This was my first haircut by Jean Marc & I was very impressed. Before my hair got washed we talked a bit about my hair & what I was looking for. Jean Marc listened to what I was saying, but I ultimately told him to be creative & do what he felt was best. I find that allowing the stylist freedom usually gets the best haircut. Jean Marc spent quite a bit of time cutting my hair- I did not feel at all rushed. And the results showed that he took his time- he gave me a great haircut. Natalie and Martin (the colorists I'm talking about) work super hard and have mad skills -- especially when it comes to natural-looking highlights. See picture above for reference. I went here for a haircut even though it took me an hour and 20 minutes to get there (in the rain). I had Jean Marc cut my hair (I did not know he was the owner at the time). It is a very upscale salon and I was quite pleased with the way everything went except for the fact that when I sat down with my 9 1/2 year old son to wait a woman came over to ask if we wanted water or coffee and she said to my son "oh you are so polite and I see you are here with your grandmother!" To which I looked at her and said "I am the mother." She continued and said "oh really?" I always thought when you are not sure it's better not to say . While I didn't care for her and thought she was rude, he was a delight to work with and gave me a beautiful haircut . Also when I checked in thru Yelp, I received a free conditioning treatment for my hair. That was really lovely! I was very happy with the cut and recommend the salon. read more

Jean Marc gave me a fantastic hair cut that was long overdo thanks to the pandemic. He talked me through every step of the process and made absolutely sure I was comfortable at all times. Even though the salon is quite far for me, I will be back. I enjoyed that there was a very clean and lovely fragrance, which I noticed right when I walked in. This review is long overdue. I was on vacation and desperately needed a cut and style. Caityln the receptionist was sweet and made me feel welcome. I got my hair mastered by Mysol and I couldn't be happier. What impressed me most was her ability to listen to my needs/wants and deliver with a style that matches my look. I am very low maintenance Boss Lady. I don't blow dry my hair or style it in the morning. I need to be able to just get up and go and it needs to look as effortless as it is to manage and upkeep. That's all the direction I gave her and she ran with it. Wow, did Mysol deliver! I don't have to do anything to it and it looks absolutely stunning all the time. This place is a complete RIP OFF. Natalie has ruined my hair countless times and she can never get it right. Such an embarrassment when my co-workers ask me....."why is your hair white and four different colors"? Natalie boasts how magnificent she is and struts around like she is a goddess when in reality she is merely a pedestrian. This place caters to an older clientele that is happy for whatever they can do and is far from a quality salon. Just because you can provide wifi and a latte in a fancy high end mall does not mean you can earn your client's trust. Beware of all the fancy packaging but what glitters is not always gold. I was tired and bored of my long hair. After reading so many good reviews about Red Market I figured I would take a chance and try them out. I ended up going with their Senior Stylist who was Jean Marc Durante. Jean Marc did a spectacular job! I went from hair down to the middle of my back to a long symmetrical bob. I've never been that satisfied before with a haircut. He put so much love and emphasis into my hair and made me feel sexy all over again. I'd definitely consider Jean Marc if you're nervous and looking for a change. He is top notch and a true professional! I also recommend Drekel and/or Jessica for a blow out. Although the prices are a bit steep it is well worth it. As you know if you want something good you have to pay the extra buck for it at times! read more

Went last weekend to get made up for an event and wow! Dimitri the manager took amazing care of me! Guillome did my blow dry and styled it impeccably. He achieved the exact look I was going for. Plus he was so nice and we bonded over our love of designer sneakers. I had my makeup done by Inga. She took her time and made sure my foundation was picture perfect. She was an expert at applying my make up and topped off the look with the most amazing false eyelashes. I loved every minute of my experience at Red Market and will definitely be back! This Salon experience truly deserves no ratings whatsoever! I've been trying to find a salon that specializes in color for about a year now, and thought to give this place a try... was willing to spend a good amount in order to get the results. But since I've had no luck in Miami finding a decent colorist that really knows how to make a natural brunette into a blonde, I used a GILT offer to tried them out (I paid the highest offer of $199). First off, since they know you're not paying the full amount, they were standoffish from the start. When I told Natalie specifically what I was looking for she started to tell me she could only do a darker base and that after the highlights will make everything lighter again. I started to get worried, but I thought to giver her a chance... As it turned out her suggestion was not true at all, I came in with roots and left with roots. She did not listen to anything I told her about my hair, she took off to talk to her mom that was there visiting her at the salon and left me for 45 minutes... the base color only had to be on for 30 minutes. She did not apologize for her disappearance, and when she came back she washed and then applied uneven highlights with no foil or paper on my hair. When she finished I could tell she knew the color was chocolate not light blonde on my roots like I requested and that the highlights were uneven, but she did nothing, but recommended that I should highlight my own hairline if I found it too dark... ( I was like, I just paid you to do that) I spend close to 3 hours there and I had a dinner to attend to so couldn't take the time to stay and have her work on my hair, and honestly after that treatment I plainly did not trust her. On top of it all they don't tell you when you book the appointment that you'll be blow-drying your own hair as there is no one on Sunday to do so. So I had to do it myself, Natalie offered some brush a blow dry that was there. This experience was just horrible the worse customer service for a high-end mall. I would not recommend this Salon or this Colorist to anyone. They don't listen to their clients, they're careless and don't make you feel good about being in their salon. JUST HORRIBLE, I WOULDN'T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR HAIR!!!! Money down the drain. read more

I have been going to Red Market Salon for the past 3 years. I love the service and the staff. I often call last minute to book a service - basic blow dry and they always accommodate me, which is amazing! For a great blow out Dekel and Carlos will do the trick! Sofie is also really good. I am REALLY picky about manicures and pedicures. Being born and raised in Miami I always look for a technician that can not only properly clean and shape, but polish properly. Irina is by far one of the best in town! She is super thorough and you will leave loving your mani and pedi. Lots of colors to chose from and even nail art. It may be a bit pricier than your average salon, but all tools and supplies are one-time use only. So it is never shared with others (files, buffers, etc) and guarantees the top in cleanliness. Tip: if you are in a rush - get a blow out during your mani session! So go shop at the beautiful mall and pass by Red Market. It's like family there! read more

I used to travel to Faceplace in the Meat Packing District (NYC) all the way from Brooklyn just to get mani / pedi's with Erica Marton. Because they are...well to simply put it.....truly the best. So you can imagine my thrill when I heard she would be relocating to FLA !!!!!! NOW I travel to Bal Harbour all the way from Ft. Lauderdale just to see her and get my nails / toes done. It is totally worth the trip. Erica's pedicures are at least an hour and her massages are reflexology. Plus she is has amazing energy and is super fun and personable. Erica also introduced me to Natalie (colorist) on one of my visits since I have yet to find a colorist in FLA that I like. So grateful she did because Natalie is the BOMB for color. I have not had good luck with colorist in FLA until Red Market. I am a blonde and colorists always tend to make my highlights chunky and stripey (I am talking Zebra stripes). All I said to Natalie was make my hair color look like yours !!! She did, and it looks amazing. So now Red Market is my new one stop shop for nails and hair color !!!!!!! They think cause you live in bal harbor or have a nice bag they can rip you off I called the day before asking to make sure it would not be over 300 to bleach roots the girl who answered responded and said it would definitely be under 300 when I go to pay it is 490 -500 after tip mind you I am only getting roots done and blow dry after they did a hair treatment and other stuff I had not asked for and the blow dry was 85 which I don't mind paying but it went flat an hour later and the toner/gloss lasted only two washes and my roots were back to yellow orange if I'm paying so much I would expect quality service, I live across the road and thought it would be convenient to get my hair done here but they are a rip off and while I am tipping the lady who did my hair she was standing there staring at me while the guy asked how much I want to tip that is rude !!
