Could use some sauce packets of a tasty chipotle May type thing. Two main problems- after parking behind the building unclear how to get to the door of the cafe. There are no prices on the menu.!! This gives you the idea of how much food you are getting and what to order. The hard copy menus at the register also have no prices and are too tiny to read! Usually the drinks are super good, I like this place and wish we had one in Portland. But the most recent time I visited, I was served a matcha that I think had maybe too much matcha. It was super green and like way too concentrated, almost borderline undrinkable. I got so nauseous and had to pull over on the side of the road and puked twice, pure matcha. This has never happened to me before and I drink a lot of matcha. I'm so sad I had this experience because I've had their matcha in the past and it's always been so tasty. Love this place. I'm a coffee snob (grind my own organic coffee & use an Aeropress) so finding a good cup of organic coffee when I'm out of town is usually a challenge. Their coffee is excellent. A way we made the coffee less sweet and available for two was by adding water to two separate cups of coffee. I like that Red Leaf carries dye free syrups. It's also nice that their coffee is organic. I wish they used organic milk and other ingredients too. They have started making an energy bar without hydrogenated oils so that is a plus and they are on the right track there! By far my favorite coffee in Woodland. Their coffee has a great taste even when drunk black. They consistently have good snacks, and their drive thru service is excellent and friendly. Unfortunately the owner decided to use their business to support an anti-mask, anti-lockdown, and anti-government rally during the height of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, and I can't forgive them for that. That rally caused a large spike in COVID-19 cases in Cowlitz County and unknown number of deaths. Because it waa close to lunch time, I also ordered the spinach parmesan keto sandwich (310 calories), which was also good. The setup of this shop is simple. There is a small overhang with a patio from the walk-up window on the front. The drive through goes around back. No public bathroom, though (go to the Dollar Store down the road for that purpose). The coffee is good... The only problem I have is with the employees asking if I want to leave a tip. I have to awkwardly tell them no thanks. Why do you need a tip for handing me the coffee through a window? I'm paying over $11 for two little coffees and you want a tip? The company should pay their employees more and remove the tip option. I can't wait for the day I can pull up to a window and have a machine hand me my drink. No more tips for doing your job! read more

I got a hemp milk chai this morning that was made incorrectly. I always love Red Leaf and order the same thing every time, I saw the girl on bar pour the wrong milk in and when I asked if it was hemp milk she lied about it and acted like she was in a rush when there was only one person in line behind. I tried it and it was not my normal drink. The sweet girl that took my money remade me my drink without hesitation. I work in coffee as well and understand how hectic it can get but I'm severely allergic to dairy. I appreciated the sweet girl on window this morning who went ahead and remade it. read more

We went through the drive thru here after visiting the lilac . gardens. We ordered two lattes and they were kind enough to mention that they only had one espresso shot. We opted for one, but in the end felt that two would have made it a lot better, so good to note if we are there again! Nice people there. We also tried a cranberry/orange scone that they had left and so we loved that. IT was yummy! They were sold out of a lot of things and so it looks to be a popular place, and I can understand why! Unfortunately I do not live in Woodland anymore, but I stop here EVERY time I am in town! The baristas are always friendly and have a smile on their face, the drinks are always good, and service is always fast. My personal favorite is an iced rocky mountain mocha. Got coffee and red pepper goat cheese strata. Service was very friendly attentive and fast. Coffee was very weak, I can't attest to its flavor because aside from it being slightly brown water all I could taste was warm watery half'n'half. Cream is not self serve and the gal put in way more than I'd like, which is fair because everyone likes it different so I don't blame her; I think cream should be self serve. The food was sized proportional to its price but not very good. Definitely made long ahead of time and then microwaved to order, which is fair. It was mush with a good spiced flavor but no texture as the cheese and peppers were in tiny pieces and cooked to a mushy consistency, then blended into a uniform mass. I didn't ever taste or feel a pepper or goat cheese. If I were blind folded I could only guess that I was eating scrambled eggs seasoned with allspice and baked until it formed a firm skin over top. read more

Wasn't good! The coffee shots were obviously rushed to pull because I am an avid espresso drinker for over 13 years before there were shops on every corner. Some of the best shots and coffee I've had is at my home. Ok back to the horrible coffee, when the shots come rushing out of the machine like a river that's a bad shot, I could tell by the flavor. Your selling coffee a drink for about $5, make it GREAT be proud of your work is there no training or no manager overseeing?! Also besides that people count on their coffee and when your not able to be home to make your coffee or go to your fav never fail you coffee shop and then you get a horrible one that makes you feel awful for hours and hours and you regret even getting one that's sad. You can watch a YouTube video on proper shot pulling if inclined to no matter where you work anywhere do the best job possible! Also one last thing, what's organic? I know the 1/2 & 1/2 isn't! Maybe the beans, but then the espresso is flooded with non organic everything else. Defeats the point! This could be a great coffee place if there was more quality control and remove the Organic from you business name or make it all organic. read more
