Food was good & service was fine. Crowded when we went but got prompt attention. Menu had a nice selection.

The locals are on a schedule that's a mystery to us. A schedule that's not posted anywhere. You're…read moreeither in the loop or you're not. S and I try to work it out. Siesta is predictable. Every afternoon, the city shuts down for a few hours. But other stuff is trickier to decipher. When do people in Sevilla eat, for instance? That might be the biggest mystery of all. Some days at noon, this lovely little pita joint on the Plaza Calderón de la Barca is totally empty. Other days, it's a madhouse, and it seems like the whole neighborhood is sitting out front in the sunshine drinking cañas of beer. When you don't know the local schedule, you get paranoid, and you start to imagine that everything is following a schedule that you're not privy to. Like last night. I saw several unrelated groups of little kids on rollerblades, and I wondered if it was "Rollerblade Friday." A few days before that when I kept seeing people wearing the same kind of knitted scarf, I convinced myself that it was "Knit Scarf Tuesday." That's how it is when you're a stranger. You find yourself at lunchtime sitting alone at Pitacasso eating a plate of yummy falafel balls, wondering where everybody is and how they figured out that's where they're supposed to be.

We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids. The food is fabulous. The place is also great for vegetarians. Falafel sandwich was great. The chicken curry with rice was finger licking good, my daughter loved it. I had the steak pita and also the chicken pita- delicious! The tomato gazpacho was fabulous too. Hummus with pita - fab ! Grilled veggies -mmmmm The only problem was the menu was in Spanish and translating was a bit of a problem, but the owner tried her best. But if you are not a vegetarian and can eat any kind of meat, then you really can't go wrong with any order here, even if u don't know what it is in Spanish!
