Burger with a side of Brussels sprouts
    Bob D.

I sat at the bar this evening for a beer and to listen to trivia night. Music was good and the crowd was lively. I definitely did not feel rushed. Bartenders were nice and attentive. I decided to stay for some food. Beers were great. Burger was super tasty. I ordered a side of Brussels sprouts which were just OK flavorwise. However, I had to send them back because they were definitely not hot when they came out. I'd definitely try this place again.

Ordered the pistachio salmon with garlic mashed and a bowl of chili. The chili arrived cool and needed to be re-heated but was piping hot and tasted good. Busy place with lots of families on this Friday night. Cookie skillet was good but the cookie was crumbly and not the usual soft melting deliciousness! Service was good, would recommend but maybe on a slower day. Outdoor seating available.

Baked haddock with the potato chip and roasted red pepper beurre blanc sauce

The place has a similar vibe to many mid level restaurants chilis, Applebees etc.. a little bit more fancy menu with a little bit higher prices.. I got the chili and the big a$$ pretzel.. the pretzel wasn't warm and neither was the chili the chili did have a large dollop of sour cream and cheese which may have cooled it down but I was not impressed the cheese sauce for the pretzel was already solidifying. My guest got the baked haddock with potato chip crust and a roasted red pepper beurre blanc sauce.. she said it was good but did not like that the green beans still had the tips on them.. the waitress was very friendly knowledgeable and attentive.. I would try this place again..

I have to say, sadly, I want impressed with The Red Heat Tavern in Milford, MA. Wifey and I were up in the area for the Army-Navy game and this is where we had dinner the night before the game. When we arrived we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait...which seemed curious to me since there were multiple tables all around the bar area. When we were FINALLY seated 32 minutes after getting there, we were given one of the same tables that had been open the entire time...in the bar area. Already annoyed, but in need of a drink so Wifey had the pear/cranberry sangria and I ordered a margarita (it was in the menu and looked enticing). We also ordered entrees at the same time and Wifey got a simple classic burger with fries and I got the BBQ burger with fries. Wifey's drink and burger were a hit. The drink was great and she like the burger so there's that. My drink however was the sweetest-I mean overly sweet- margarita I've ever had (I actually needed up not finishing it). My burger was also a bit of a disaster. The bun, which I initially thought was toasted was simply stale and the burger itself was way overcooked (why ask me how I want it if you're gonna bring me well-done?). The bacon and BBQ sauce in the burger were both tasty, though I would have like just a little more BBQ sauce. We bother DID love the fries though. Overall it wasn't a home run for me for my first time at this chain. Our waitress was certainly pleasant, but it seemed like she had way too many tables and was struggling...so I left her a good tip...no one likes nights like these if you're a waiter/waitress.

Cobb Salad and Tavern Chili (steak) with skillet cornbread with honey butter.

We visit ready Tavern on a regular basis because they consistently serve a wonderful lunch, the price is a reasonable, and the service is extra extraordinary. We have also had the pleasure of being greeted by the executive chef, Heather Palmer. There was an allergy concern with one person in our party and she took it very seriously and came out and spent several minutes discussing it with us. She has even posted the specific concern in the kitchen in case we come in on a day that she's not working. The ease of checkout using the QR code is another really cool feature of dining at Red Heat . Our favorite dish is the Cobb salad. We add the grilled chicken which is consistently moist and cooked to perfection. Lastly, the bathrooms are also very clean, which is a big plus !

Cesar salad with 3 whopping turkeys tips. For $8.99!?!? Come on! Where's the value?
    Paul G.

I have been going here for the past 3-4 years and regularly get a salad (Greek) with Turkey tips. They charge $8.99 to add the tips onto to a salad and each time over the past year the size is smaller and smaller. What is going on? Where is the value and why is Turkey more expensive then chicken. Either way. How about increasing the portion of meat when charging that much!

Not a bad spot for a burger and to watch a game. They accommodate large parties as well. Cool ambience.

This was our first time going since it had opened as the Fireside Tavern. It is fair to say we were underwhelmed. My wife ordered a Dirty Martini and it had a lot of vermouth in it which is not the correct way to prepare it. For an appetizer we got the Calamari which was very good. Crispy and tender with delicious hot peppers added in as well. For the main courses we got the Chicken Piccata severed over Gnocchi which was good but nothing special. Gnocchi were a bit denser than we like. Our other main was the Seafood Paella. On the plus side it had a lot of seafood in it, mussels, Shrimp, Scallops and a white fish. All of the sish was cooked well and was tender and juicy. However it did not appear to be cooked in a Paella pan so you didn't get some of those bites of crispy rice and the seasoning was off it had no saffron or tomatoes like I am used to. It was more like a plain rice that they added peas, carrots, and red pepper. Just didn't taste like any form of the paella that I have eaten previously. Jenna our server was awesome and attentive but not overbearing. She was fantastic and made for an enjoyable evening.

With that we ventured to Glen Pharmer. The day was freezing and I could only get reservation outside in the covered bridge which would have been adorable with the water bubbling down stream underfoot had the weather been better. We decided to saddle up at the bar rather than brave the elements. The decor is cool - industrial meets hipster meets country. Lots of wood and copper. There was a lone tv in the corner of the bar playing the NCAA women's lacrosse national championship which was a welcome change of pace from the showings at most sports bars. The bartender was very friendly and very quick to mix drinks. The downside is that they DO NOT serve any alcohol they don't make so the mimosas were out but we did find a cocktail we enjoyed with gin, lavender, honey and lemon. The Bloody Mary had great accompaniments but the tomato mix was a little lackluster. The food was well prepared. The huevos rancheros had a good variety of ingredients and the flavors were perfect together. The tortilla underneath was a bit difficult to cut through but once it got a little soggy from the egg yolk and beans it was easier to break up. The sunrise bowl was the perfect amount of veggies. Purple potatoes were a nice surprise along with a vast array of things like broccoli and zucchini. The Benedict with crab cakes was moist and had plenty of crab! It's a bit heavy so go for it if you're really hungry otherwise you probably can take it home. Food prices were reasonable for the portions given and the quality. Drinks are creative and well made but remember you're not getting mimosas at this joint!

It's colorful, it's groovy, it's bright, it's nostalgic. Even the employees are wearing shirts with funky themes and patterns. There are TVs showing shows from back then. The floors are checkered, the ceiling is silver, the chairs are red and the tables are blue. We were seated at a booth, which can more than comfortably sit 4-6 people. The menu is HUGE, think cheesecake factory but for a diner. There's a little bit of everything but the font and everything around it makes it hard to focus on what each item is. I went very simple and chose the Simon and Garfunkel which included two pancakes or French toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, toast, and home fries for $18.99. After about 15 minutes, our food came out. The bacon could have been crispier, with some parts being wobbly. The sausage was thick, juicy, and savory. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy on the outside. The eggs were cooked medium, just how I requested them, and the englush muffin was a little different than your traditional ones since it didn't have the little pockets of air but it was still good. The French toast was moist, but I wish it had more cinnamon - the egg was the dominant flavor. Overall, it was a very satisfying breakfast. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza
