Our waitress Hannah was really on it- one of those people who just makes the whole meal better without hovering and she went above and beyond- this wasn't the bare minimum , I always appreciate when people do things they didn't have to do. That's the difference between nice and kind. We joked at the table about taking her with us and just making her our waitress everywhere we went. The staff and service are on par with a national chain, the atmoshere is of "corporate" clinic. The food was again just about the same, ok, but lacking in any ability to excel in variety or uniqueness, the "Admirals Feast" is a sampler plater of fried seafoods, butterfly shrimp, scallops, crab strips, and flounder fillets. The cocktail and tarter are "out of a can" lacking in real flavor. The high point was the grilled Brussel sprouts with a teriyaki glaze. It required an additional $3 fee to sample this side dish, the steamed brocoli was just MEH-- like outta a steamer bag, microwaved from the grocery, no sauce, butter, or seasonings. I remember taking Mom to Red Lobster[her favorite] and it was "special"-- maybe 50 years of corporate steerage has made it just average. Could have had fish at Dennys, same food!! We were spending the night at the KOA camp at Grand Island NE and stopped at the Strip Mall to eat after a very long RV drive! We pulled in to Ruby Tuesdays and saw Red Lobster and knew that chain so changed course ! What a mistake that was because no matter how Ruby Tuesdays would be it would have to be better than Red Lobster was! What a dreadful meal we had - one earlier reviewer said it best- a seafood chain in the middle of the best "beef in the world' country!!! But they could ship it in better at the prices they're charging! Our server looked like she had been baking all evening as her uniform had been through the ringer - no excuse for dirty uniforms- sorry! The lobster bake was so tasteless it was almost an insult to fishermen everywhere! My husband's platter had inedible salmon on it - the taste was absolutely awful! I think I've only eaten at Red Lobsters in Nebraska. I've had plenty of great seafood in seacoast places, and of course because of that I had no reason to ever seek them out. I've eaten at this location quite a few times now though, and it's always been on the pretty-good scale (food/service/cleanliness). Actually always better than I expected (no high expectations, but then I usually play it safe by ordering a shrimp dish). My family and I decided to order take out dessert. We ordered on-line and was told the time to be there to pick up our dessert. We arrived later than the time due and still sat waiting for our desserts for another 30 minutes. There is no excuse since the cake is frozen and so is the ice cream. They had nothing to cook. When the waiter delivered our food his comment was, "Sorry it took so long, I wanted to make sure it wasn't frozen." Guess what, when we arrived home it was frozen! Then he forgot to add the ice cream so he had to go back and get some from the kitchen. Very disappointed with the service. Thank goodness the dessert is to die for! read more

Normally have great service when busy, but this is a seafood chain store in the middle of beef country, so...ya, you get what you would expect. The Grand Island store is always clean and staff has always ranged between good to outstanding. If I am going out for a sit down meal and don't want to worry about the wait staff and quality of service service, this is high on my list. If I want amazing food, I go elsewhere. Last 2 trips the seafood was overlooked and while the flavor is good, the texture was not. Chewy lobster or crab legs that don't crack don't cut it. Guess I don't expect fresh caught out here in the corn desert but that isn't an excuse not to prepare the food in the best possible manner. Great place and wonderful Food!! Been here a few times and never had a bad or even medium experience. Recently they updated their menus and even more recent remodeled their restaurant. Not sure if this is nation wide but it basically looks brand new from top to bottom. Waiters are always friendly and it's nice to see the manager stop by to check on the the service. Two stars because the waitress was nice. This was lunch on 12.22.18 when I decided to take my two teenage boys out for a lunch. I knew it would be expensive for a noon meal but it was the Holidays so we splurged. One of my sons asked if he could have the $35 lobster tail dinner, I would normally say no but decided to spoil them and said they could order whatever they wanted. Now, when we go to Red Lobster we expect the biscuits it's our favorite part of the meal and the waitress came out with just two! The boys each grabbed one immediately and the waitress said that more were in the oven. She came back later with a basket that had one, again, more were in the oven the waitress said. Then our food came out and my son stared at his lobster tail that he had been waiting years for me to say okay to and frowned, "it doesn't look like the picture." It sure didn't! It was so over cooked it was a piece of leather that wouldn't even separate from its shell. It wasn't edible so he had French fries for lunch. The biscuits never made it out of the oven. read more

I have eaten here a few times and me and my wife are locals in grand island. Last few times we have eaten here they have always been out of the salmon but that is ok. I understand you are out of food sometimes but it was the last three times not in the same week or even month. What really made me disappointed was that I made a reservation for valentines day because I had gift cards. I made my reservation in January and I checked to make sure that I had a reservation the day before valentines day. Turns out they do not do reservations on valentine's day and they did not honor my reservation. This seemed very unprofessional and I was scrambling to get a reservation at another place. We had a wonderful experience, thanks to our server! Sarah, our server, went above and beyond to ensure the children at our table had everything (including bringing some strawberries over). I think I've finally found a restaurant that Grand Island hasn't managed to screw up. I stopped here with my wife and kids, and the food was very good. From the appetizer of Mozarella Sticks & Calamari to the main course meals, everything was fresh and had good flavors. The prices were the typical over-priced Red Lobster standard, but our waitress was very attentive and even ran my wife's debit card out to our car when she forgot it at the table. For this being a Red lobster it is the best one in this state. The service here is always great unlike their counterpart in Lincoln, Ne (the Lincoln one sucks @$$ btw) I have always had good experiences here, but their prices are pretty high these days.So it is not exactly cost effective to take a family of 4 here. I was very disappointed in the service I received last night at Red Lobster. They need to learn to wait on everyone equally! While my husband received 2 refills on his drink, I wasn't offered any refills. My drink they brought me served in a warm glass and didn't taste at all like what i ordered, they did replace that. I practically had to beg for butter when I requested a extra one at the beginning, it never came. I had to ask for one from one of the fast moving waitresses as she went by. The mashed potatoes were tasteless. While they used to ask if they could give us more biscuits they didn't offer. From the time Red Lobster first came to Grand Island Nebraska as a classy place to eat, it has gone down to the point where I'm not sure I want to go back! I want service!
