    Caesar salad, small plate

This is a great place for a midweek lunch. Not crowded, the staff are friendly, and the service is great. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, a small Caesar salad, and burger sliders with cheese to share with my friend. She got a garden salad and scallops also to share with me. The burgers were delicious if a little well done for my taste. The scallops were out of this world rushed in a tangy sauce that really added to the flavor of the scallops. This is my second time here and it did not disappoint. I will be back. (I was so caught up in the moment. I forgot to take pictures until we had already started. Rookie move, lol)

Cedar Street Grille's $25 three-course deal is a steal! We feasted on mini board of brie with warm bread, crazy dates, ceasar salads, baked cod, & moussaka. We added the pork belly to our app course. Bonus points for the corn 3 ways mac & cheese we snuck home. Highly recommend checking out their deals!

Was in town with the hubby for the week as he was staying local for work. Wanted to try something nicer than Applebees. Made reservations, the place is small and cute - Great atmosphere for a cute date night place. Lots of options for small plates & things to share. Flavors were crazy, The Fried Goat cheese was simple yet delicious. Bread board plain, but the butter was insane! Everything was great, the service was even better, Our person was very personable and made the experience a great time. Would definitely come back if back in the area.

Attentive service and (mostly) exceptional food. The burger sliders were proclaimed to be one of the best ever tasted. The vegetable hash (which was a tad greasy), duck dumplings, and wings had such great flavor. Our group were pleased with the meal. Very innovative dessert, too--baklava cheesecake. My only note was that I have a dairy allergy and asked for my flatbread without cheese. I was served literal pieces of food on the plate. I was told it was deconstructed but seriously--how hard was it to put together without cheese? It was an odd presentation.

It was my first visit and everything was great! We had the Brie and Berry appetizer. It was served with warm bread. I had the quiche, my sister and Dad had the Mac and cheese one with chicken one with corner beef. The breakfast fries were great too! Rachel was our waitress and she was great.

Hubby and I stopped here for a light dinner on our way to Boston. After driving many hours, the warm, relaxing atmosphere was just what we needed. I had seen a review that criticized their use of paper table covering, but found that the natural brown-kraft paper worked well with the decor and did not detract from the overall classiness of the restaurant. They have a pretty extensive menu and seem very knowledgeable about safe food handling for celiac. Our waitress steered me to the GF mac & cheese. This was NOT your grandma's mac & cheese. Instead, it was a welcome blend of comfort food and culinary creativity with a delicious mix of cheeses, vegetables and seasoning. (The leftovers held up well, too.) Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his sliders, too. If I ever find myself in the area again, will definitely return to try more of the GF menu.

I wanted to only give 4 stars because I was upset I was told we'd have to wait over an hour for a table, but then realized that I could've chosen to go someplace else and didn't, so I won't hold that against them. They really don't have an area to wait, so we just sat across the street for a while until we were tired of being eaten alive. We came back in to check with Patrick at the host stand. He was very attentive and said he was going to have a bar table opening, but at that point, I preferred to wait the rest of the time for a regular table. He kept checking on us and giving us updates and got us seated before expected. We went with a few small things to try out. We had the bread basket-amazing bread that was warm and perfectly crunchy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside with a lemon basil oil. I expected more flavor, but I didn't get any. We still enjoyed it. The fried pickles were good, but nothing special to us because we live in Georgia (but may be special here). The mustard aioli is in mane only; if it weren't for the whole mustard seeds, it's really flavorless but still palate friendly to cut the greasy pickles. Lastly, the pan seared scallops. The scallops themselves were cooked perfectly, but the pancetta was burnt and inedible. The yuzu sauce has a kick (but there's not much on the plate) and the pea purée was smooth and mild. Overall, it's kind of small and homey (in a very nice way) and service was phenomenal between Patrick in the beginning and Violet as our server, but everyone working here is hustling, yet friendly.

Ask the Community - Cedar Street Grille

Do they offer outdoor dining in January?

No they do not have outdoor dining.

    Is the building handicapped accessible?

Almost positive it is, pretty sure there's special parking also, but you could just call and ask about specific details that may matter to you. They're generally very responsive, and overall a very welcoming space and staff.

We entered and were immediately impressed by the decor and setting. You really feel like you entered a time capsule from a different era, everything is beautiful. We were seated in a cute little area. We ordered our drinks and we really wanted the fish chowder for our app, but they didn't have any (so disappointing). My husband decided on the chili and nothing caught my eye for an app, but I had some bites of the chili and it was very very good! For dinner my husband picked the Beef and Guinness Stew and I picked the Fish and Chips. My fish was very good, but it said it came with hand cut fries and there was no way they were hand cut, they tasted like everything other frozen fries I've had and they were really skimpy on the fries. My husband's Beef and Guinness Stew was awful, he said the meat was very grizzly and tough. We really enjoyed our experience dining in such a beautiful place, we might come back in the summer and give them another try.

The cheese sauce was a bit runny making it hard to eat politely. We had a steak and cheese and a turkey sandwich, both with house chips. The water there tasted awful, we did have to order bottled. They should probably consider a filtration system. Before I came I thought this was a high end place but upon arrival realized it's quite casual. We were in the downstairs bar, I understand there is an upstairs so maybe that is fancier? Either way it's super laid back. I will say the bathroom near the bar need an update. It was not just dirty, it was run down and ragged. Our lunch /drinks for 2 was $180 with tip and I would expect a decent bathroom and drinkable water for that level of restaurant pricing.

We were there on Memorial Day (Monday) and it was really quiet, but I can imagine it would be crowded on weekends.

I have visited before, but this was my first visit in about six years or so. They have an absolutely enormous selection of alcoholic beverages, but I was only interested in exploring their very impressive selection of craft beer. I don't make it to this area very often, so I was most looking forward to see if they carried anything that's either hard to find or just totally unavailable in my home area of New Haven, Connecticut. I spent maybe a half hour just walking down the aisles and seeing what all of the options were. Afterwards, I was ready to begin shopping. I ended up purchasing a pretty sizable haul which should keep my refrigerator full for a while. Most of the beers I grabbed were rare barrel-aged stouts, but I also picked out a few IPAs and other various styles that no longer get distribution in my home area.
