Stopped by for the Tuesday crab leg special. Haven't been to red lobster in years but figured I could visit my neighborhood spot for some drinks and food. The biscuits are just as good as I remember! The crab legs were really good and you get potatoes and a second side with the special. I ordered a side salad - my biggest con with the salad was that some of the lettuce was old - like really old. The bartenders were really nice and you can tell they've built a good rapport with the frequent visitors. I tried 2 drinks, they were really sweet for my taste but worth the try. I think for a chain restaurant like this I'll have to stick to on the rocks or a beer/wine. The restaurant was decorated nicely for the holidays. I have no ideal why this is a low rate with yelp. I had the Southwest Shrimp Bowl it was surprisingly good very favorable. The rice, shrimp( very fresh) was perfectly prepared. The sauce had a southwest flavor very mild and good for me. Some may think it was spicy. My server was great. The ambiance was nice. I spoke with a couple of guest who stated they had been coming there for about 40 yrs and eat with her favorite brother both seniors twice a week. One of the server had been there 35 years. I'll start with the good and then the bad. Candler Rd Red Lobster. I have been patronizing this place since I was a teenager and my grandmother was taking me. Im now late 50's and I still go here. The food was amazing then the place went down hill and it was barely tolerable but now it has since turned around and is actually delicious now, with mostly good staff. Now my issue is that I sometimes order it online from Redlobster.com big mistake. If the order is wrong, there is basically just an online form. Once, they charged me twice and you could see online where the order was canceled (not by me) so I reordered and got my order. Of course, I completed the form with no response. They don't have a customer service or corporate number so your only option is to call the store which is either too busy to handle the complaint, not authorized, or not trained properly. So again my mother and I enjoy the food, so today May 17th 2026. I decided to order online again and a portion of my order did not come. I reached out to the store and of course remained on hold indefinitely, so I hung up. I completed the online form which continuously gives you a error message. With the prices, you would think that you would have some type of recourse when things are not right!! Just an FYI!!! read more

I ordered the Shrimp platter on choice 2, but when they brought me my food I ordered a street corn shrimp and they didn't have the corn but brought me my plate and the waitress had to go back to find out because she didn't inspect the plate before she brought it and the chef said after the food was served that there was no corn and barely put any rice on my plate. Unprofessional at every turn I placed a curbside pickup order that was to be ready at 5:02. When I pulled up none of the curbside slots were open. So I had to park in a miscellaneous location. At 5:15 I got a text that said my order was on the way. Woohooo!!! After 20 min no one showed. Didn't get a call or text. I called the store and stayed on hold until the automated message HUNG UP ON ME. So I walked in. My order still wasnt ready. They had to print out my order and just started working on it. I wasn't the only curbside pickup that had to walk in and check on their order. On the way in I looked at all the cars in the curbside slots. 4 of them were empty. And when I came out they were still empty which tells me the people that parked in the curbside slots were actually inside sitting down and eating. Of course no one was wearing a name tag. The cashier (cute young lady with caramel complexion and a bun on top of her head) Was very pleasant but you could tell she didn't know what she was doing. She asked the manager since the guy paid cash and he wanted a refund for his drink did she have to refund him in cash. The manager looking lady (dark complexion with short dark wig) was really rude to one of the customers Bc he was frustrated for waiting so long and said he didn't ask for the soda on his order. My order was finally ready at 5:55. At least my order was correct (hence the one star....the only good part of this experience) oh! And they gave me extra biscuits. I visited this restaurant on 2/8/23 and left before ordering because of the horrible customer service. To be fair, the only employee who seemed to value my presence was the short-haired greeter. I have visited this restaurant many times, and she is always consistently nice. I had to wait several minutes before I was seated, even though the restaurant was not packed. As I waited, an older waitress walked up to the greeter and expressed that she didn't know how to help a customer access the rewards app. After the greeter said that she didn't know how either, the waitress uttered a profane word (she said, "sh--") as she walked away. Unacceptable. After I was seated for over 15 minutes, no one ever came to my booth. The older waitress went over to another booth and asked another waitress with assistance with the reward app. I got up and left. I am simply confused how a basic order can be so confusing. I ordered a bowl of New England Clam Chowder and clearly go a cup so I could at least taste it. Then I ordered a build your own platter that comes with two sides and only got the baked potato. The Caesar salad that I paid $2.19 extra for was nowhere in the bag. If I was feeling better, I would have cooked. Restaurants really need to step up their game. People will get tired of paying extra to eat out if they are not at least getting what they pay for. I work at the state psychiatric hospital in the area, so this is pretty much the only "nicer" place to dine in. Service is typically slow, and food is just "okay" in comparison to other Red Lobsters. I do like they have a lunch menu option starting around $7.99. We went with a larger group of people, and our server tried his best, but clearly needed help. My friend's potato wedges looked burnt especially in comparison with someone else's potato wedges. He was able to split our check 10 ways, but this took a long time with no help.
