We were staying in Hendersonville and he managed to send the meal with one of his staff. I can't thank them enough for making this Thanksgiving very memorable. Our family hired Red Fiddle Vittles in April to serve heavy hors d'oevres for about 40 friends and family attending a "Celebration of Life". We very happy with the service from beginning to end. Matt took time to zoom with us prior to the event to finalize the menu and worked with us to accommodate a few dietary requests. Erica arrived on time on the day of the event, set up and served, and when we were done, helped package the extras for us to take home. The table arrangement was very nice and food looked great...and tasted great: a balanced combination of "recognizable" food (sliders and a veggie plate, e.g.), but with an added flair such as green chili hummus and locally sourced heirloom carrots. I've had the good fortune to eat at events that featured food prepared by Erica and Matt many times, and wish I could give more than five stars. My experience with catering companies in general has been largely generic and underwhelming, with little to differentiate one provider from another. Red Fiddle is at the opposite end of the spectrum - they genuinely care about guest experiences in a way I've not seen with other caterers. Rather than pushing a preset menu of items on their customers, they take the time to understand the nature of the occasion and create a menu that's insanely delicious and perfectly suits the event. If you have a large crowd at an outdoor event and want BBQ and traditional sides, they have you covered; but Erica and Matt are equally adept at setting up a fine dining experience that matches or exceeds the best meal you've ever had in a high end restaurant.
