I just wished it could stay warm a bit longer on my plate The brussel sprouts were great The escargots were cheesy and garlicky but I've had better The accompanying bread pieces were toasted and crispy but looked kind of sad The chocolate cake was a generous portion and delicious Not a whole lot of non-alcoholic mocktail selection but they do have 2 dealcoholized beers. Updated review July 2025. We visited Red Lobster in Oshawa. We were delighted to see the Crabfest menu which is on until I believe September. We were greeted by the same friendly server Dee. She has excellent customer service skills and knowledge on the menu. She made suggestions on the menu such as Crabby stuffed mushrooms, margarita flights, and steak and shrimp daily special $25. We ended up ordering the Mariner seafood boil with garlic and herb sauce and the steak and shrimp special. For appetizer we tried the crabby stuffed mushrooms. All the food was scrumptious and we were given bibs and gloves to keep us from making a mess with the seafood boil. The Mariners boil is good for 2 people. Next time we will just order this and one appetizer. The restaurant is clean and staff are friendly. Recommend making a reservation if you don't want to wait. read more

This review is a long time coming and actually overdue. The Red Lobster in Oshawa is exceptional. With all of the sad news, sharing the many closings of Red lobster restaurants in the United States, I sincerely hope that this location stays open. This is a favourite restaurant for my family. We absolutely love the salmon, New Orleans, the Fish and chips, and, of course, the incredibly tasty buns that are endless. This is one of the only restaurants that I know that still provides an opportunity to dine out and enjoy a variety of seafood, entrées. Not only is the food, amazing, but the manager at this location is one in a million. His name is Aravin. He is so kind and understanding and always tries his best to accommodate any requests that we have. From our experiences, he treats us more like family. When we have returned, he remembers our names and comes up to us, and greets us when he sees us. On special birthdays, he always gives us special attention if he is there and even brought my wife a free dessert after we chatted for a few minutes. The other manager that we have met, Karthika is also very kind and is always willing to make your stay comfortable. She, like Aravin, is also trying to accommodate any special requests that you share. Recently, we have also been fortunate to have a server by the name of Kim, who is also very hospitable and patient. She patiently takes pictures on special locations, but never makes you feel that it is an imposition. We went here for a family birthday dinner. We called ahead, but couldn't get a reservation for a Saturday night. We arrived just after 7:00pm with a group of 6. This is my first time going to Red Lobster and I was actually quite surprised! It was so busy! After waiting about half an hour by the bar to get a table, we were seated. We had a friendly server who was patient and joked around with us. She remembered to get the birthday girl a birthday dessert too! I ordered wayyy too big of a meal (garlic shrimp, sirloin steak, mashed potatoes, and Caesar salad) but everything was tasty and arrived at the same time as the others. Had an awesome meal at the Oshawa Location tonight. Always have to stop in during endless shrimp with my family. My favourite this year would definitely have to be the sriracha honey shrimp even more so than my all time fav of garlic shrimp. I have always felt like I was a seafood connoisseur. I love seafood of any kind... brackish water fish, fresh water fish , all fish. no wait, I cannot do the squid or octopus a second time. Anyway I took my mother and daughter and a friend out for an early dinner we all ate the same thing. Lobster, shrimp and salad. The lobster was dry , crunchy and most definitely overcooked . I trudged on , even dipping it into the garlic butter from the shrimps.(that didn't work ). Within the hour I was throwing up in a borrowed friends new car, all over myself and the car. I got home still throwing up and then the other end decided to join the so called party. took over 30 hours to finally feel human again! So thumbs down on a lot of good money spent on bad food. It's a chain; of course it will be good! The new menu is larger, but I didn't notice that many new items. I DID notice the fish tacos! I got the tilapia fish tacos and my mom got the lobster tacos. You get 3 tacos plus a side and they were great! Lots of fish with some spicy sauce; I'd get them again! This Red Lobster was on point. After my disappointing night at Red Lobster a few weeks ago, my boyfriend who is a fan of the coconut shrimp really wanted to hit up the venue before they close down next year. We got there at a busy hour, 8pm on Saturday night. It was expected that we'd have to wait. We waited about 15-20min for a seat. Our server was professional and efficient. She brought out our buns right away which is great when you have been waiting to be seated. They were warm and fresh! I ordered the Create Your Own 2 Course (Walt's Jumbo Shrimp & Shrimp linguini alfredo w/ Mashed Potato's). It also came with A Caesar or House Salad to start. I had Caesar and again, it was delicious! My man had the Create Your Own 3 Course (Coconut Shrimp, Grilled Salmon and Grilled Chicken w/ a House Salad to start). We both shared a Sunset Pina Colada. We both waxed off our meals like two happy clams and left with a full belly. Our waitress was very accomodating and not annoying. She gave us enough space to eat and not interrupt but also checked in here and there with perfect timing to make sure we were enjoying our meals. Red lobster is once of my favourite places to dine to. I always recommend it, mostly because whenever I go it's such a treat. The best thing about it is, the biscuits. They are so amazing, soft on the inside and the perfect amount of crunch on the outside. I always take some home to eat them with breakfast the next morning. Ps. They taste even better with eggs. What I suggest you get at red lobster is the crab legs. It's to die for, other than the biscuits I recommend you try the salmon, it's perfectly cooked and has the right seasoning as well. Also the Grilled shrimp and the garlic butter shrimp. I'm not a big fan of pasta but if you are they have many different combinations for you to enjoy. read more

I have not been to red lobster in years and being a seafood connoisseur, I'm not really into frozen seafood. We decided to come to Red Lobster in Oshawa to try out their endless shrimp for only $22. I was present surprised on how busy this place was.. and for a reason. I believe it's because of the friendly staff that is incredible. Our waitress Stephanie was incredible and very tentative to any refills on drinks or shrimp. Never had to wait for her and she knew when exactly to come back (great waitress IQ). but all in all the food was great, service was great, little bit of line up but well worth out time. Every once in a while we go to Red Lobster for dinner. I wouldn't call it great sea food, but it's pretty good and it's a fun place to go. Really enjoy the hot and fresh Cheddar Bay Biscuits at the start! Then I normally get 'Create Your Own Combo' and build it with Garlic Grilled Shrimp, Walt's Favourite Shrimp and Shrimp Linguini Alfredo. That and a side salad and you're good to go! Took my mom there for her 82 birthday. She had the crab said it was excellent. Little mix up in the kitchen but they caught it and more then made up for it . My parents were in town to visit my grandmother, and even though they live out on the coast, the one thing they say they miss the most is Red Lobster. We all usually go around 4 30... So we don't have to wait. The place was busy, but our server was competent -- a couple minor gaffs, but nothing major. Wife and I had the bar harbour bake, everyone else had ultimate feasts. The server saw we were all immersed in lively conversation and showed fantastic discretion on her check-ins as to not interrupt our experience. That was a great moment of customer service. I have went many times before. It was very good. Now my visit today was horrific. The crab pasta I ordered was served very less than usual. The server was very boring and did not make me smile. The apple dessert was undercooked. Made my stomach hurt. We had to ask for large plates. Did not even feel like giving a tip. The food did not taste so good as before. Probably half a dozen visits over the past year. Food quality has clearly deteriorated, particularly over past few months. Examples: 1) Salads smaller, and often served on quite hot plates. At one time RL salad plates were chilled 2) No melted butter is now provided,not even with lobster 3) No birthday cake or celebration -Why not- it used to be a feature. 4. Sides are hit and miss. Last time a miss-only the potato-no other veg. During last visit-Sept.22/07- the men's washroom absolutely filthy!! Feces all over the floor with a stomach-churning trail leading out the door. We went out for a belated Valentine's dinner on Sunday, February 19. Ordered the Seaside Shrimp Trio. Replaced the Shrimp Alfredo with crabmeat and enjoyed an awesome meal. We got home, watched TV for a few hours and went to bed around 11 pm. By 12 am, I was up vomiting and had diarrhea as well for hours. Two days later and am still recovering. Horrible Red Lobster location - took my mom here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We were seated right away as there weren't many guests there. We were seated for about 20 mins until i flagged down a server and asked why no one has come to our table yet? He was surprised that no one has been to our table and went to go find someone. He came back saying there was a miscommunication with the servers and one will be with us shortly. We then seen 2 servers arguing about who was going to serve us, one even said "next time you should know what your doing" really loudly as she was walking to our table and then came to ask us our drink orders. She seemed really upset and was in such a rush and didn't take our entire order (seeing as we had so much time on our hands, we already knew what we wanted to order). When she returned with our drinks we ordered the seafood nacho dip as a starter and she walked away not even acknowledging what we just said and then came back about 7 mins later to say they don't offer the seafood nachos anymore.... The entire time she was serving us she didn't smile or say anything friendly it was strictly business to her and she made it seem like we were a burden table and was in such a rush. The service here really and truly sucks. I been here many times before and i have never been treated in such a manner. Went here with family for a midweek birthday dinner as we usually do when we're in Oshawa. I guess we go here since we all like the atmosphere - Its cozy & surprisingly quiet for a busy place. Our waitress (Dee) was full of positive energy and was a great server. She kept our glasses and bread basket full the entire meal. My other family members all commented on how great she was. Poor service poor food limited dinner menu seem to believe quantity and not quality would never eat there again

My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and decided that it would be our last visit. The last couple times we've gone the quality has declined, so we find it best to spend the money elsewhere as we're students and like to enjoy ourselves when we decide to splurge a little. We had always enjoyed Red Lobster and considered it a treat to go. One time we visited and it was during a heat wave. The air conditioning was out and the staff were frazzled. We waited almost an hour for our steaks, in the meantime slowly boiling to death at our table. We asked for cold water a couple times, but the ice was half melted by the time we got it. The steaks were both over-cooked to past well-done, when they had been ordered as medium. The last time we visited was a couple weeks ago. We had called ahead and were seated promptly. I had a cranberry iced tea which was really good. Our lobster dip appetizer was unbelievably salty. I have enjoyed that appetizer every single time I've gone to Red Lobster, but this time it was unpalatable. My garlic shrimp were the same.. flavourful but very salty. My husband wasn't happy with his selection either, so we ended up leaving. It was very pricey for the quality of the food. read more

Five of us went there for a family dinner. The service was very good but the lobsters were overcooked, steaks were OK, but just can't beat the steaks we grill in our own back yard. As soon as we saw the ad for endless shrimp, we got a reservation (new option at this location) and came out! It was my first time to this one, and it was super busy - glad we called ahead ;). The hostess seated us quickly and we only waited a few minutes before Deb our server came by. She could tell right away we meant business about AYCE shrimp- gave us space to order our drinks and brought the biscuits and salads quickly... (10 mins after we were seated ). I had a negative experience at the last location (Toronto) as the food was cold and shrunken when it arrived. .so wasn't sure what to expect. When the food arrived (garlic shrimp, hand breaded) I took a picture because it looked so fresh and piping hot! Honestly I enjoyed EVERY bite- very moist and flavorful. Even the popcorn shrimp was fresh and most when we ordered and she kept the orders flowing faster than we could eat - we are now sitting very full and happy. The only let down was the broccoli which was slightly overcooked and separating, and the Sriracha shrimp was too spicy for my mother-in-law, but overall the best red lobster meal I've had.
